Commonwealth Tree Care is a great company that does fabulous work. They have very knowledgeable, trained, and experienced teams, and they keep you informed every step of the way.

Wonderful service, wonderful company, wonderful communication. Commonwealth gave me a quote right away, at a very reasonable price. The quote was itemized so I could choose according to my priority. They came right on time, expertly cut down the tree and removed all debris. I highly recommend Commonwealth Tree Care.

I had a large tree branch partially break off and fall on my roof. I had seen Commonwealth Tree Care working in my neighborhood so I found their website and did a contact request. The next day they had someone out to do an estimate and the day after that a crew came by to remove that limb and prune other hazardous branches. I appreciated that they were as interested as I was in keeping the tree alive and healthy. I would definitely recommend Commonwealth Tree Care for your arboreal needs.

I could never have imagined the service I received from this company . Employees work well together / get the job done . Efficient. Clean and fantastic at what they do . They care about the trees - they even asked me if I wanted to keep some trees :) . We had 28 trees removed and needed to for a huge addition . I tried with quotes and feeling out different tree services . Some are very well known but never felt comfortable with them or let alone like the quotes given . This company is the best at what they do , at least check into them because you won’t be disappointed.

It was a pleasure to work with Commonwealth Tree Care. I had several mature trees that I needed cut down and they were easily able to take care of the job. The process for getting a quote was easy and I was able to be added to their schedule in a timely manner. The team was professional at every step in the process and made sure any questions I had were answered. I would be happy to hire this company in the future for any additional tree care needs.

The team at Commonwealth are amazing. From Lawson standing in the snow discussing how they will take the multiple trees down, the safety and professionalism of the crew(James, Sam, Jose, and Conner), and the curtesy call and follow up from Emily in the office. I have used Commonwealth Tree Care twice now and both times have felt that I got more than my money’s worth. With these guys I feel like I’m using people who actually care about trees, not just a crew of people hired to cut branches willy-nilly. In the estimate process I was made aware of how much trimming could be done without causing harm to the tree and I really appreciated that. I definitely plan to use them for any future tree work and I have recommended them to friends.

When they had an opening in their schedule, they offered to move up the scheduled date for my tree work (no pressure), were able to bring out the bucket-truck, and knocked my job out in less than a full day. The crew was on-point and totally blitzed the job. They laid down heavy geo-mats for the heavy traffic areas and kept the yard damage to a minimum. Good cleanup job after they were finished too. We used Commonwealth Tree Care to remove a huge white oak that was dying in our front lawn. Between organizing the city permit, the crane, and working around our busy schedules, Commonwealth was incredibly flexible, cooperative, and communicative. On top of all of that, their prices were very reasonable compared to other quotes we got for the work. We will definitely use them again for our future tree maintenance needs!

All part involved: customer service, the crew, crew manager Sam, and Mr Patton himself are truly professional team. Despite weather challenges, the task of cutting trees and clearing tree limbs was executed in timely manner. The crew left the site cleaned and in order. All tasks were fulfilled as required. They did a great job taking down a very tall oak tree that was right next to our house and grinding the stump down. Price was very fair too.

Great crew, solid pricing.
We had 5 large trees with branches hanging over the house, some almost touching the roof. They were able to take them all down quickly and efficiently without leaving a scratch on the house and they cleaned up well afterward. Best pricing I’ve found in the Richmond area.

Our experience with Commonwealth Tree Care was stellar! They were quick to respond, provided knowledgeable advice, created a clear plan, honest pricing and good work. We were not on the property when the work was done and we could not even tell they had been there except for the removal of the tree. Their respect of the yard and clean up of debris was very impressive and thorough. They will be our go to tree service moving forward.

Commonwealth Tree Care did a wonderful job trimming as well as removing a couple of trees. The owner, Lawson, is a certified arborist. He knows and loves trees. The foreman, Sam and the rest of the crew did a great job. They were polite and professional. We will definitely use Commonwealth Tree Care again, and enthusiastically recommend them.

Really loved working Commonwealth. They made the quoting process super easy, their pricing was extremely fair vs other local providers, and their work was top notch. They even included extra stump grinding I need at no extra cost. Loved working with them and will only use them going forward.
