Commonwealth Tree Care took down a sizable Red Oak Tree that sadly was declining. The canopy of the tree almost touched electrical lines behind our house, and the tree was alongside the back of our home. Commonwealth did a phenomenal job of safely taking down the tree in a very tight area. I highly recommend them and would definitely use their services again.

A few years ago I needed tree work done on my property and I wanted a licensed arborist to guide me. I set up appointments with five companies and chose Commonwealth for the job. When a tree fell on my property recently, I had to make only one call. I’m so grateful for the quick and efficient removal of the tree and debris and for the courteous and professional team that handled the work on a brutally hot day.

A great job for a great price. I had a 200 yo oak, close to my house. They maneuvered those big trucks in a small space and did minimal damage to the understood. Will definitely use them again

Lawson was very helpful and definitely knowledgeable in assessing a very big Willow Oak that sits close to the back of the house. Promptly provided an estimate which was very fair. Crew came out right on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up after. I would definitely use them again.

This is the 3rd time I’ve had to use Comminwealth tree care - another one of my big oak trees had to be removed because it was no longer healthy. -Once again they did a fantastic and efficient job. Their employees are incredibly knowledgeable and straight forward. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I had a fantastic experience with Commonwealth. From start to finish everyone I interacted with was kind, knowledgeable and professional. Lawson came out to assess our project and he is incredible, truly cares about his work and the health of your trees. The team that came out to complete our project was thorough, efficient and overall did a great job. We last minute requested that some of the removed tree limb be left for firewood and they generously cut it into manageable sections for us to chop later. Cannot recommend this company enough and will be a customer for life.

Good, hardworking people who price tree work fairly. They’re also very fast and have the right equipment to get the job done appropriately. My old maple tree was removed and ground up in just 2-hours. I’ve hired them to take out another mature tree, too.
I’d have given 5 stars if there weren’t some good sized “dents” left in my yard. Big limbs could have been lowered with rope instead of dropped from on high.

Lawson and his crew were outstanding from first contact to completion of a very complex and risky job removing a 14,500+ lb tree from my roof due to storm damage. The job was declined by another prominent tree service because of the concern for risking further damage. Can not say enough great things about Commonwealth Tree Care! They are true tree experts.

The crew at CTC took care of my problematic trees with no issues. They executed the removal professionally and safely and I didn't even have to rake! So much better than the "discount" tree folks I've used off of marketplace. I have had previous issues with the discount guys from safety, insurance issues etc. I have more to worry about then "well we think the tree will fall this way." You only have 1 chance to get it right and we are so happy we made the right decision with CTC.

Prior to snow Commonwealth Tree Care removed a large tree from the center of my drainfield. This required special care and special equipment. The job was handled as described to me. It was very professionally done. I would definitely use the service again and would reccomend.

I had a difficult situation with a neighbor’s tree. Commonwealth assessed it and advised me on how to approach the neighbor. Months later, the tree - a huge white pine - fell across my yard and crushed the roof of my garage. The removal was complicated. Commonwealth was responsive throughout and coordinated with insurance. I greatly appreciated the same 1:1 contact throughout those months and the deep experience of his larger team.

Commonwealth Tree Care's response was quick. They communicated well when the schedule had to be changed. I appreciated their taking caution prior to the job so that no one's safety was jeopardized. We happened to be out of town when the work was done. We came home to a job well done and a clean yard. Pleasant, efficient, cautious, affordable.

I had two large Willow Oaks taken down. One of them was 3ft from a 3 phase power line. Commonwealth worked with Dominion to get it trimmed back and then safely removed my trees using a crane. They worked quickly, cleaned up after themselves, and made sure all work was safely done.

I got 12 estimates for my job. Commonwealth was by far the best communicator, gave a reasonable estimate, ensured both my house and my neighbors were insured for damages, and did great work. I’m out of trees to hire them again but I will be recommending them to all my friends and neighbors. I would also like to shout out Arborscapes who recommended Commonwealth Tree Care.

It’s literally 8 am, I am a night shift worker, and two young men have been LEAFblowing DUST (no leaves, no grass, literal DUST) lazily directly outside my window for 30 minutes, and just stared at me when I asked them to stop and continued to leaf blow nothing but air for the next hour. I understand needing to get a job done, but aimlessly wandering around and creating incessant noise this early in the morning to avoid helping your coworkers or doing more work is absolutely ridiculous. The lawn work wasn’t even done well. Waking people up early just do to a crap job, too. Looks like an absolute MESS out here.
