Pathetic!

I've been a satisfied YME Landscape customer for about 5-years. The owner and team are always courteous, responsible, and professional. They leave my yard well manicured and properly cared for in an expeditious manner. They are dependable and fairly priced. I highly recommend them for your landscaping needs.

My experience with Little Garden Girl LLC has been extremely disappointing and deeply frustrating. I hired Jaclyn, the owner, for a hardscape installation project [Job no: 1113 / Estimate date: 03/01/2025], and while she was responsive before taking payment, everything changed the moment the job was completed. Since then, she has refused to answer a single call or text message — not once, over the course of an entire year.

This is not a minor delay or a missed message. I have contacted her repeatedly, across many months, and she has chosen to ignore every attempt.

What makes this even more unacceptable is that her own written estimate clearly states:
“If a paver or any part of the installation should be knocked loose or otherwise need repair due to no fault of the client, LGG Team will return and repair at no charge.”
This is a written commitment — yet she has completely failed to honor it.

A contractor who disappears the moment a problem arises is not someone homeowners should trust. The lack of accountability, the refusal to communicate, and the disregard for her own warranty speak volumes. Based on my experience, I strongly warn others. There are far more reliable and professional companies available.

We hired Little Garden Girl in April 2024 for a landscape design and installation at our home in Richmond. We paid $10,100 for the installation of the landscaping.

In spring 2026, while preparing the yard for the season, we discovered that the trees, which had been gradually dying since July 2024, had been planted with their burlap and wire mesh wrapping still intact around the root balls. Industry standards (ANSI A300 Part 6 and ISA Best Management Practices) require this material to be removed or cut back at planting; leaving it in place causes the roots to girdle. Every tree she installed has died. We have already paid $1,000+ out of pocket to have the dead trees removed and replaced.

Our communication history with the owner over the life of the project:

- July 22, 2024 — We messaged Jac concerned about the health of the trees.
- August 19, 2024 — Jac told us she would add us to her maintenance schedule. She never did.
- March 21, 2025 — We asked her to come address the dead trees and provide an estimate for replanting.
- March 26, 2025 — Jac came to the site, examined the trees, and conducted soil testing.
- May 2, 2025 — We followed up on the soil testing results and next steps for replacements. We never heard back.
- April 1, 2026 — We sent a certified letter requesting either remediation or a refund of the installation portion. No response.
- May 7, 2026 — We called the owner directly and left a voicemail. No response.

Two years of dying trees, a maintenance schedule that never materialized, soil tests with results we never received, and a certified letter that went unanswered.

A few recommendations for anyone considering this business:

1. Verify the active status of the LLC with the Virginia State Corporation Commission before signing a contract.
2. Get warranty terms in writing before any plants go in the ground.
3. Inspect every tree before the contractor leaves the site to confirm burlap and wire have been removed from the root ball — this is the single most important thing you can do to protect your investment.

The installation work we paid for was not performed to standard, and our outreach has been ignored.

Jaclyn has a wonderful eye for aesthetics and did such a great job collaborating and bringing my vision to life.
I'll be recommending her to everyone I know.

Jaclyn took care of my half acre lawn for several months as well as some one-off big projects, like stump removal. She has been professional at work and in her communication and her estimates and pricing are accurate and fair. I will definitely use her going forward for large landscaping projects or design help.

Jac installed French drains in my yard and helped solve the water issue in my basement that had been plaguing me since I purchased my house. Then work was done on time, for less than anyone else had quoted me, and to say it was done exceptionally well would be an understatement. Jac is the only person I’ll call for any landscaping/hardscaping work in the future and who I recommend to anyone needing work done on their property. A+

I'm so glad I reached out to Little Garden Girl when I did! Jaclyn does amazing work with a deft, gentle touch. She took over a front yard project that I had started but hadn't had the time or motivation to complete. Within hours, a huge mass of weeds and debris was transformed into a beautifully defined garden bed, ready for planting. In the back yard, she uncovered a path of slate stepping stones which had been overgrown by grass and dirt over the years. I'm not sure how she did it without digging everything out and re-laying the stones, but the path itself was undisturbed. Both front and back spaces are more inviting and peaceful now. Highly recommend!

Gardening used to be a huge passion of mine, but I've been in a funk the last couple years where gardening seemed like an unattainable task.
I reached out to Jaclyn to give my gardens a fresh start and get them back to a manageable state. She did such a fantastic job of absorbing my goals, creating a plan, and executing the vision. Her and her team were so sweet and went above and beyond for me. As my early Spring bulbs are popping up, it's bringing me so much joy and appreciation to her and her team for bringing my gardens back to life and in turn, reinvigorating my joy of gardening.

Jac and her team were wonderful to work with! We had them come out to replace some mismatched bushes and overhaul our front garden last fall. I gave some inspiration and asked for mostly natives but gave Jac free reign otherwise and I love with the result! This spring everything is growing in nicely and I have the cottage/faerie garden of my dreams

Ramos Landscaping did my mulch this year. He absolutely did the best cleaning and edging of my mulch beds I have ever had. He will do you an excellent job.
