Electrical reviews in Springfield, Virginia

I've used Bola's services on three occasions and wouldn't trust anyone else at this point. They wired our unfinished basement and a home gym area masterfully. Then they installed a charging station for our EV setup and made the whole thing stress free. Lastly, Bola installed a Ring floodlight and camera above our garage after giving us different options that best suited our needs. Elite attention to detail; white glove customer service; and arrived on time every time. The best!

BLUF: Excellent communication. No hassle. Quick. Competitive prices. Completely satisfied. Will work with again.

Longer Version: My gas water heater went bad and I wanted to replace it with a hybrid heat pump to take advantage of tax incentives. Unfortunately, this required some electrical work to deal with the extra power load involved, which would involve cutting through a good amount of drywall. So I got some estimates.

A brief digression on estimates: A lot of plumbing and electrical companies are reluctant to talk much to you on the phone, preferring instead to send someone to your house for a fee to give you a sense of sunken costs. BOLA was the only one who would give me a rough estimate with a few photos without coming out to the house, which was cool and convenient.

After getting three estimates, I went with BOLA because they had the best price (by a pretty good amount!) and because I was able to have a conversation with the owner/master electrician himself and he took the time to answer all of my many questions and give me a good feeling about his character and professionalism.

He came to my house to see the job in person, and to my surprise the quote matched the cost he estimated from the photos. No surprise fees, no "well, there's a problem...", we scheduled the job for a few days after that.

As for the job, he took just a few of hours. He cut fewer holes in the drywall than his competitors said they needed to do, and all cuts were neat for ease of repair. He kept the place clean, laying a tarp wherever he worked. Everything was smooth, no issues at all. He was even kind enough to answer all of my many questions after the work was finished.

As I switch out more gas appliances for electric, I intend to work with him again. He's a real professional and he made everything as easy as possible for me.

Abdel was courteous and punctual. He was efficient and effective. I would recommend him to others.

great communication, efficient installation, on time, effective problem solving when encountered a problematic issue, continuous follow up, reasonable pricing

Abdel is an amazing electrician and even better person. He installed a 240V plug for our electric car, and worked with me on schedule and timing. I definitely appreciate his professionalism, pricing and workmanship, and will go to him for all electric needs in the future!

Great guy and very knowledgeable, plus a reasonable rate. I contract with many commercial electricians in my professional capacity so I was glad to see that Abdel was right in line with the pricing that I’m used to, and he cited code better than other folks I’ve worked with. I’ll use Abdel for all my electric needs going forward.

Abdel answered our emergency call for a shorted light pendant at the hair salon I manage and squeezed us in to help. He was so knowledgeable, but also kind, honest, accommodating, and communicative! Thank you so much again for helping us out, Abdel!

I had a great experience with Bola Electric. Abdel showed up on time and quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue on a partial dead line in my house. He is a true and honest professional. I'm going to use their services going forward for a few other pressing electrical issues and any future occurrences.

Mr. Laasri is an excellent Electrician he knows what he is doing for any type of electrical issue. I had to have my electrical panel replaced and I also needed a 20 amp independent plugs for my home theater setup and he was able to complete these items very quickly and efficiently. He will also explain exactly what needs to be done and answer any questions that you may have. A real pleasure thanks so much! Highly recommended A+ 5 star!!

Abdel did a fantastic job at our house! He listened to our situation and explained the problem very clearly to us. He then presented us with options and gave us his advice. He even fixed an additional outlet we'd been having trouble with. Highly recommend!

We're so happy we found Bola Electric. Abdel came out fast, and fixed the problem quickly at a great price.
Also took the time to look around our house and made some suggestions about what we might consider doing in the near and long-term, while emphasizing what could and could not wait.

Long and short, Bola is our go-to for electric issues from now on. Thanks Abdel!

Abdel is an excellent electrician. He is very thorough and competent and he takes safety seriously. I've lived in my current house for 9 years and Abdel has done a lot of work over that time to include: switching all of my outlets and light switches on the main floor, installing an attic light, two ceiling fans in the upstairs bedrooms, two outdoor lights, an outdoor outlet, a light in the basement, and some troubleshooting with a blown fuse on my heat pump. It is clear he takes pride in his work and makes sure that his clients are satisfied with the job. I would highly recommend him for any electrical work.

Abdel did a really good job replacing my exhaust fan. I had a bad experience with a previous electrician and when I called him, he was immediately available that same day to come and replace my fan. His work was very neat, quite reasonable, and was efficient. I would definitely recommend him!

I would highly recommend BOLA for your electrical needs. Abdel is incredibly knowledgeable, accommodating, responsive, efficient, and reasonably priced. He did a fabulous job installing overhead lighting and fixing some faulty wiring. I cannot recommend him enough. I will absolutely be hiring him again for any future electrical work.

On the eve of the big snow storm, we had a circuit breaker trip that could not be reset. Abdel, knowing the snow was coming came out on the same day, actually in an hour after our phone consult and not only found the short, replaced the breaker, and sorted out our electrical box, but also fixed four outlets two of which were in the kitchen that were not part of the original project! He was professional, kind, and caring and was deliberate in explaining what was going on and why he was doing what he was doing. I cannot recommend him enough. When you find a trustworthy electrician you keep them. Thank you for taking care of us before the storm.

They did a really great job installing new light fixtures in my living room. They were competitively priced, very communicative, quick, and super easy to work with. Also very respectful and helpful - went out of their way to clean up and take care of the old fixture as well. Would highly recommend!

If you want electrical work done right the first time - look no further! I had a significant job - 2 new ceiling fan installs, 7 light fixture swap outs, rewiring, and 3 new electrical outlets behind TVs on the wall (so you don't see the cords). Abdel completed all the work with an eye for quality, made sure things were done correctly (previous homeowner did not do stuff right), and made sage safety recommendations for our home. Abdel was also very personable, cleaned up after himself, respected our home/space, and was great with our pets which was very important to us. You want a good person in your home working on critical systems and Abdel fits that to a T! This was a solid hire - super pleased!

Abdel is hands down the best electrician we’ve ever worked with! His knowledge and ability to problem solve complex issues are incredible. Not only does he get the job done quickly and efficiently, but he also takes the time to explain everything in a way that’s easy to understand. Abdel is the kind of professional you feel completely comfortable having in your home, even around your family—trustworthy, friendly, and respectful. On top of that, his pricing is more than fair for the level of skill and expertise he brings. If you need a reliable electrician who truly knows his craft, Abdel is your guy. Highly recommend!

Abdel and his Bola Electric were an answer to prayer! The exhaust fan in my daughter's master bath went out and she called AG Electrical Services to fix the issue. The guy charged my daughter an arm and a leg to just come out and diagnose the issue which was what we suspected - the motor had failed. He also quoted a very high price to replace the same brand motor from the 70s and left the floor dirty with dust. Frustrated, my daughter decided to cancel the service of AG Electrical, called several other companies and told them of the issue. Abdel was the only one who understood the problem thoroughly, was empathetic to my daughter and promised to come out within a few hours. He did as he said, gave a reasonable quote, got the best brand unit in the market, a Panasonic and completely replaced the old unit. All this he did the same day, keeping the bathroom floor and countertop very clean leaving us extremely satisfied with his work. We recommend Abdel to anyone who is looking for an excellent electrician, who is reasonable with his prices and does a fantastic job. He was truly an answer to our prayer. May God bless his business!

I can’t say enough good things about Abdel! He came by to fix a few electrical issues in my house, and not only did he resolve everything efficiently, but he also took the time to explain each issue in detail, which I really appreciated. Abdel’s knowledge and professionalism was outstanding, and he made sure I understood what needed to be done and why. The work was completed quickly, cleanly, and to a high standard. I feel much safer and more informed about my home’s electrical system thanks to him. Highly recommend to anyone in need of an electrician!

Wow! Abdel Laasri of Bola Electric far exceeded our expectations! We asked him to install new light fixtures to our 50-year old townhouse that we are preparing to sell this summer. Abdel took the initiative to point out items we had completely overlooked, such as the need to install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on every floor and the need for GFCI protectors for electrical outlets near water sources. He completed all that work and more, all in one day, and at a surprisingly reasonable price. Abdel is extremeley dependable, courteous, and professional. We HIGHLY recommend him!
