Excellent service and quick response time. The G&V tree crew removed 2 damaged mature maple trees, to include stump removal and sweeping up the debris. They also did an excellent job trimming 3 other trees. We could not have asked for better results…. thanks for a job well done!

Excellent, highly skilled tree removal team at a reasonable price. When a forty-foot tree got uprooted by high wind, it fell against a neighbor's oak and was threating to fall on his roof. Distance from the street and hilly terrain ruled out use of a crane. The G & V team came right out, quickly formulated an intricate rope support scheme, and promptly sent a detailed quotation. A small but highly skilled crew arrived at 7:00 the next morning, safely removed the tree and completed a thorough cleanup of my and neighboring properties before noon the same day. They exceeded all expectations.

These guys restored our life from disaster in one day. I called Mario at 6:30 pm, 30 minutes after the wind storm. . By 4:00 pm the next day the two trees that fell on my garage and both cars were cut up and gone. All that was left were the two dirt mounds where the stumps had been ground and removed.
I have used G&V numerous times for tree work over the past 5 years and would use no others. Thanks G&V!

I got several quotes for the tree work I needed done, and G&V provided a good "middle option." They were not the cheapest price (which was so low, I was worried about the quality of the work), nor were they the most expensive. Unlike the most expensive option, they actually allow for credit card payment with no additional fee, which is a plus. I do believe that if I'd gone with the most expensive option, more care would have been given to each individual tree, to ensure the cuts made were not just in the best interest of the structures on the property (ie removing low branches over the house and shed), but also in the best interest of the trees themselves. As the old adage goes... you get what you pay for. As far as I could tell, no arborist was actually on site on the day of the tree removal and pruning...one man who seemed to be a supervisor did show up eventually, but not until late in the job, and he made no changes/additions to the work that was being done. I did also have to modify my initial quote because G&V suggested I could simply prune a tree that *both* of the other companies I received quotes from said would be best off being cut down, and some potential work that other tree companies had agreed to (grinding an existing stump, existing debris removal) was not included in the initial quote. The process of getting everything I wanted onto the quote took more back and forth than I would've liked. The job itself was performed quite quickly, faster than I would've expected, but their speed negatively affected the quality of the work. On the day of the job I had to point out/remind the workers of a sapling that they missed, and ask them to trim more branches of a tree that were too close to a power line and which sounded very dead when the worker cut them down with the clipper on the pole. I don't think I would've had these issues with the company with the more expensive quote, since that company saw *all* of the work that needed to be done included it in their quote from the beginning, and the person from that company who came to do the quote specifically mentioned making sure to make cuts with the overall health of the trees in mind, and keeping the trees balanced as opposed to only cutting the branches that are over the roof.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the value of the work, especially since I didn't need to pay by check/debit to avoid a fee. I do know, however, that better is out there (for a price) so I "like" the work G&V did but I don't "love" it.

Edit: Taking an even closer look at my trees I spotted this branch (circled in yellow in the photograph) which is quite clearly dead but was not removed.

While I am disappointed by the overlooked details on the day of the job, overall, I would still recommend using G&V for whole tree removals or removing downed trees/branches/debris because of their budget-friendly cost and the ability to pay online.

I am completely thrilled and impressed we are with the work G&V did at our house today.  They were punctual, polite, and INCREDIBLY efficient.  I was fascinated watching them work, and peaked out every chance I got.  Every single time, every single one of them was working.  If they weren't actively cutting or hauling brush, they were coiling lines, or prepping the next tie off area.  It was like a ballet of hard work, sweat, and above all expertise.

Last night I was wondering if the crew would be done before or after my husband got home from work.  I am in shock they were done by lunch!  My neighbor was so impressed with their speed and effectiveness, she asked for their number, and I happily passed it along.

The crew was fast, friendly, and so precise dropping logs in between trees and plants we didn't want damaged I am still trying to wrap my mind around it!

I will definitely continue to recommend G & V and won't call anyone else if/when we need more work done.

G&V Tree Service took a tree down for me and later came back to grind to stump. The workers damaged my neighbor's stone post. The workers were still in the neighborhood, we contacted the Foreman less than 5 minutes after they left. My neighbor saw the whole thing but it was our words against the workers. The damage was huge, only a heavy machine or a vehicle could leave such damage. Could not be a vehicle because the mail boxes are in front of the post and a vehicle would first hit the mailboxes to get to the post. The damage was on the side of the post next to the stump. G&V resisted any logical explanation and said "your neighbor should've taken a video". We showed photos of the fresh mortar mixed in with the stump chips. The neighbor sent me the estimate for the damage, I reached out to G&V and send them the estimate and requested help with the cost, I got a message from G & V to ask if the work was completed and I told them Yes. Never heard back from them, I reached out for a status and no response. Then, today got another past due notice. G&V is not even willing to negotiate with me to help with the cost of the damage or consider some relief from the cost of work. I am stuck with paying them and repairs to my neighbor's post. I take no pleasure in writing this review, as all the reviews here for G & V are fantastic. I will never use G & V again or recommend them to anyone.

G & V Tree Service did an amazing job. They came in and gave me an honest quote and the next day they came in and did the work. The trees were trimmed professionally and Care was taken not to damage my lawn. The workers were professional and very safe. I have no problems with recommending and I will be using them again. They are a great team!

The staff at G&V, Gary (arborist), Edwin and Lilia were very professional and courteous as well as the crew. Lilia was very helpful when I called to ask a few questions. Fortunately, a crew was available. She sent them out and they arrived in 20 min. I watched the young man (not sure of his name) who was the tree cutter, do a great job and he had the tree down in minutes. The other guys diligently carried tree parts to the truck for shredding.
Would I recommend G&V to other people? Absolutely!! I was very pleased with the service provided.
I have already passed the name of the company and phone# on to a friend.

We were so happy with G&V Tree service from the initial visit with free estimate until they completed the job. Very professional service and such reasonable prices. The amazing part, besides all the above, is they took down two huge pine trees, trimmed a Magnolia tree and two other trees in our yard, plus stump grinding all in 3 1/2 hours. The entire crew were amazing and very professional. If you are in need of tree services this is the company to call!

G&V tree service is a first rate company. Their pricing is, by far, the best of any tree service company I have found. The work that the crews have performed for me has always been to my satisfaction. The advice I have received from site appraiser Jaime has proved useful. They are efficient and attentive to cleanup after the trimming work is completed. I would highly recommend G&V.

We had G&V take down 4 trees in our back yard, one of which was very large and threatened our neighbor’s home. Our experience with G&V was fantastic from the first phone call through the clean up after the job. They are true professionals and not only did the work extremely well, but the cost was fair and reasonable. They scheduled us promptly, worked amazingly well as a team and got the job done quickly. We moved into a home with a yard that had not been touched in probably 20 years. It was so overgrown and covered in weeds and poison ivy. G & V cleaned it up for us and a year later I'm still hearing from neighbors about how much better the yard looks.
They also removed a lightning struck tree from the yard this summer. They were upfront that the removal would damage the ground and included ground repair as part of their estimate.
These guys are friendly and professional. No complaints.

I cannot say enough about this company. They were excellent, on time and very professional. They arrived on time, finished within a 2-hours. I had a tree removed in the middle of my backyard, in which I never saw a tree being removed so fast, as well as some orher teees cut down and shrubbery cleared out. These guys moved so quickly and fast. Excellent job with removing all of the vines, trees everything, cleaned up and was out. I would HIGHLY recommend them.

G&V Landscaping did a fantastic job with our complete landscaping makeover. When we moved into our house, the backyard was caked in vegetation, old trees, a broken retaining wall, and a half functioning patio. Mario walked us through the options we had available and why it needed to be done. We were hesitant at first because of pricing, and we only did the bare minimum. However, we soon learned that Mario’s recommendations were all crucial steps toward a functioning backyard with proper drainage and adequate grading for proper egress/use. We eventually went through the motions of turning our backyard marsh into the ideal lawn. At the end of it all, G&V took down problematic trees, dug French drains that connects to our gutters, installed sod & mulch, built a patio, and placed gravel around the edges our deck. Mario and his company kept us informed every step of the way; they even stopped by after the work was done to ensure that all completed work checked all the boxes. We were very pleased with the high quality work and professionalism from G&V.

I needed to remove a large Pear Tree from my yard and wanted to replace it with a much cleaner tree. I don't know the first thing about trees and didn't know if pruning the one I had was more cost effective over time than simply replacing it. Edwin Galo was my G&V consultant and helped me each step of they way. He provided great advice, never tried to sell me on anything, was patient, answered all my questions, kept me updated on the progress of scheduling, and even helped me find a tree that met my needs.

I was very pleased with the service and professionalism of G&V Tree Service. My project involved clearing out 15-year old shrubs and bushes from both flowerbeds in the front yard. Mario did the initial estimate & he remained in constant communication throughout the end of the project. The employees who completed the work were on time and friendly. They also explained the job and provided care instructions for the new shrubs and flowering bushes. Excellent workmanship. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone seeking quality landscaping or tree removal services.

Once I accepted the proposal, Edwin contacted me and scheduled the job in a timely manner. They removed the tree quickly and without any issues!
