Really great grow shop. Very knowledgeable and a huge variety of good products. I needed a replacement item in a rush and they not only had it, but a bunch of other items I forgot I needed at a great price. Good folks id highly recommend them and will be going to them for my needs from now on.

This business is 5 star for service and quality. We have potted tropical fruits here in NoVa and only use FoxFarm soils. We believe in Local Motion. Live local and support local. Called up Mike and he gave us a nice discount on a bunch of FoxFarm soil which no other big name store in NoVa would offer. Got to the store and met Brandon, good knowledgeable rep. He knew his stuff about the products in the store for all your growing needs. It looks like the tech did a good job but I wasn’t happy about the date that the company chose (not me). The service was done on a day with no rain in sight and my lawn is too big to water with a sprinkler

I was a client for 13 years. My CC was on file for each service. Suddenly I got notices that I was delinquent for two "installment charges" and they were sending me to collections if I did not pay. I called the office. I emailed the office. I had a few simple questions:

When did I agree to these installment charges? Can't answer

Why did you charge me for every service before and after, but not these? Can't answer

What is the "installment charge"? Can't tell you

Can you send me a copy of the services agreement? No

I get weekly harassing emails for delinquency. Calls to accounting and accounting managers both locally and nationally are fruitless.

Their service has dropped dramatically since they took ownership from National Turf, and their billing practices are suspect and seemingly predatory. I cannot recommend this company.

Unfortunately, for the past two years, this company has ruined our lawn due to human error. Last year it was because they applied the wrong weed control (rated for a lower temp) and this year it was because they applied the weed control too abrasively, creating brown patches of our otherwise healthy lawn (front and back). That's not the worst part. Their customer service attitude is nonexistent. They do not apologize for their actions and barely offer any valuable compensation for the inconvenience their mistakes add to our already busy lives. Add on top of that the gas lighting attitudes of the supervisors who make it seem like it's not a big deal. It is when you are spending money to expect a professional to do a better job. When they don't, they need to take responsibility for it, apologize profusely and provide a reasonable solution. Instead they say things like "it's not ruined and it will grow back," "people make mistakes"..... We didn't need to pay a professional lawn service to make mistakes. We could have done that ourselves. We will now be cancelling our contract.

Brian did a good job. Because of the snow still covering my yard, he could put down the lyme in the places where there were still existing mounds of snow, but he left me a little extra product to do myself once the snow has melted.

Personality is always first for me and Ronald's personality was AWESOME. Although, he was here to get a soil sample whike raining, I went out to his truck and when he got out of his vehicle to meet me, his personality and smile said it all. As we talked briefly, I could tell he is an awesome person. If I were in your line if business, I would definitely steal him from you.He seems to beca really good person ascwell as worker. Thankbyou for sending him to service my property.

I was looking for some rose flower seeds but they didn't have any but overall it's a good store and I really enjoyed getting my home needs from this store.

Nighttime is best time to go here- its less crowded and you can get help easier. Typical HD layout with gardening center on Left side, Lumber on Right. Assistant managers are very approachable though busy.

I took a friend to help her buy potting soil. Because we both are in our 70's, we wanted to buy only small bags (8 quarts) as larger bags would be too difficult to carry. We went to the garden center but only saw 25/50 quart bags. I knew they had other sizes based on their store website so I asked the worker where the other bags were. She stated that's the only bags the store had. She made no attempt to check with anyone else or to check her handheld computer. (My friend and I do not have smartphones.) Not finding anyone else to ask in the garden center, we walked towards the customer service center for assistance when by chance my friend happened to see the display of the 8 quart bags. I was glad she found them when she did as my friend has back problems and can only walk a limited distance in the store. When I told the store manager about the misinformation we received and the difficulty we had finding the smaller bags, he said his workers aren't expected to know where all the 100,000 items are located in the store. Although I agree with that, I do expect the garden center worker to know where the potting soil is since it's such a basic staple in gardens. There should have also been a sign near the 25/50 quart bags stating that smaller bags were located elsewhere in the store (also giving the aisle number). Home Depot needs to provide better service to their senior citizen customers.

A decent selection, but they don’t take care of their stock. The plants are wilted and unhealthy.
