Mauricio was able to come out the same day and take care of removing my Tesla charger from the house. This is the second time Cedar Electical services has come to my house to do work. I will use them again as they are very professional and well priced.

William and Cedar were fantastic. William installed a 20 amp breaker and outlet in my garage for an appliance. William provided spot on recommendations that fit the job and my budget. Similar companies quoted between 2x to 6x more.

I had two 20amp circuits installed. Four 6” wafer lights installed in the kitchen and a weather proof outlet installed outside.
Mauricio, Charlie, and William were great at doing the work. Very polite and professional guys.

Cedar Electrical Services was awarded a contract to install an electric vehicle (EV) charger at my residence.

Sam Zettersten, accompanied with the Loudoun County Inspector, reviewed the electrical work. The County inspector identified and verbally communicated that the 60A electric car charger breaker would require a breaker lock to pass inspection. Sam Zettersten said he was not aware of this rule, but he had one in the car and would retrieve it and install it. The county inspector proceeded to give Cedar Electric a signed electrical inspection permit with the agreement that Cedar Electric will install the breaker lock.

Mr. Zettersten proceeded to go back to his work vehicle to find that he did not have an extra breaker lock available. Instead of procuring the required missing piece, Mr. Zettersten re-entered the home to unethically remove an existing breaker lock from one on the other circuits and move it to the new 60A circuit breaker. Mr. Zettersten identified that the issue was resolved and proceeded to exit the home, as the job was complete. At that point, I inspected the work that was done and noticed that Sam had not only lied but put the home, the inspection, and the reputation of Cedar Electric in danger. I approached Mr. Zettersten and told him what had occurred and that he needed to fix it. At first he seemed confused, but then he looked back at pictures he took and confirmed that the existing breaker lock was missing and maybe it fell. After numerous back-and-forth arguments that the lock had been moved and did not fall, Mr. Zettersten continued to make up stories and excuses that it was inadvertent and he didn’t realize what he was doing. After again reiterating that he needed to remedy the work to meet the electrical code, he again said he had one in the car. After a few minutes of searching, Mr. Zettersten returned to say he needed to go to the store to buy one. After 30 minutes, Mr. Zettersten returned with a new breaker lock and installed the lock to my satisfaction. After repeated requests to take accountability, Mr. Zettersten left stating again that he was not sure how it got moved and must have been inadvertent. He refused to take responsibility and accountability for his deceptive actions that put the entire home and its residents at risk.

I am gravely disappointed in the unethical behavior on display here, and it was only for a keen eye and some pictures taken before and after, that I was able to identify this disgraceful turn of events. I write to you today to file a complaint with the Virginia State Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. Images of the alteration are attached below.

William & Charlie repaired 2 old light switches for us today. Polite, experienced, skilled, efficient & reasonable cost. Highly recommend.

Mauricio and Charlie provided a very smooth and professional install of our new chandelier. They were communicative and accommodating as we made a final decision on how high we wanted the fixture to be, as they helped us view the chandelier from a few different heights. When the job was done, they cleaned up thoroughly and left our entryway in great shape.

Called them to install a 240V outlet behind my stove. They did the job quickly, made sure that my new stove will work with the new outlet, neatly taped up the cut out drywall for future repair! Impressed with the speed and quality of work. Thank you Charlie & team!

I had tried to get in-home estimates for an electrical panel installation in my home. I sent an email to their contact address, and got a friendly response. There was some miscommunication about the date and time, but that was ironed out. We settled on a Monday appointment, between 8 and 10 AM. I received no follow-up communication whatsoever from Cedar, and no one showed up at the expected time. I left two voicemail messages between the hours of 8 and 10 AM, and .... nothing. An utter lack of communication by a service provider seems, to me, to speak volumes of how their service process lacks professionalism and accuracy. I never heard from them again, even to let me know WHY they didn't show up. Very disappointed.

Scheduling the work was easy. Lucas arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and explained it thoroughly to me. He gave me a price before beginning, then completed the work promptly. Very grateful for the professional job!

We have used Cedar electrical for numerous projects from wiring of a new house addition, smoke alarm and bath room fan replacement, addition of lighting and outlets,etc. With out exception they have been excellent. I believe the quality to be top notch. The technicians are allways fiendly, considerate of the property and take the time to explain the work and answer all questions. Mauricio and Charlie replaced 2 bathroom fans and a attic fan for us today. We couldn't be happier with their work. We highly recommend Cedar electrical !

Both Lucas and Sam were excellent and professiona. Sam took an hour and a half to find and fix an electrical short that 2 other technicians failed to. I highly recommend this small business outfit. They will be my go to from now on.

Maricio and Graham did an excellent job, even with the cleanup. Like they weren’t here except everything works now. Outstanding! Two attic fans , thermostats, and switch.

I have had Cedar Electrical Services do several jobs for me over the last six months, and I have been very pleased with the level of professionalism, and the quality of the work. This last job was running a 240vac 30 amp service to the garage, and replacing an obsolete outlet

Frustrated with a one unit washer/dryer combo appliance (no vent) that I inherited after purchasing my condo almost 3 years ago which kept breaking down and ruining several shirts (these things suck. Do NOT buy one), From Best Buy I purchased a traditional new washer/dryer stacked combo (with vent). The Best Buy installation team could not install my new appliance due to an antiquated older electrical outlet which was not compatible with the new cable / plug. An upgraded high voltage capability 4 prong cable plug was needed. So the Best Buy installation team hauled away my horrible old washer. They left my new appliance uninstalled in my living room and moved on to their next delivery. Dismayed and in dire need of a skilled electrician, I called Cedar Electrical and Sam picked up after 4 rings and listened to my tale of woe. He arrived to my condo the next morning, surveyed my layout, and wrote up an estimate which was very reasonable. The next day Joseph arrived promptly within the scheduled time frame. Within less than 2 hours Joseph recalibrated the wiring to my electrical panel and installed a 6’ cable with the 4 pronged plug. His manner was friendly, personable and professional as he skillfully and flawlessly completed the project. Despite a few minutes of a loud drill (which he prepared us for before he started it) my dog Max napped for the entire time. Before leaving, Joseph vacuumed all dust and debris leaving the work area spotless. The next day, the Best Buy “Geek Squad” re-arrived and was able to easily install my washer and dryer without having to deal with the electrical issues thanks to Cedar Electric. Today I just completed 2 loads of laundry and everything works like a charm. I highly recommend Cedar Electrical.
