We have had maid service for over 20yrs and recently switched to Colonial Cleaning Company. Colonial Cleaning Company has been our service for over a year now. Family in our home have immune system disorders that are exacerbated by dust-carrying allergens. So our cleaning standards are VERY high. Before contracting Colonial Cleaning Company we interviewed four local companies and two independents. Maxine, the Colonial Cleaning Company owner, did the initial intake interview at our home. Maxine was very professional and incredibly accommodating. Plus, she’s a generally nice individual. She not only responded positively to our needs but also went out of her way to help select specific staff who she thought would take the quality of their work seriously and who had an ‘eye for detail’ that we expressed was important to us. Our expectations for the quality of service after speaking with Maxine were very high.

Impressively, those expectations were not only met but in some instances exceeded in the time we have had Colonial Cleaning Company service. I spoke extensively with Maxine about staff selection and Maxine suggested that Sandy be the lead cleaner in our home. Sandy’s performance so far has been nothing less than exceptional. When Sandy started I had made detailed cleaning lists and carefully and emphatically reviewed our needs and expectations (and why we had them). Sandy was not only sympathetic to our situation but also highly responsive. She takes the time that is needed to “do the job well”, not just get the job done. Sandy has also taken the time to communicate with us, advising what she has done, in many instances advising us that she cleaned typically forgotten items (e.g., patio sliding door rail) that we didn’t even ask her to clean. She takes it upon herself to target items that are in need, always with an eye for detail and high self-imposed quality control. Sandy has high personal standards, self-monitors her own work, and has exceeded our high white-glove-test standards. Overall, she is excellent. We began the service because of Maxine. We have KEPT the service because of Sandy.

Office management by Sarah has also been strong. Though we have not had any conflict that needed to be addressed, on the occasions when there was a schedule-related conflict, these have been resolved professionally and promptly. In addition, during the rise of COVID, Sarah took time to discuss with me the many revisions of practice that staff would now undergo in order to protect client homes, such as ours where our level of concern might be higher than most. Here too, Sarah, not only eased our concern but effectively communicated the many well thought out changes in practice that Colonial Cleaning Company had implemented in order to protect client homes.

We recently moved to Virginia and didn't know the house we bought had so many problems.. we've been living with dust, tools and disruption for months. Colonial Cleaning Company performed a standard cleaning and gave us the house we fell in love with on Zillow :) They responded quickly, showed up on time, completed the work efficiently without disruption. The quality of work is top notch. With all the positive reviews, I wasn't sure we would get on their schedule so quickly - but they responded within a day to provide a quote and we started service the next week!

Repeat customer and very glad to be back. One of the very best things I appreciate is the constant communication. The reminders and clean day updates when the cleaners are on the way is extremely helpful. The ladies that clean are super sweet and always make sure my concerns are addressed. Even when I was unsure about a cleaning process, I called and asked what their process was and learned that all I had to do was tell them my preference and it would be noted on my account. Maxine and her team are a true example of great customer service.

We hired Colonial for weekly housekeeping service 3 weeks ago. The first clean was thorough. The second clean was less thorough. Bathroom mats were not shaken out and were left folded on the edge of the tub, tubs were not cleaned and hair was left in the drain, and sheets were not changed on all the beds even though clean sheets were left. We called and they came out the next day and changed the sheets on one bed, but not the other one, and left the tub dirty again. Today was supposed to be their third week. No one showed up today at all. We were also told we would have the same person each week, but we had two different people for weeks 1 & 2, and no one came at all today.

Needless to say, we will not continue to pay $125 a week for such bad service. I know it’s hard to find good employees these days, but management should be following up and making sure jobs are getting done. I have 2 stars because management was nice and very responsive to us. Unfortunately I can’t recommend them.

Man…. To many good things to say! Great price, even better service. If you are not using this company you are in the wrong!! By far the greatest company around. I was out of town on official travel, and I couldn’t bring my phone. Completely forgot to pay the invoice and was out of town for awhile, they waited till I got back and was completely understanding. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Will definitely use them again!!!!

What an outstanding experience we just had with COLONIAL cleaning. They clean the ducts Throughout my father‘s home In Kingsmill. They were so professional, Thorough, neat, And extremely competent. I've used Colonial Cleaning Company since 8/20/21 and have never been disappointed. They have a fabulous crew for whatever task you need. I've used them for house cleaning (weekly), carpet cleaning (3-4 times per year) and window cleaning (2ce per year). They have always done a fabulous job, are extremely professional, courteous and willing to do whatever you ask of them. Highly recommend them for whatever cleaning needs you have..

I cannot say enough good things about Maxine and her team at Colonial Cleaning. They have been a god send to me personally and my business as busy realtor. From my personal home to my many move in & out cleans for my clients they have always been there for me with professionalism, urgency, flexibility, and top notch service at amazing prices. They have bent over backwards for me in some of the craziest and / or emergency situations so that I could deliver my clients with the best experience possible. I am so grateful for this company!

We cannot be happier with Colonial Cleaning Company. I was in search of a cleaning company to provide a monthly cleaning service for my parent's house. After reaching out to a few companies, I settled on Colonial Cleaning Company for a few reasons. First, Colonial Cleaning Company provided a very fair and reasonable estimate. Jennifer met with us and after listening to our needs and performing a walk through of the house, she offered a very fair and reasonable estimate. Second, the cleaning professional who provided our first service (Kristina) was amazing. She accommodated my parent's needs and proved to be a very hard worker. She was incredibly efficient and thorough in her work, resulting in an immaculately clean house. After the first service, I immediately called the owner to let her know that we'd like to continue with Kristina for all of our future services. Since then, Kristina has cleaned my parent's house twice and each time, we were 100 percent satisfied with the service. Finally, Colonial Cleaning Company obviously cares about customer satisfaction. Jennifer has also followed up with us a few times to make sure that we're happy with the service.

I can't speak highly enough about the all around amazing service I have received since reaching out to Colonial Cleaning. Jennifer was very professional and honest when providing us with an estimate. She made sure to let us know what to expect and even checked up on us after our first cleaning was done. Our personal cleaners (Tina & Chris) work well together and were sure to make sure I was pleased with the work they were doing. I am very picky, to say the least, and I HIGHLY recommend the wonderful staff at Colonial Cleaning. You will be getting the best customer service for prices that you will love!

I called to get a quote and the woman who answered the phone was very rude! Completely turned me off to even the thought of using their services! If this is how they handle a phone call for a potential customer I couldn't imagine how you handle customers. Good Luck!

I had reached out for a deep clean and carpet cleaning in the fall of 2022. The two 20 something boys that came to clean my carpet did a horrific job. My carpet was let way too wet which caused a mildew smell and they pulled my carpet causing damage. I had wanted a deep clean after the death of my cat and carpet cleaning on the same day. The schedulers messed up completely as some of my deep clean items weren’t done because they had the carpet cleaners come out first. I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. The only thing the cleaners did a great job on was cleaning my oven.

There was a hiccup/issue with the cleaning of our carpets. The owner and her son were kind and respectful and took care of the issue. I am giving 5 stars for their attitudes and willingness to listen while we worked together to come to a fair and satisfactory resolve.

I recently acquired the services of Colonial Cleaning Company to clean my bedroom carpet, stairs, a living room rug, and to clean the upholstery of a love seat. I was very pleased with the results in all areas. Two young men arrived on time to begin work and were careful to keep my home clean by covering their feet. They were professional, courteous, friendly and did not get annoyed by my over zealous dog! Further, they were efficient, but did not hurry through the job. I'm glad I chose this locally owned, family-oriented business that is truly grounded in its community and wants to deliver the best possible service to its clients.

Maxine and her team are amazing! I've used them for several move in and move out cleanings, carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning and furniture cleaning. All services surpassed my expectations! Great at communication too which is important when you can't be in two places at once. Highly recommend and won't use anyone else. Thank you Maxine and your fabulous crew!!

I had them come out and clean my dryer vent at my salon, they were very polite and professional. Quick, clean, and we didn’t even know they were there. They also got me in quick which was much appreciated! 100% recommend! Also the price you simply can’t beat!

I contacted colonial cleaning on a Thursday afternoon asking if they could clean on Sunday. Maxine made it happen! I had the move out cleaning done and the carpet cleaned. Thank you for being super responsive and making it all happen with such short notice.

Colonial Cleaning company is hands down the best, AND most affordable option in the area for residential cleaning. I have been using them weekly at my house for more than a year now, and it has been a phenominal experience. I have had many 1 on 1 conversations with Maxine, the owner. She trully takes in interest in the things that matter to me in my home. We usually have the same person that cleans it every time, and the place is spotless when they leave. They even clean things that I wouldn't even thing to clean! Like the cabinets, or walls. What they offer is trully unique, and I would trust them with any of my friends or family. No lie - you won't find a better place in this area.

This was my first time using a house cleaning service, and I was a little unsure about having someone other than myself clean our home. I was put at ease the minute that Jennifer arrived to give us an estimate. She was so kind, not at all judgemental, and really paid attention to what was important to us. Maxine quickly worked us into the schedule, and Becca arrived right on time to clean. She was so incredibly sweet, polite, and exceptionally thorough. She worked hard, and wore a big smile on her face the entire time she was here. By the time she was done, our house was spotless, and smelled so fresh and clean! We were overjoyed with the service we received, from start to finish, and will definitely be using Colonial Cleaning Company again. Colonial Cleaning offers excellent service. They do a great job cleaning and they are so fair and accommodating. Maxine once even suggested I go elsewhere for my window cleaning needs, saying another company was cheaper and had better tools for my circumstances. I would trust her totally!
