I have called in to get an estimate. I was simply told that I will be getting a call back with an estimate. I know dam well it doesn’t take 3 hours just to get an estimate. Later, the same day I call this woman back to see what was going on. During the call I couldn’t understand what she was saying, there was a lot of noise in the background. Why make the customer wait just so they can call back to be told they won’t be able to get the job done till Monday next week. I asked her why didn’t you tell me that when I called in earlier she proceed on saying... “ it’s the weekend ma’am you can find someone else “.

In my head I wanted to pull up on their location to have a talk with her face to face or whoever is in charge. It’s not about find someone else it’s about telling the customer information right upfront not wait for the customer to call back. She need to learn how to lower her tone of voice , her attitude and most importantly giving the clients upfront information.
I called in other places I was able to get my yard done and everything I needed the very same day.

I’m happy the first people I had hired canceled on me, because then I found Henry’s. I’ve been somewhat of a needy customer, but Vicki, Henry, and their team have been pleasant, responsive, helpful, professional, and came the next day after my initial call. It’s the little things that make people’s day. Thank you Henry’s! Know your work is appreciated.

I utilized Henry's Lawn and Landscaping the other day for the first time. OUTSTANDING! I wish I had taken before and after pictures. We still had a lot of leaves leftover from the fall and our yard was looking pretty rough. Henry came in and re-edged our flower beds, cleaned up the leaves, cleaned our gutters, and put down new mulch. Our yard is beautiful now. Also, I prefer to mulch the leaves and let them break down in our tree filled lot....which he accommodated. It is great for the soil and prevents the use of plastic bags. Anyhow, I could not be happier and will definitely use Henry for any future yardwork.

We have used Henry's Lawn and Landscaping several times in the past two years. He and his crew have done fall clean up, lawn aerating and seeding, fertilizing, mulching, sod, shrub care, spring lawn prep, power washing, and more. We've always been very happy and our yard is in the best shape it's been, with many compliments from our neighbors. His wife Vicky is always a pleasure to communicate with in getting the services scheduled, too. Definitely give Henry's a try!

I had French drains installed to keep water away from my house. The result was fantastic and I will be using them again for future work. Fair price and great work!

UPDATE #2 (May, 2026): I am changing the review and knocking the rating down 2 stars, one for some poor workmanship and materials that were used on the deck which have become evident since my original review in August, 2025 and the other for the lack of responsiveness when I raised the issue to Concepcion.

My biggest concern is that it has become evident that the crew ran out of the proper galvanized deck nails that the Prince William County inspector told them to use, and even made them redo a section they had started with non-compliant nails for the job, and rather than getting more decking nails they finished the job with standard steel (non-galvanized) nails which has resulted in an area of the deck where the wood is now discoloring and beginning to potentially rot around each deck nail due to the oxidization/rusting of the nails in the short 8 months since the deck was installed. I first noticed it after the Blizzard in January, and when I texted Concepcion about the issue I could see that he read my text message about 25 minutes after I sent it but he never responded.

I had been waiting until the Spring to have the deck stained/sealed (as recommended by Concepcion to allow the pressure treated lumber time to cure), and I told him I didn't want to pay all that money to stain and seal the wood on my $15,000 deck that was already deteriorating due to the non-compliant nails that the crew used, so I wanted to ask what could be done to remedy the situation.

I will update this review again if he now responds, as he seemed very concerned about the google reviews and maintaining the rating. I'm disappointed at this point and would not use them again if this situation is not resolved to my satisfaction. If you do decide to use them, I will reiterate that you should definitely go through the trouble of doing the proper PWC permits, as even with that assurance they still cut a corner that has now tainted the entire project for me.

UPDATE #1 (September 2025): As I mentioned I would use them again on another project, that came sooner than expected and I ended up having Concepcion build a new paver walkway around the side of my house to connect the driveway to the new deck area. Once again I was impressed with his crew and their craftsmanship, as the walkway turned out beautifully. I wanted to leave this as a separate review but apparently Google only allows one review, so I will just reiterate my previous 5 star rating for Concepcion and his team. And once again, now after two completed projects, I would certainly use them again.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I tried to post a (much longer) more comprehensive review but Google failed on me while posting, so here's the TLDR since I'm not retyping it all. They built a deck for me, Concepcion recommended going through the PWC permit process and I am glad he did since it resulted in a better end product and it was nice having a neutral 3rd party assure everything was done correctly. Concepcion is communicative and willing to work through any issues with you. His crew was great and in the end I am satisfied with the new deck. I would use Concepcion and his crew again for future projects.
