So few contractors these days are a positive experience and Shellscapes was exceptionally positive experience. From scoping the quote to our budget, very talented hard working teams doing the work, both Mark and Michael who were our contacts were great to work with and responsive. Our lot looks fantastic now and didn’t before. Much appreciation and will call them again when we have a landscape project in the future.

Highly recommend ShellScapes for their super professional approach and execution based on our experience adding drainage to and upgrading a driveway on our property! Mark is a great communicator and built trust every step of the way. Our project was fairly basic and team treated the project with a high quality bar, on time, on spec. Would definitely use them again!

We worked with Mark and Shellscapes to install a patio, steps/walkway, fire pit, and replacing grass with oyster shells. That was the extent of our request (we are not very creative) and Mark and his team did the rest, from planning to installation. We were very impressed with the result--the project was far better than we could have envisioned.
From the start and throughout the project, Mark was responsive. We appreciated the in person follow-up two weeks after the install to check on the posts and to provide any additional clean up. The work was completed while we were out of town, but Mark sent us photos of the progress as well as providing a FaceTime walk through of the project.
The end result is beautiful and we look forward to nicer weather to enjoy it properly!

Mark Soboil and his team at Shellscapes are amazing! From the first consultation to the final touches we were very impressed with his knowledge, creative ideas and professionalism. His entire crew was great. They showed up when expected, worked really hard all day, and cleaned up at the end of each workday. Everyone involved was really friendly and nice.

We had Shellscapes install a large oyster shell driveway, a pathway alongside the house as well as add planting beds. The transformation was amazing. They are returning this week to plant and also install a flagstone and oyster shell patio. I will add more pictures when that part is complete!

Over the years I’ve been working on my yard which has involved lots of digging and piling up dirt. We decided to use the dirt as a base for a small 30x13 bocce court. We added gravel and decomposed granite to the base layer. Deciding on crushed oyster shells for the surface was our ideal choice and Shellscapes made that possible. Mark & Co were able to accommodate our major quirk - the court doesn’t have hard borders. We wanted it to blend into the landscape, so laying a level topcoat would be a challenge. Shellscapes met that demand and gave us a perfectly smooth, level playing surface. Time to break out the Lemoncello and get the neighborhood tournaments rolling!

Mark, Eve, and the ShellScapes team are great! Very responsive, collaborative, and had great ideas for our project. We redid our driveway with them and a month in it looks fantastic. Mark also assured us that if anything comes loose or goes wrong, he'll guarantee the work and come fix it, which is rare these days. Would absolutely recommend ShellScapes and work with them again in the future.

I live in Poulsbo PNW and needed landscaping done for a new home. We had a blank slate to work with. I designed something that we would like and these guys took it to the next level. It came out better than I imagined. The quality of their work is almost more impressive! They don’t do things halfway and make sure that the work they put it will last a long time. They are extremely professional and crafted. I am recommending them without a doubt.

Sean has been an excellent caretaker of our yard over the past several years, allowing us to tinker with bits of it while he kept it healthy and vibrant. We really appreciated his flexible communication style, particularly as we tend to prefer email over phone calls for most things. We were able to share photos of areas of concern, and he provided information on ideas and products that we might want to use in our projects.

Our lot was about 7000sq ft, but it had a lot going on. Sean was able to provide our trees and shrubs with a lot of attention, while also working on the occasional larger project (such as flagstone and concrete pavers for an outdoor staircase and gravel walkway). And he was great at keeping the weeds at bay! Unfortunately for us, we moved out of state and had to leave him behind. I strongly recommend that you give Sean the chance to impress you.

Moving into a newly constructed house with nothing but bare ground and not wanting grass to mow was the challenge that we presented to Sean at Sound Landscapes. With the help of his recommended landscape designer and Sean’s input and hard work we now have an amazing low maintenance yard.
Sean listened to our wants/needs and then made it all happen. When specific varietals were not locally available, he worked with local wholesale distributors to come up with optional items and gave us his thoughts on which options would work best. He really cares about doing the job right and making sure we were happy with the results.

I recently had a construction project completed, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The team was professional, efficient, and the craftsmanship exceeded my expectations.
