Reviews of local pros in Black Diamond, Washington

We have had Cedar County Landscape complete two projects at our home, separated by 14 months. They have EXCEEDED expectations both times. The first was a rock retaining wall, new sod, and plants. The second was a landscape block retaining wall and extensive property drainage project. Pricing is fair, they really listen to what you want and come up with creative solutions to save cost or improve on what you ask for. We will definitely work with them again.

We had a wonderful experience with Cedar County Landscaping. Our project was quite large, grading, irrigating and hydroseeding approx 2 acres along with landscape lighting and opening up more of our property. We kept the project on time and on budget while mother nature and our rocky soil tried to set us back. Photos to come once the seed germinates!

This past summer we moved back into our newly rebuilt home after a catastrophic house fire. Of course the lot was completely trashed as well, and after 2 1/2 years of neglect, whomever we hired to landscape would definitely have their work cut out for them. it’s a tiny lot, as you can see, but it had definitely been overtaken by weeds and there was still some construction debris as well.

We had a couple of different companies come out and provide quotes but were most impressed with Cedar County, especially when they suggested artificial turf for the tiny spot for our dog in the backyard (seriously, we can’t even call it a postage stamp, it’s that small). The crew showed up exactly when they said they would and worked through some nasty weather, and over the course of about a week and a half, has our lawn looking the best on the street. I decided to hire them for weekly maintenance as well, and I love that not only do they do mowing, they take care of blowing leaves as well. I just know they’ll keep our yard looking just as nice as it is right now!

(Sorry about the leaves in the photos, I took them before hiring them to come in for weekly service!)

We were looking for a natural entry at the end of our driveway with pinnacle rocks that had our house numbers etched in the stone.
We had an idea of what we wanted, Cedar County exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The and result is beautiful. Fernando and Jose were great to work with and very professional. Thank you, Miguel and Caryn Avila

Happy to share my experience with Cedar County Landscaping. The project was completed the last October but I am posting now after they completed the maintenance work a couple of weeks ago.
They were not the cheapest offer but I decided to work with them after I had a meeting with them in person. The team completed the project exactly what they proposed. And the proposed schedule was much shorter than other's offer.
After the historical heavy rain last winter, the minor issue happen on concrete. Jon promised to fix it as soon as the weather allowed. And everything was done two weeks ago.
I will definitely work with them for my future projects. Thanks again for your great work.

Recently moved to Black Diamond WA and our new home needed some updated landscaping. Found Cedar Country Landscaping and since they were right down the street from us, we decided to hire them. Everything from start to finish was great! Initially met with Payton who showed us options/examples and pricing. After job was scheduled Neder and Luis came out and did a fantastic job, they were very thorough, and communication was great throughout the workday. My wife and I were very pleased with the end results, so we highly recommend Cedar County for any landscaping, yard/exterior home improvements! Prices were very reasonable, would hire them again for any related jobs! Thanks CCL

From estimate to scheduling to completion, Cedar County Landscaping was amazing! Super friendly and professional. The project turned out beautifully and even better than we had imagined. The crew even made a special day for my 3-year-old grandson who loved all the machinery. Thank you!

Cedar County Landscape did an excellent job of installing artificial grass. I was very happy with the results. They came on time and cleaned up nicely at the end. I would definitely recommend them.

From start to finish, our experience with Cedar County was exceptional. They gave us a quote very quickly (which was very reasonable) and scheduling was a breeze. Our new walkway/staircase across the lawn and down a slope is beautiful and sturdy. The team worked diligently, was very professional and checked in with us as they worked, to make sure it was going as we expected. Highly recommended.

Nothing but great things to say about the work done on our backyard. We had an awkward shaped and sloped yard that has been transformed to useable space. Bryan, Luis, and Noah are a great team! Their crew was so professional and friendly and went to WORK to bring us this awesome new backyard.

This is the second time we have used Cedar County the first was updating our sprinkler system and now they just completed tree pruning and updating of our yard lighting. The prices are fair and the workmanship is exceptional! We will definitely use them for all future landscaping projects.

Our backyard turned into a swampy mess in the winter. Inches of standing water would kill the grass and leave big mud pits that we would try to rehab in the spring and summer, just for it to all get wrecked again when the wet months returned. I hired Cedar County to remedy this and they laid out a plan that involved scraping the whole yard, filling in low spots, a few inches of new soil compacted and properly graded, a layer of hydroseed, and a french drain along the back of our property to catch the run-off as we are downhill from our neighbors. This work was completed in September, but I waited to write my review until the rain came in so I could truly see the results. Well, this past week we had record rain and flooding in the PNW, and how does the backyard look? Amazing. No lakes, no swamp, and the grass is standing tall. If it stayed strong against the atmospheric river downpour, then my confidence is high it'll handle the winter wet months with no problem.

I'll also note, I had three different companies come out to look at the property over the summer, and Cedar County was the only one that met my expectations for prompt and clear communication throughout the bidding process, and then they kept that same level of responsiveness through the duration of the job. Even when there was an unexpected snag in the work, Cedar County put in a some extra time to make everything how it should be without any fuss.

Thanks to CCL for the awesome work. The next time we're ready for a landscaping project they'll be my first call.

The yard on the north side of my house has been an unruly jungle, punctuated by rocks and tree roots, for at least 20 years. After hacking away most of the jungle I hired Cedar County Landscaping to install a paver path from the driveway into the backyard, and a flagstone pad for my garden bench.

Jacob, project foreman, and his crew, Manuel and Noah, spent two days carefully prepping and installing the path, maneuvering around trees and digging out rocks. They added a drywell for the gutter that previously had been dumping water right where the path would go. The end result is exactly what I wanted and I am so pleased!

I'm already looking at other projects in my yard and garden for Cedar County to tackle -- I'm just bummed I have to do it in small bites as my budget allows! I heartily recommend Cedar County Landscaping!

We had Cedar Co Landscaping redo and add sod to our backyard, add borders and lay new gravel to the sides of our house. Their crew worked quickly and cleaned up everything so nicely. Our backyard looks great and so do the graveled sides! Thank you to crew Reyes, Luis, Alex & Jose!

They worked with us to design and build a patio and walkways, installing retaining walls to create our backyard with areas for plantings. Gave us good advice and kept us updated on progress. The workers were very courteous and skilled. The job was completed in record time! We'll have them back when we have chosen our plants.

This is the 2nd time we’ve used Cedar County Landscaping and their work continues to be outstanding. They pay so much attention to the every detail and do such high quality work. And the guys doing the work are so kind and courteous. I always trust their suggestions and ideas. Our yard was spotless when they left. Highly recommended!

We’ve been using Cedar County Landscaping for our weekly landscaping services and they have been outstanding. The crew is always on time, professional, and incredibly consistent with the quality of their work. Our lawn looks clean, well-maintained, and healthy every single week.

What really stands out is their attention to detail — edging, trimming, and cleanup are always done thoroughly, and the property looks great when they’re finished. It’s clear they take pride in their work.

If you’re looking for a reliable landscaping company that shows up, communicates well, and keeps your property looking its best, I highly recommend Cedar County Landscaping. Great service and a great team!
