Carlos did such a nice job on our yard leveling project! Not only did he do quality work, but also he was efficient and checked in with us throughout the project to make sure he was meeting expectations. I would definitely hire him again!

Carlos and his team were fantastic. We hired his team to install turf in my backyard and more than just getting well placed turf he consulted on the various options available so we got just the right layout and soft plush feel. This was a two day project and the Synthetic Artificial Turf team was on time and great with follow up communication throughout the process.

Carlos and his team did a great job on my backyard concrete patio. The team was very professional and communication was great. It was a big job that required a lot of work. I had a old gazebo that needed to be demolished, as well as the excavating the backyard to have the ground slope away from the foundation. They did an amazing job! I would definitely hire them again for future projects and I highly recommend them!

Carlos and his team were always on time and finished the job when they said they would. We had them install artificial turf in a difficult area to access and they were careful and respectful of existing landscaping. Replacing our crumbling asphalt driveway with concrete is next on our list and we are looking forward to working with Carlos again.

Carlos and his team did a fantastic job! He came out the same day I contacted him for an estimate. He worked within our budget and got our project done in 1.5 days. We have a small yard and wanted to get pet/kid friendly turf and patio installed. He gave us a variety of options to choose from and made the entire process so easy! 100% would recommend having Carlos work on your next project!

Carlos was great. I took bids on 4 other companies. Carlos came out in the pouring rain to walk my yard and through the process. He was very communicative and professional the entire time. Not only was his bid fair and under the majority of other companies, but his work was also top notch, and he was able to get the job done within a couple weeks of coming out, while other companies said they would be months out. He even helped fix a paver issue I had with no hesitation. He turned my Greenlake mud pit into a little paradise for my dogs. I would highly recommend him and his company!

We couldn’t have gotten luckier finding JS Landscaping to do our turf! We got a new puppy and realized we were in for a very messy fall in Seattle if we didn’t get our all dirt front yard dealt with ASAP. He was very responsive, flexible, able to start within a week and was SO fast. He was done in one day and even came back to add river rock to our edging the day after. Extremely impressed by Carlos and will absolutely be recommending him in the future.

Carlos and his team have been amazing from beginning to end. We have dreamt of the backyard he was able to design for us. Not only is his work superb and aesthetically pleasing but the price was something that we were able to afford! This crew worked hard and got the job done quick. I highly recommend this company for any landscaping work. We will be using them again in the future for our next project as we have on going upgrades we are planning to do.

Carlos and team did a fantastic job with my property. I asked for three things: a new fence, an in-ground sprinkler system, and 4" of new top soil. The team delivered on all fronts and in a timely manner. Carlos is also flexible - last minute I asked for a larger gate on one side of my fence so that I could get larger equipment into my backyard if needed; without hesitation he said no problem and built it exactly as asked.

I'm in the process of reseeding the property myself, hence the dirt in the yard (it is very much intended). The sprinklers are working perfectly.

I'll recommend Carlos to anyone looking for landscaping work and will definitely use him again should I have future needs.

We are very happy with the work performed. We needed an inset created in our retaining wall with a cement pad poured for a new hot tub installation. They also turfed the yard. The work was performed efficiently and with good craftsmanship. We’re very happy we hired them for our project!

In SEATTLE, Washington, I had JS landscaping and excavation totally rebuild my 75 foot retaining wall on the side of my driveway with beautiful pieces of pressure treated wood and then as a bonus when I mentioned it, they graded and then put gravel down on my poor decrepit driveway. From the initial estimate That I received and printed out, and it was very detailed, which I like… to the promptness of their arrival today, this team worked together to make this beautiful retaining wall. I am more than thrilled with the finished product retaining wall and driveway. Big thumbs up to Carlos and the guys that work with him today👍👍👍👍👍

Carlos worked on installing my sprinkler system.
I believe Carlos is generally a nice guy and seems knowledgeable about his work, but he’s consistently irresponsible and unreliable. He often promises to take care of issues but then disappears without any notice, failing to call or reschedule. please keep in mind this is a true story not fabricated to paint his name Negatively. During the installation, he cut the main pipe, which had a one-and-a-half-inch radius, and connected a new, reduced-pressure pipe for the sprinkler system.

This new pipe, however, is only half an inch, which reduced the main house line by a full inch. Despite this, he insists he only installed a quarter-inch pipe, not a half-inch. Because of this change, the area where he worked has leaked, causing water to burst out of the ground. King County Water Services was alerted by a neighbor, and they came to shut off the water, notifying me afterward.

I called Carlos to inform him about the incident and asked if he could come to fix it. He agreed and asked for pictures, so I sent him the original photo, another one taken after the accident, and a third picture that I dug out myself to locate the source of the leak. Carlos assured me he would come by the end of the day but never showed up or called. Now he is demanding $3,000 for his work, despite the errors he made.

King County staff also noted that if an emergency, like a fire, had occurred, my house wouldn’t have had sufficient pressure to activate the sprinkler system, which could have been disastrous. Thankfully, nothing happened. Recently, I sent him a copy of the letter from the county requesting to be done correctly with the instructions and he replied that he’s going to Mexico and won’t be available. I found this unprofessional and told him I’d be filing a lawsuit, which he took as a threat.

I suspect there may be others who’ve experienced similar issues with Carlos on different jobs. I will not hire him again or recommend him to anyone. He is only compliance until he gets his money and after that he will be gone & you will not hear from him again. If that’s the case, please feel free to reach out. I’ve paid him enough to expect work that meets city code, but I’ve discovered that isn’t what I got. If you’d like to join me, please contact me via email. Thank you.
