Sebastian from Spokane Mechanical was quick to check out the problems with our heating system. The heat blew luke warm and AC was not very cold in the summer. Not only did he find and fix the problem at a very reasonable price, he also educated me on our system so I can be better at keeping it maintained. Sebastian is knowledgeable and personable. Even though it was during the hot summer days someone came out to fix my HVAC the day after they were called. The receptionist was super nice and called to let me know when the repairman was on his way. The repairman was very polite and informative and explained everything that was done. I have only positive things to say about their service!

We had a fantastic experience with Henry from Spokane Mechanical. After several visits from other technicians over the past 5 years, Henry was the first to not only correctly diagnose the issue with our HVAC system, but also go above and beyond in educating us along the way.

He took the time to explain that we were using the wrong type of furnace filter for optimum performance for our unit and he also discovered drywall dust inside the system from when our home was built—something every other technician had overlooked. His attention to detail and thoroughness gave us confidence that our system is finally in good hands.

Spokane Mechanical installed our Heat Pump/A/C unit about 7 years ago. Recently our unit was not blowing cold. I called and talked to a lady and they sent their tech out to our house. The guy checked a few things and told my wife that our unit had a leak in the line and that one of the valves was loose. All units have a high and low pressure valve that you can shut off. That's what was loose. So he turned the knob and tightened it up. No big deal. My wife stood right there and watched him do everything. Our unit had been low on freon, so they added some. The guy said we can't repair it, It has to be replaced. Good thing is that our unit is still covered under warranty. But the labor is not. So she asked how much will it cost. They said from $1000.00 to $1200.00.
I wanted a second opinion. So I called STURM. Guy came out and checked our unit. He said there's no leak. I stood there and watched him do everything. Still no leak.
Ok...back to the install of our unit in 2018 We have an upstairs and main floor thermostat. For some reason when we turn the A/C on upstairs it overrides the main floor. So when it's warm up stairs and you turn the A/C on, it keeps blowing cold air down stairs even when the downstairs is set at 71. It keeps blowing cold until the upstairs is at temp upstairs. But by that time, it's 51 degrees on the main floor. Spokane Mechanical couldn't fix it. They said that's just the way our system was designed. So we've been living like this for 7 years and not able to use our upstairs because it's either too hot or too cold.
Now..the Sturm guy. When he was out to double check Spokane Mechaicals work. Which I highly recommend doing, because they are ripping people off. I told him about the situation with the upstairs and downstairs. He got under the crawl space and figured it out. The baffle that operates the air flow from upstairs and the downstairs had not been working this whole time. So I had him do some more checking around. Spokane Mechanical had our Heat Pump to operate by electric heat pump and GAS. We don't have gas where we live. Even if we wanted gas, we can't get it. So my guy changed that around as well.
****Update****
We had another hicup. Our heat was not working after they came out and fixed our A/C. I won't go into details...but I called Rick and explained a few things. They sent Henry out on Friday 10-3-25. He got here about 11:30 and left around 4. I believe...Knocked it out of the park. Fixed our unit! I hung out with Henry while he worked and chatted with him. Real nice guy! Knows his stuff. I appreciate Rick and his crew. They did a outstanding job. Sometimes we jump to conclusions. And we apologize for that. We did get an apology from Henry. Thank You Sir! Today was all on Spokane Mechanical. Didn't charge us a dime.

Henry from Spokane Mechanical Heating and Cooling has really been amazing. He identified a leak in our four head system and was able to fix it and bring the unit back online. He takes time to explain what he’s doing in words you can understand and really enjoys his job. We experienced a water heater failure and called Spokane Mechanical Heating & Cooling as they were highly recommended by the Rheem Corporation. Henry arrived the following morning to diagnose the problem. Within minutes he discovered the element and the electronic controller had failed. Henry contacted Rheem to order the faulty components. Several days later the parts arrived and we contacted Merissa to schedule the installation. Henry came back to our house and in very short order installed the parts and had the water heater fully functioning once again.

We wholeheartedly recommend this company for your heating and cooling needs. We will definitely call them if the need arises in the future.

Spokane Mechanical Heating and Cooling saved me thousands of dollars.
I have a nine year old HVAC system, heat and central air. The AC hadn’t been working well for a few years, progressively getting worse.
I had multiple companies service it. The company known as ‘fixed right or it’s free’ serviced the system multiple times, couldn’t tell me anything wrong and advised it was too small for my house. One technician was such a pushy salesman, seemed to have little interest in finding an issue.
Another well known local company came out to quote me a ‘middle of the road’ replacement at over $16 thousand.
A friend recommended Spokane Mechanical Heating and Cooling. They came out to service the system, but at this point I was convinced I needed a quote for a new system.
Henry B was my technician and awesome from the moment he got here. He didn’t want to talk about a replacement until he evaluated and serviced my existing HVAC system to ensure it was working properly.
Henry found the problem, well a few problems. The connection to the coolant tank hadn’t been tightened at all. A good majority of the coolant had leaked out. Another connection on the system had double gaskets and finally the filter I was using was too good. Causing a lack of airflow and my system was overheating. He filled my coolant and fixed the issues and the AC is working great again!
I was so relieved by his honesty and care he took while working in my home. He explained things well, allowed me to ask questions, and was an overall great guy.
Henry B earned the company a loyal customer for life. When it comes time to replace my HVAC system, I won’t hesitate… I’ll be calling Spokane Mechanical Heating and Cooling!
