Reviews of local pros in Gig Harbor, Washington

I had Star Tree Service cut 3 trees and I could not be happier with the experience. The owner was responsive, professional and friendly providing fare and competitive. The work performed by the crew was exactly as requested. They worked quickly and professionally to complete the job being friendly to me and each other. I will be using them for all my tree service needs.

Thank you Star for a fair and honest bid, as well as good suggestions for tree care in our yard. Your crew were prepared, professional, quick and skilled. We so appreciate their quality hard work, thorough clean up, and kindness toward us and our dog while here. Their work made such a visible difference in our yard, letting so much more light in, and giving us peace of mind to have trees and large branches removed from close proximity to our roof. We highly recommend Star Tree Service and will call them again in the future.

Star Tree Service is excellent. We along with several of our neighbors got together to discuss view preservation in the area. Star came out quickly to work with each homeowner to discuss our needs. He gave us a fair quote that same day. The STS crew came out the next day to begin the work. They worked quickly and professionally. They were polite and friendly. They checked with each homeowner during the project to make sure we were pleased with the outcome. We were all so pleased with their work that each homeowner requested additional tree work. We were impressed that the STS crew was able to work the additional projects into their schedule. This is the third project that we have personally used Star Tree Service. We highly recommend STS.

Very pleased with Star Tree Service. They removed a very tall fir tree that was between a fence and a shared driveway on the other side of which was a drain field. They were careful not to damage the fence or the drain field. The quote was competitive compared to two other companies, scheduling was fast, and they cleaned up the area exceptionally well. As a bonus, the crew was polite in moving out of the way each time a vehicle needed to pass through.

We cannot recommend Star Tree Service more highly! They are prompt, knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Star would not accept payment until he was certain that we were satisfied (which we were). A great crew, thank you!

Couldn’t be more happy with the service, professionalism and quick turnaround. We had many very large trees needing limping to protect our house- they came in on a moments notice and worked meticulously to cleanup our acre-lot.

Great crew. Took care of four firs no problem and kept my house safe (which was very close to the removed trees). Thanks Star!

We have hired Star Tree Service a couple of times now since moving to FI to trim and remove some trees in our yard, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The team is always very professional, punctual, and incredibly skilled. They work efficiently, clean up all the debris, and left our property looking better than ever. Their attention to safety and detail is amazing. We highly recommend Star Tree Service to anyone needing tree care!

These guys are awesome. Im really impressed at how well these guys work together and how much they can get done so quickly. They took out a huge tree and 6 medium ones in less than a day. They will be back to my beighbors tomorrow. Great work. Any mess was cleaned up. No damage to the lawn.

Star and his crew removed four large trees on my property within a day without incident. And, provided clean mulched, wood chips for garden. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them for your tree removal service. They are professional at a reasonable price.

Great work by Star Tree Service. Professional all the way around. Star worked with me to get 10 monster trees down ! Crew was professional & worked hard to finish.
Very nice to work with an honest company who did not rip me off like the others did. They did everything they said would be done !
Very impressed ! Highly recommended ! This will be the only company I will use from now on !

So happy with Star and his crew!
2 huge trees overshadowing my house that I didn't feel comfortable dropping myself.
I didn't need the typical piece by piece removal, as I had lots of space away from the house where they could be dropped.
I only had the budget for one day, and so I didn't want to pay for cleanup, and wanted the trees felled whole (if it was safe for them) so that I could mill them into lumber.
They came up with a creative solution that saved a ton of time without endangering the crew or my house and they got everything done in one day. I could not be happier!
The guys had a great attitude and answered all of my questions.
Great experience, great price, great work done right.
If you want to know who to trust with dangerous tree removal, call Star!!!

We had them drop wood chips and had a great experience. Everything from calling in and speaking with Lisa in the office, to the team that showed up to drop the chips, they were friendly, helpful, and were able to get the chips dropped in the right spot. Will call them again when we need additional services! Thanks Star Tree Service!

Star Tree Service did a terrific job! We just needed the tree down, we can do the processing of it. They were safe and efficient. I would highly recommend them. Thanks again!

Outstanding service from Star Tree Service, in particular from Star himself. After the recent windstorm we had a pine tree top snap off about 20 ft up and fall onto the adjacent trees. After the weekend I called Star and he showed up that afternoon to provide an estimate. His team came out the next day and were able to complete the work in between downpours. Very happy with his team's performance and we will definitely use him in the future, while recommending his services to neighbors. Thanks Star Tree Service!

Star and his crew did an excellent job clearing out 11+ trees and also removing the dead branches. Our yard looks like a completely different! They did great cleaning up all of the extra leaves/branches/debris. I would highly recommend Star to anyone who is looking for an amazing company who is hard working and gets the job done at a very reasonable rate!

Complicated dangerous 4 day job removing 25 fir trees while saving Madrona trees. Star the owner is very hard working and conscientious. I’ve used a different service for years but gave Star this job. Particularly impressed with how they didn’t just clean up when done, but each evening. My neighbors were not inconvenienced in any way. Highly recommend these guys for tree service.

I had to have 80’ alder trees covered with ivy removed next to our neighbors fence. Star bid on the job one day and the next, they were gone. Highly recommend this long-time Gig Harbor man and his crew!!

Star and his team are excellent! They are professional and courteous. We had a large expanse of trees topped for preserving our view. The job site was difficult but they completed the job as promised with attention to detail. The crew checked in frequently to make sure height was correct and they cleaned up the site so all neighbors were happy. I will definitely call Star for the next tree project!

I had a great experience with Star Tree Service. I had a tree that was right next to my fence that needed to come down. Out of all the companies I called, they stood out to me for how clear an easy they made the process. They came and gave me their estimate, which I felt was very fair, so we shook hands, I signed the contract, and they showed up right on time to remove the tree as scheduled. They are true professionals. How they were able to perfectly cut the tree so it fell at such an angle that not a single branch even scratched my fence or any of the structures around it was seriously impressive. I appreciated how attentive the owner was in making sure I was 100% satisfied before they left. I could really tell how much pride and care they have about the work they do. From scheduling to cleanup, all was smooth, clear, and professional. Highly recommend this company and I will definitely use them again in the future.

I highly recommend Star Tree Service! We have had Star Tree Service cut down more than 15 trees (fir, madrona, and alder) on our property. Star, the owner, has been great to work with - he is very knowledgeable, professional, and reasonable. Also, his crew has been safe and efficient, and they do an amazing job cleaning up after their work. Definitely call them if you need any tree removal services!
