Constraction reviews in Issaquah, Washington

Wally is an excavating wizard! He graded and leveled our sloped backyard in one day. It looks better than we could have imagined and we are very impressed. We will be using him again if other landscaping projects arise.

Gator landscaping was great! Walter did an amazing water feature and a rock wall. After 7 years- it’s still looks great! he even came and maintained it when my pump got old and it needed cleaning !

Wally is awesome! This is the second time we used his services and he did not disappoint. This time we needed a retaining wall and pathway. His quote was fair, he was timely and efficient. He really is a wizard with his machines!

Quality, communication, professionalism, collaboration, cost, and schedule - Thornberg delivered on it all for us during our remodel (upper story addition, new kitchen, bathroom, flooring, entryway) - going with them was perhaps the best decision we made throughout the project; absolutely zero regrets and a ton of relief.

Build experience was good but we have not been able to get any response from the company to help us with an issue related to mold on eves. Rating is related to customer service post completion. Experts have suggested the mold issue comes from paint applied when sheathing moisture content was too high and/or other issues with paint application. Painters were subs of Thornberg.

We had Thornberg Construction repair the damage to our home after the Nov 2024 bomb cyclone. They were absolutely marvelous, very professional and so easy to deal with. Mitch and the crew showed up each day on time and worked hard through the day to get it done! They worked with the insurance and were very quick to answer any questions we had—would not use any other contractor on future projects.

Thornberg has reroofed my garage after their inspection found severe water damage in the attic. Mitchell’s professionalism put my mind at ease as he walked through all the areas of repair and helped identify the cause, which resulted in a successful insurance claim. Kevin was great during the bidding process explaining all options and providing all required information for the insurance claim. The replacement was as painless as a roof replacement could be, they were expedient and efficient. They cleaned each night and had a thorough post inspection process. They are a family owned business would highly recommend and use them again for any home remodeling or repairs, great experience!

After getting several bids, Thornberg’s proposal was very competitive with the competition. After completion of our kitchen remodel, we were very thankful that we had contracted with Thornberg. Kevin, Mitchell and the crew were outstanding and consistently made sure that we were happy with the process from start to finish. They arrived when they said they would, and were very efficient with scheduling the work skills needed to keep the project moving. I highly recommend them and will definitely call them when we need more work done.

Impeccable work quality and ultra-luxe design that feels so customized and thoughtful. It was a pleasure to work with Steve, Lisa and the whole team at Schock Construction & Design. I would highly recommend working with this team for integrity, quality and getting your dream home delivered!

Top notch workwith trusted, reliable employees

Had a wonderful experience with the whole Schock team with our recent main floor remodel. Personal, professional and excellence in service provided. Would definitely use them again!

Schock construction was a great choice and a great experience for us and our home. The work they did was top notch with quality and percision. They did what they said they would do, on time and within our budget. The owner Steve was available for all questions and answered them with honesty and committment to getting what I wanted done to my request. Highly recommend Schock Construction!

We hired Shock Construction to remodel our family room and kitchen island. We provided Steve with a photo of a fire place and storage cabinets/mantel and he took the time to put together an outstanding design, build plan, and estimate. The design team helped us with style choices and colors. The project came in on time and budget! I highly recommend Shock Construction.

We made a bathroom out of a laundry room, and remodeled a second bathroom. Schock was extremely professional, friendly, and systematic. They took care of surprises and finished the project ahead of time. They kept us informed throughout. The entire team is amazing! I am so glad we picked them.

We hired Schock Construction to do a major renovation to our kitchen and living spaces, something we had dreamed of doing for at least 10 years. Yes, doing a kitchen renovation is disruptive, and sometimes messy, but it was totally worth it. From design to completion, the Schock team made the process not so daunting. The measure of success of our project is that we would do it again without hesitation and there is really nothing we would do different. Our experience added value to our home and to our quality of life.

Exceptional Whole House Remodeling Experience with Schock Construction Inc.

I cannot say enough positive things about Steve Schock and the amazing team he has assembled - our remodel was well
thought out before we started but as is often the case - we continued to add significant projects - the team still managed to stay on schedule! We stayed away for much of the project but totally trusted our house was safe and in good hands. The workmanship was expert with attention to detail but what really stood out was the care and kindness to make sure we were happy and satisfied - we never felt pressured into anything. Everyone takes pride in their work and often went above and beyond. All the trades they brought in were careful, talented and respectful. I highly recommend Schock Construction!!!
Thank You Steve, Elijha, Mike, Lisa, Amanda, Michelle and Doug - I am very grateful.

Best Choice Ever! We had a big remodel done by Schock Construction. The entire team & the communication was great. Everyone is nice, patient and professional. Schock has a great team across all levels from designers and product support staff to the skilled craft people. It was so nice to find a company we could trust. Thank you Schock Construction. We love our updated home.

Schock is a fantastic crew! We contracted the team to do a major remodel of our midcentury house. After interviewing a variety of contractors we landed on Schock as our partner. I have a lot of experience with contractors from family members who work in the industry and I could recognize straight away that this team really knows their stuff, have deep expertise, and care so much about the quality of the work they do. They come with the full shop of experts as well - including help us with designs for all the new rooms (Amanda has a great eye!). The on-site team (Doug, Mike & crew) were phenomenal, keeping us in the loop on progress and with a keen eye for detail. Everyone we worked with at Schock has been true partners for us! Highly recommend Steve Schock and his crew any day if you want beautiful results and a great experience with kind, caring people.
