The electrician is super efficient!!

Improperly installed equipment and caused fire. Dont trust these idiots.

They came to investigate rice cooker tripping the circuit breaker. He spent 5 minutes and first said we need new breaker, did not have one and after another 5 minutes blamed the rice cooker and left. Sent $350 bill. Rice cooker worked fine in all other gfi plugs in the house and also regular outlets except kitchen. I called and asked him to explain and he said kitchen has special gfi breaker so its sensitive. Turned out that was also false since rice cooker worked fine in same kitchen after a week so there was something else causing the problem. They also charged fuel surcharge even though my house in few miles from Kenmore! Never using them again!

We have used Viking at our condo building for retrofitting our garage and lobby lighting to LED. They have also upgraded our exterior lighting and helped troubleshoot an issue with our low voltage security cameras with great success. A number of owners at our building have used Viking for heater replacements and other electrical projects. Angela, Tom and Leeroy are great to work with.

I'm very happy with the photovoltaic (PV) installation done by the folks at Northwest Electric and Solar (NWES) last spring. We were adding about 6.6 kW of solar panels to the roof of our 100+ year old home and were also changing from gas heating to air source heat pump at that time. Besides the addition of the solar panels and installation of the related DC/AC inverter, it also required an upgrade of our main electric panel to bring it up to current building codes and accommodate the new circuits.
For the planning phase, NWES provided detailed descriptions of various options for our situation and were flexible in working with us to adapt the solution to our requirements and constraints. They also did all the work necessary for permitting with the city and connection of the PV system to the local utility company.
For installation they came out several times for a pre-work inspection of the site, the electric panel upgrade, PV installation, and heat pump connection, and were always on time and easy to work with. They performed all tasks from planning to installation to my fullest satisfaction and I can highly recommend their services.

Highly recommend this company! Ian Crilly did our EV charger and new panel installation last year and easily figured out workarounds for some issues that popped up. A year later our charger died (nothing to do with the electrical work we had done) and Ian came back out within a week of calling to see what had happened. He and his team helped us through the reordering/warranty process and got it fixed quickly. The team has been great to work with, and Ian communicated really well to help us get everything sorted out.

We had a great experience getting our EV Charger installed by Northwest Electric and Solar. They have a well designed online portal that allowed for easy communication, which they were very prompt with. Ian was our electrician and he was great! He showed up on time and finished the job quickly with minimal disruption to our daily life (he had to cut power to our house once for maybe 10 minutes and gave us ample notice when we was about to do so). The quality of the install was excellent and NW Electric worked with the city to send out an inspector to make sure it was all to code. We had a great experience throughout the process and are very happy with the install. Would highly recommend!

Northwest Electric and Solar just completed installation of a solar system with Tesla Powerwall 3 battery system at our home. The whole process has been very easy to navigate with great support from the initial sales process through the planning and installation. The installation crew was amazing. They were very interested in making sure that we were included with each decision that needed to be made and they were happy to listen to input from us. The installers were very respectful of the property and left it clean after each day they were here. Of course a project of this complexity is likely to have minor glitches and the team showed their true strengths in how they responded to those issues. The installation was beautifully done and was fully operational well within the estimated timeframe (including inspections from the city and power company). We would recommend Northwest Electric and Solar without hesitation.

I found Northwest Electric and Solar through Tesla’s website as a recommended solar installation provider. I was contacted by Theo Frare Davis, but despite replying to him within minutes, it took 5 days for him to send me a quote.

When I asked for additional services, he would only reply days later each time. This slow response was extremely frustrating, especially since I made it clear I was serious about moving forward. I even told him to please take the matter seriously, but he just laughed. That told me all I needed to know about the kind of business this is.

They installed a Tesla EV charger at my home, and I am very happy with the total experience. The price was very competitive with other local options, and it was easy to schedule the appointment. Ian Crilly was my installation technician, and he was great. Showed up exactly on time, was professional and courteous throughout the project. He kept me informed, and cleaned up everything like new when he was finished. I am happy with Northwest Electric and Solar and would use them again and recommend them to others.

We used NW solar and Electric in 2017 to install our solar panels. At the same time I had them revonfigure our breaker box to free up room for an EV charger.
The electrician did an amazing job. I have had a couple other electricians come to do small jobs like adding a generator. Every time one of the other electricians sees the work, they comment on the beautiful job that was done by NW solar and electric person. Commonly they say that this was certainly not done by the builder.

Northwest Electric and Solar company did a great job with installing a Tesla wall charger in my garage. The entire process (getting a quote, scheduling a date, installing the charger, enabling remote inspection, etc.) was done seamlessly. No wonder they are one of the top service providers recommended on the Tesla site.
On the day of the appointment, David Ramirez from Northwest Electric & Solar arrived ahead of time and completed the job like a thorough professional. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions patiently. He did a great job cleaning up after installing the charger and helped complete the remote inspection. David made sure that we tested the charger and everything worked fine before he left my place. NW Electric & Solar recently installed a Span Panel along with a Powerwall 3 at my home.

While I wouldn’t necessarily say I regret hiring NW Solar, the project didn’t go smoothly and I would currently hesitate to recommend them.

The Span panel provides useful data and the Powerwall has already flawlessly provided backup energy during a grid outage. No issues with either product.

However, my project changed hands at NW Solar numerous times throughout the planning process and it was a consistent struggle to make sure my needs were properly addressed with each handover. There were components to the installation they assured me would be addressed that were just blatantly missed, which they were happy to charge me their standard hourly rate to fix.

Additionally, Puget Sound Energy is currently evaluating disconnect our service since the Powerwall is exporting energy without permission.

I hope these issues will get addressed. If they are, I’ll provide an update.
