Home Services reviews in Kent, Washington
-
They know what they're doing and they do it.
-
They left a big mess. I told them right away and they did nothing about it. I only heard back from them a year later when they were trying to schedule a new job. Would not recommend.
-
Knowledgeable and friendly arborist but atrocious administrative side. Been rescheduling me for almost a year, and did not honor signed contract price.
-
Have used this service for years, last time 6 years ago. Now they are horrible evidenced by so many poor reviews and lack of customer service. Dont take messages correctly, no live person to answer their phones, reprehensible! We
are so done! -
I am torn as the work they do is great, their prices are naturally the highest for this world, but I have been having longer and longer wait times, rescheduling, and issues. I highly recommend their work, but at this point, I can't highly recommend the people doing it.

Mourning the loss of our child and the salesman who we asked for privacy wouldn’t leave our property, after telling him we were in mourning. Do you have any boundaries? So disrespectful on multiple levels.
-
The crew did an okay job on our trees, but this company is only interested in taking your money -- and not customer service. Next time, I'll find a smaller company that actually cares about their customers.

We thought we had a diseased Japanese Maple so we contacted EVER GREEN TREE CARE and Rob Rennick, one of the companies' arborist, came out and within minutes diagnosed the problem and provided the solution. He didn't charge us for the visit and only asked us to consider them for future needs! 100% - moving forward, we will absolutely call them to maintain our 100' Diadora (at a second home in WS) and any other tree services we require!! Ron has earned our business!

Arborists and tree trimmers were wonderful to work with - 5 stars to them.
The office & admin, however, are awful. Unresponsive to emails and calls, unclear and disorganized in their billing, and generally not concerned about communicating well with clients. 1 star -
Very unimpressed with this company. Took 4 months to get them out to cut a small tree at our house. The 3 men cutting the tree were rude and dismissive when I asked them not to pile wood rounds on our plants. The man schedule to grind the stump didn't show up when promised. And the cost was very high considering the small size of the tree and fact it took them less than an hour .

They were able to come out right away due to a cancelation. The 3-member crew did an absolutely fantastic job with a dangerous situation, and left the site as clean as could be. This was my second time using them, and I would not hesitate to call them again.

We are very pleased with the job Evergreen Tree Care provided for us today! From the start, all staff we were in contact with were pleasant, communicative and provided excellent service. Clean up after the job was immaculate. We highly recommend this company to you... They're BBB approved with a certified arborist. We will definitely call on them again for our shrub/tree care.

High pressure tactics, asking you to sign a contract on the laptop right away. Then they enforce unreasonable terms in the contract. They basically know that no one will read all of the contract terms on their laptop at the site visit. I'm a general contractor. Their business practices are unacceptable. Avoid

I specifically reached out to Evergreen to meet and discuss my tree situation in person so we can discuss options.
I made an appointment and changed my work schedule to meet the consultant in person.
I left work and rushed home to meet at the appointment time. No one arrived.
I see a voicemail that was left earlier in the day with a guy stating that he already talked to me about the tree, which is untrue as I've not talked to anyone about this tree before.
He goes on to state things I already knew, but instead of discussing it in person at the time I made the appointment, he says to call him to talk about it, defeating the purpose of an in-person appointment.
I then call to discuss this and get no answer.
I've dealt with many contractors over the years, and this is one of the indicators of poor service.
If I can not trust Evergreen to follow through with simple appointment requests, I can not trust them on my property or with my money. -
Unfortunate experience. Overpriced and underwhelmed. The sales guy made a lot of promises when reviewing the trees that needed to be cut down.
Some slick fine print, seemingly left open to interpretation, left me in shock after the crew cut down the trees and started packing up to leave. They cut up the tree in sections and left them exactly where they were.... all over our yard. I asked when they planned to stack them on the curb, like the salesman told us they would and was told "we don't touch the wood after we cut it." Seriously?!
I was so shocked, especially with my 87 year old parents standing there wondering what they were going to do next. We ended up hiring someone else to pick up all of the wood chunks and stack them for us.
The cherry on top, they never returned to finish with the smaller trees the salesman promised they'd come back to cut down.
Fully paid and fully dissatisfied. -
The extent of work they did failed to meet our expectations, which we had discussed with their estimator. The crew was great, but inadequate time had been allotted for our job, so crew had to rush; also estimator had failed to let crew know our Portuguese laurel was a big tree, not a hedge. Work failed to include cable for another tree (had been discussed with estimator), and this had to be last minute add. Overall I did not feel it was an especially good value for $, with completed job not encompassing all that was discussed.
Estimator is very polished, friendly, yet result failed to come up to expectations
Also, I was a new customer, and found 10% discount voucher for new business. It arrived the day after I signed the estimate, and they refused to honor it.
Lastly, be aware that Evergreen is just the marketing and sales arm for a group of arborist companies. It is one of these companies who show up to do the work. -
Company sent someone out to my house unprompted and attempted to solicit services despite multiple attempts to decline. Would not hire based on potential customer service.

Very suspicious looking guy was lurking around my home taking photographs today. When I asked him what he was doing he said he was photographing this silly Halloween decoration, which is BS. His camera was not even pointed in that direction.
He then tells me that he's with "Evergreen Tree Care" and that they're "doing some work in the neighborhood". Really? I thought you needed a truck and a chainsaw to do tree work. I've NEVER seen those guys around here and they sure as hell weren't here today. Again... BS.
Look at the reviews for this Company and do an AI Search. SCAM ARTISTS. None of the reputable Tree Care companies are sending people door-to-door and pressuring homeowners into expensive, sometimes un-permitted work that they don't need. The major tree services have all the work they can handle. (I'm in the construction business and I know)
The reason these guys have to go scamming door-to-door is that none of the Reputable builders will work with them - which is where the real Tree Companies get a lot of their work. So Ever Green has a strategy is to go scare some hapless homeowners into overpriced work that they don't need, and often doesn't even get done.
DON'T TALK TO DOOR-TO-DOOR SALESPEOPLE. PERIOD! You're just begging to be scammed if you do. -
Estimator made a lot of promises about what would be done and only a small piece of it was. My wife came home and said I thought the tree people were coming today?! Ouch
Over promise, under deliver. -
They sent a consultant out to my house to assess a tree. She was rude, interrupted and quickly lost any chance of my business within the first two minutes. Sales personel should be patient, kind and informative. They should earn my business, not expect it.

I had a good experience with Ever-Green Tree Care, Nick was professional and explained what they would do to remove several trees in my yard, gave me an estimate via email and required a 10% deposit. They called me later to schedule a time and they arrived on time for the appointment window and did a good job at trimming and removing trees. Very thorough clean-up too.
