Drew and Pete did a fantastic job building our new Suncadia home. They made the process so easy! From start to finish the whole thing took just over nine months, which was a miracle during the pandemic. Another miracle? They were so organized that even during all of the materials shortages we were never delayed. I appreciated their design input and the access to showrooms to choose our finishes. Also, given how hard this past winter was up in the mountains with the sheer amount of snow we are pleased to report that while many of our neighbors had ice damns and damage our house is in perfect condition. I can’t say enough great things about how the whole process went and how easy these guys (and their project manager Spencer) were to work with! I highly recommend!

We built our dream home completely from foundation with Bauer Homes and couldn’t be happier. Peter went above and beyond, and worked with us to plan our home design, budget, and foresaw with meticulous detail the completion of our 4000 sq. ft. home. He was always courteous, professional, friendly, respectful, and we appreciated his attention to detail and quality work in every aspect of my home. He always promptly returned our calls and emails, always kept us up to date daily with construction plans and budget, and always discussed choices and issues with us. Among the many home builders we consulted with, we chose Peter for his sincerity and insight, his willingness to work out plans and explore possibilities that would meet our budget and desires, and he was also the only builder who wanted to meet with us at the actual site of our future home, and envisioned the project on our property as a whole, not just the actual house. He even considered resale value, which was something we did not even think about! We had imagined a humble “normal house,” but what Peter built for us still within budget completely exceeded our expectations and imaginations. We now live in the most beautiful dream home and the envy of all my neighbors! It has been 1 whole year that we live here now, and we have had no issues concerning the quality of construction. The house is solidly built - and we know, because we were there with Peter with every step, including plans with the engineers and architect. Whatever small cosmetic issues we had since, Peter promptly came to fix it within a few days. We consider Peter a true friend and it was such great pleasure working with him, and we were blessed to have had him as our “partner” in making our dream home come true.

We chose the Bauer Team to build our custom home, based on our sense that they would not just be “builders” but that they would be “partners” with us in this endeavor. Pete & Drew, and Spencer - their great Superintendent proved choosing them was a great decision! We had many ideas of special, unusual features we wanted in our Suncadia home, and knew some of these would likely complicate the building process. The Bauer team never hesitated to professionally and thoroughly tackle every special feature we wanted – beginning with initial planning for each one, followed with special attention to every construction detail. Just one example, is our beautiful wine cellar that required special attention to vapor barrier, insulation, wall covering, a glass wall and door, lighting, and cooling – the Bauer team meticulously and perfectly addressed each of those and we are thrilled with the result! Beyond the many features we initially knew we wanted – were challenges arising from “things you never thought about, until the project is underway”. Pete, Drew and Spencer were wonderful in addressing any concern or desire for a change that we thought of as the project progressed – they listened and advised us, and once again – partnered with us to address our request. An example was how they helped us raise the ceiling in a couple areas where we realized we wanted more ceiling height, long after framing had been completed. And we are so happy with those higher ceilings. As our project started winding down, all of the Bauer Team was totally focused on final intricate details, making sure no little detail was missed – the tiling, floors, walls, appliances, even meticulously cleaning. The result was that our “pre-move-in punch list” revealed unusually few items – basically a nearly perfect build, almost nothing more than a couple very minor requests that we needed them to do. The move-in couldn’t have been better. And topping this off, after our move-in, we’ve also had no noteworthy issues – only a question or two along the way, that the Bauer team quickly and thoroughly answered. Pete, Drew and team were great to work with, and professionally delivered the exact home we envisioned, that is proving to have been built with excellence in every regard. We love our new home in every way, and we highly recommend Bauer Custom Homes!
