I bought my first home in Everett in 2015, hired ECC to come and make sure my fireplace was good to go for my first fall in my new house. After they replaced both dampers, and the crown and a few other things for a few thousand dollars, my fireplace still did not operate correctly, brining tons of smoke in my house. After going back and forth with them about their lack of availability I gave up. Its been three years and I still have not used my fireplace. I called today and asked for an appointment for a test fire. Their earliest appointment was December 13th, more than two months away. I asked if there was anyway I could get an earlier appointment, I was told I'm being rude and Lori actually hung up on me. When I called back and asked her how she can do that to a customer who has paid multiple thousands to them, she told me to stop calling and to never call again. Ok, ECC, you win.

These guys are great and worth the wait. Timely, super professional, and affordable. Came out to my house and took care of my chimney cap same day. Will have them seal the chimneys in the summer. Highly recommended .

A month ago I made an appt for chimney & fireplace cleaning & inspection. On Wed. I received an Email confirmation of my appt on Fri 9/3. Correct time, address, ... I moved everything away from the area as requested. Friday I waited for over an hour and a half - NO SHOW. I called ECC and was first told I didn't have an appt. I said I did and had a confirmation email. She said "that doesn't mean anything". She checked and found they had cancelled my appt. I said I didn't get any notice, no call etc and had prepared and waited for their visit. Was told they had no techs in Seattle then. Later she said she could schedule me for the afternoon (2-4) and see if she could find someone. I said that's not going to work, not waiting around again for maybe show and waste more of my time. She apologized but didn't offer to schedule another firm appt for another day, nothing. Told her how disappointed I was in them. I gave them 2 stars only because this summer I used them for a much more expensive job to replace a chimney wind chaser and cap. they were on time for both the estimate visit and to do the work. But my simple request for a chimney cleaning wasn't important enough for them to follow thru.

When the estimator came out to give a quote for the work we wanted done, he broke a piece in our fireplace insert. He was pushing hard and trying to get it to move and it would it wouldn’t move. At the time, he said that they would replace the part. When I got the quote, there was a line at the bottom saying that they weren’t responsible for the part and that I would have to call Aqua Quip to get it replaced. If they won’t stand behind their word for replacing this part, what would they do if something want wrong with the repair. Big red flag!! Not using this company.

The service was top-notch! The crew was professional, and their dedication to quality work was evident throughout the entire process.

I had ECC do a chimney tear down and rebuild. They did quality work and I am very pleased with the end result. The crew were on time, neat, and cleaned up well. From the front office to the construction crew, they were professional and courteous in every interaction I had.

Wayne and the crew at Emerald City were absolutely fantastic. When I first called I spoke to Jill who is extremely pleasant and organized and very nice to converse with. We got on the schedule right away. We were a bit concerned that our chimney rebuild was going to cost a fortune; but Emerald City was able to do it extremely affordably and we have a nice new chimney we can be proud of...and it's safe again! Thanks to Wayne and his awesome masons for doing one heckuva great job!
