Emerald City Chimney not only replaced two of our crumbling chimneys but also replaced and repaired two light pillars in front of our home and added a cosmetic "top" to some of our brick walls. They did a beautiful job matching our existing brick and they were very diligent and professional with their work each day.

I felt extremely unsafe while the Emerald City Chimney technician (Bruce) was in my house. He did not arrive at the correct time, was rude immediately upon arrival, unprofessional in appearance, and didn't know any details about the work that was to be done at my house.

When I asked him questions about the work to be done, he got incredibly agitated and yelled at me in my house. He accused me of not being the homeowner (I am, though I am female and was home alone at the time), of asking too many questions, and did not want me to call his company's office. When I did, he stormed out and left.

I was told by the office that there are no other technicians, so they cannot send someone else to my house.

I think there are significant safety concerns for anyone who uses Emerald City. I'd recommend that you steer clear.

The entire ECC team deserves a huge shout out. From the beginning, Jill was extremely pleasant to work with in the office. Wayne and his crew were very professional, kept the work site clean, taking steps to protect both the inside and outside of our house, and did great work. Wayne had to deliver some bad news to us, which increased the scope and price of the project, but he and Brent were tremendous in working us into the schedule immediately so that they could continue the work already in progress and worked through the challenges with us. Can't say enough positive things about them, their crew, or the work performed. Thank you!!!

Emerald City Chimney provides an outstanding level of work, customer service and they have very fair prices. They are always on time and im amazed at how quickly they do their work. They show us pics of before and after and our chimney looks brand new each time. I would highly suggest working with them.

Hired Emerald City Chimney to clean and seal stone chimney on roof top. Good communication from office. Needed to reschedule once because of weather. Work finally completed on 5/25. Austane, the technician, arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. Work was completed quickly and efficiently. Price was reasonable for work performed. Happy to recommend them and will use them again if needed.

I almost never give 5 star reviews. I have dealt with so many contractors recently after buying our first house and can honestly say Emerald City has been the best to work with. They were safe, thoughtful, and careful while they were here and arrived within the window they said they would be here. Wayne identified a major issue where another contractor had recently applied the wrong kind of sealant on my chimney that could've resulted in greater expense and damage for us down the road. Trish was also incredibly accommodating to the fact that we needed the chimney work done quickly and found a way to squeeze us in despite their busy schedule. Another chimney specialist gave me a quote that was significantly more expensive and included work that didn't need to be done. I appreciate that ECC was honest with me in their appraisal and did excellent work. Highly recommend.

Our chimney cap was damaged after a bad storm, and we were worried about water and debris getting in. I called this company, and they sent someone out right away to assess the situation. The technician was super knowledgeable and explained the importance of having a well-functioning cap. He repaired it quickly, and it’s as good as new! No more worrying about animals or weather causing problems.

10/10: I loved that this is a local company.
I recently had Emerald City Chimney service my wood burning stove. After having a terrible experience with another company, it was a perfect experience with Emerald City Chimney. Starting with browsing their website I was able to see pictures of all of their technicians, which was helpful to know who was going to be showing up to my home. I had the pleasure of having Bruce assigned to take care of my chimney. Bruce did a fantastic job of listening to my concerns, walking me through what he was seeing and covering options with me around what was needed and what should be done when. After he was finished with the sweeping and inspection, he throughly cleaned the area leaving it in immaculate condition. He also took the time to walk me through the billing and what the process looked like. All in all this was a fantastic experience and I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Emerald City Chimney and Bruce to anyone looking to have their Chimney serviced. THANK YOU BRUCE and ECC!

Great place I have used for over a decade. They have always been honest with me and done good work for a good price. I mostly see Bruce and he is a good guy, takes care of things properly. I recently had a weird incident with our fireplace where creosote was falling down the chimney onto our insert and it choked out the fireplace. I called on a Friday late afternoon and they made an appointment for me first thing in the morning. Bruce kindly addressed the problem for us so we have the option of using our fireplace before it gets really cold.

Bruce showed up ay our house on time and got straight to work cleaning our fireplace flue. The work was completed professionally, and for the price that was as quoted on the phone. We had a different company come out to our house prior to Emerald City Chimney that wanted to charge 7x the rate that was originally advertised.

I would recommend their service and plan to have them back out when the flue needs cleaning again.

Wayne and his crew did an excellent job doing a complete rebuild of my 73 year old chimney. His bid was the only one that told me about the code that requires it to be replaced all the way down to the attic floor-not just above the roof.
On time, efficient, professional and well -priced. Excellent clean up too. Highly recommend.

They did a very nice job on our chimney rebuild. When Bruce estimated the work, he noted that more of the chimney needed to be rebuilt (and correctly so) than the other companies had, yet Emerald City remained competitive on price. When we felt one portion of the work was not done as we had anticipated, they came out within a few days and made it right. We happily recommend them.

Emerald City Chimney rebuilt the upper part of our chimney. They did a great job - it looks beautiful! The whole process was very professional, from Bruce's original visit and estimate to the last clean-up. Access to our house was difficult, but the crew worked diligently and efficiently and finished on time. During the job, they decided that tuck-pointing the entire chimney was not necessary, and deducted a substantial amount from the bill, which we already thought was quite reasonable. If you have any chimney problem, we would highly recommend Emerald City Chimney!

Bruce has been cleaning our chimney for 12 years and he always does a great job. He’s always on time and super friendly! We wouldn’t want to use anyone else for our service!

Bruce came and persisted to resolve a difficult issue with my wood stove that was not drawing properly. He did a beautiful job that involved time and effort. I really appreciated how he handled everything and left it spotless. I couldn't have asked for better service.

They were quick to have someone out to give a quote, great with scheduling and getting us on the calendar quickly because we were leaking. Some recent strong winds tore the cap off my chimney. Called around to a few places and Emerald was the most responsive and could get me in the earliest. While they were booked out a few months, I was able to get an estimate for the repairs pretty quickly and then a cancellation opened up for the work to be done. All in all, I only had to wait about a month to get everything fixed, which is great considering it’s fireplace season and no one else had avails until 2026. Emerald also did a chimney inspection when the repair took place and (amazingly) said I didn’t need a cleaning, which would’ve been incremental. I appreciate that kind of honesty and integrity! Everyone at Emerald — from the office staff to the estimator to the repair crew — was lovely. Will absolutely make them my first call for any future fireplace maintenance / repairs. Highly recommend!
