The electricity went out in our garage, which meant the refrigerator, garage door, water heater and other outlets didn't work. I called Dual Serve in the morning and Ben was out within a couple hours. He trouble-shooted our problem (one of the GFCI outlets tripped - hidden behind some things) and then proceeded to check all the outlets in the garage as well as outside to make sure there wouldn't be a recurring problem. Ben was very courteous, thorough, and I would highly recommend this company for any electrical needs.

I've never worked with Dual Serve Electric before, but I can't imagine going anywhere else for my electrical needs. They are 100% professional, on time, helpful and affordable! I received 4 bids for my home project, and two other companies estimated 2 people for 2 days. Ben had my project done in a number of hours and the work is of the highest quality. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Portland/Vancouver area.

Our experience working with Dual Serve to remove knob-and-tube wiring from two floors of our 100 yr old house, allowing us to get attic insulation, was excellent! Ben is very sharp and started with a discovery process tracing out all the circuits in our house across 3 generations of wiring. By the end of this process he knew exactly where all the knob-and-tube circuits were located giving us a clear picture of the scope of work, the extent of wall damage we could expect and most importantly a realistic bid (which was very reasonable). No other electrician we hired did this. Ben was on time every day for 4 days and had previously committed to full days until the job was complete. He was methodical and thoughtful as he progressed through the project and found clever ways to route wiring to minimize the need to open up walls (all the wall damage was 4 inch access holes in various places near or on the ceiling). We had agreed in the contract that we would do the wall patching ourselves which worked out well. We were extremely pleased to find a GOOD contractor which can be hard some times, Ben is as good as they get. If you live in the Portland area and need to deal with knob-and-tube, or just need a good electrician, I would 100% go with Ben and Dual Serve.

Ben Lipe of Dual Service was very professional, prompt, an excellent communicator, and he came up with a solution that saved me several thousand dollars. I needed a Level 2 charger installed and he was able to do it without a panel upgrade, which everyone else said was necessary.
