Great experience with McCarthy Electric. I hired them to install wiring for EV charger at my old house. It needed panel replacement as well since my old panel was from the 60's. John gave a competitive estimate that was better than others and were ready to start the job immediately. I hired them after comparing them to others and because of their excellent reviews. Their service did not disappoint and they lived up to their 5-start rating.
The actual work involved extra cost but they held to their original quote and completed the work as agreed upon. I'd highly recommend them for electric work.

I have Dmitriy Vandyuk came to diagnose and fix the wire issue in my sump basin, and he finished it in one hour, very patient and professional, highly recommend him!

Had complete rewire of 1905 tube and knob house. Friday electrician wanted me to demolish all the lathe and plaster walls and ceilings. I want willing to do that. McCarthy knew how to avoid that.

Also had an apartment unit rewired

If I could give this company 1,000 stars I would. We had an incident where some overhead cable got clipped and snapped unfortunately this caused our gate to malfunction. We got in touch with McCarthy and from start to finish the experience was top notch they came out right away to look at the situation, provided an estimate and had the cable taken care of the second the material needed arrived! We were hopeful that would fix the issue but we needed the gate company out here to fix the keypads to make the gate functional again. The top notch service didn’t stop there Adam happened to be driving by and seen the gate company outside working and stopped at the property to offer his assistance, and explain what he did and check on everything.. unheard of.. again doesn’t stop there he went on to his next job after he was told they had it handled and called to make sure all was functioning properly later that evening. Seriously if you need an electrician this is the company! Thank you for the awesome customer service.

Everyone from McCarthy Electric (phone representative, estimator and electrician) were all amazing. Not good— but amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and all 3 had a strong desire to do their job well. This is a well run organization. Major kudos to the owner and/or leadership team. Their prices were not competitive— they were simply the best (job was to install Tesla wall connector). I was a bit difficult and even asked to move the location of the wall connector to a different location vs. where I originally requested during the estimate. No issues with the last minute change and the electrician handled like a true pro. Anytime I need an electrician they will be my first call. Highly recommend.

McCarthy has always been courteous, efficient, and reasonable. We've had their electricians tell us we don't need an item we requested, because there is a better/cheaper option, or a safer option, and always we come out ahead in a better state. They're always respectful and tidy. We've had them do work as small as light switch replacements and as large as generator install, and every time has been a good experience.

John was great! We had lost power in the garage overnight, and tried everything we could think of (flipping the breaker, resetting the gfci) to no avail. Of course, when he arrived it reset just fine ^^; He was very nice and replaced it anyway, walking us through the steps on how to use the new outlet.

10/10 will go back to McCarthy

No other company in the area we knew of had more years and type of experience, expertise and integrity than McCarthy Electric and Technologies. John, the consultant, who came onsite to provide an estimate was very honest in explaining to us what was needed and not needed. Every step was communicated clearly to us from the initial scheduled date and time given by the person who answered the phone, to our consultant and up to the owner Patrick. Ryann also took care and pride in providing customer service, We really appreciate all of them.

Very knowledgeable, personable, thorough and safe. McCarthy Electric is a team I can always count on. A rental property of mine went dark, the quickly identified the problem, fixed it, and gave confidence to the tenants that the fix is permanent and safe. And the cost was reasonable as well. So thankful for them. The photos are the before picture of the mess they cleaned up. Sorry no after photos but the work was great.

I bought a kiln which requires a 240v power outlet. I had two companies come out to discuss their approach and cost. Josh from McCarthy came out, did a solid assessment, discussed two different approaches and provided a bid. (Note: The other electrician I talked to did a bit of a sales job, tried to pressure me into installing same day, selling me additional services — and was much more expensive to boot!) I felt very comfortable with McCarthy’s expertise, professionalism and quote. They seem to have a very good communication flow across owner, scheduler and electrician. The install went smoothly but I needed a last minute change that I noticed at 2:30 on a Friday. I was working toward a really tight deadline and needed my kiln asap. They went above and beyond to address my issue — someone came out at 4:00ish the same day. It was a beautiful, sunny Friday, I might add. I the electrician wouldn’t accept a tip for his trouble. I would use McCarthy Electrical again in a heartbeat!

Preston was great. On time, great installation work and good at explaining electrical details. I was scheduled within 2 days of me reaching out to them for installing Tesla Charger. McCarthy is recommended for any electrical
work.

The electrician conducted the troubleshooting and correctly diagnosed the issue. He worked methodically and tested and confirmed the problem with a jumper line from one room in our house to another. He provided useful insight into our home’s wiring. I was able to confidently tackle and fix the line myself, but would not have been able to without the cost of the troubleshooting fee. I’m thankful for the honest work at a fair and agreed upon price.

Pretty much everything about working with McCarthy Electric on my backup battery project was professional and spot-on. Highlights: Patrick's clear and responsive email communications, Dan's knowledgeable and helpful technical conversations. Not sure when I'll have another large electrical project, but McCarthy Electric will be at the top of my list if I do.

Highly recommend McCarthy Electric! John came out quickly to give us a quote for the work we needed, which was more than fair. Christian, the electrician, was very professional, kind, and did a fantastic job. He even came back the next day at no charge because we discovered we needed the outlet rotated in order for our appliance to install correctly. We are very appreciative of McCarthy and happy with the results, thank you!

McCarthy electric installed a Generac whole house generator for us it was truly a great experience dealing with them from start to finish . Starting with initial estimate from John who explained all options and the best way for installation & pricing . Then Patrick was right on getting the scheduling & permitting done. The installer’s Nate & Tim from the start had the job well under control with no issues & very good at what they do also would like to mention AJ &Kyle that helped with the generator it was very heavy . This was not an easy job but no complaining from them just get in & get it done very professionally awesome job ! Great price for the project now no worries about Power outage’s ! Highly recommended this company .

Quality work and right on time electricians.

Not Good , tired for 1 yr, did not like how they Managed, owner was not in touch with Reality, on time And how he communicated was not up front.
Did not want to pay travel time in his Work vehicle, and other things. JD

Unprofessional, careless, non communicative (to the point of ignoring). It’s a business practice fueled by an incompetence that Napoleon himself would envy. Quite a sub-standard business practice by todays terms. I now go with another sub for contracting needs.

Contractor was fired due to negligence. And not finishing work. Once fired, verbally assaulted worker. And vandalized my personal Vehicle. Do not hire.

Darwin did a great job. He addressed all my concerns and even took some time to talk to our son about being an electrician. Above and beyond doesn't cover it. I will definitely be calling in the future for any electrical work.

After some remodeling, I discovered a couple of my outlets were not working. Called Live Wire and got an appointment very quickly. The electrician (Darwin) arrived at the beginning of the appointment window (not the end) so I didn't waste a lot of time waiting. He gave me a quick estimate and began the work immediately. Found the problem and fixed everything within an hour. Very professional and knowledgeable. Overall great experience with Live Wire. Highly recommended.
