Reviews of local pros in Ocean Park, Washington

Very satisfied with the quality of the work. The plumber they sent out seemed to really know his job.
-
They were fast and efficient in dealing with the pump for my well. Very impressed and grateful!
-
The plumber was friendly and in addition to the 2 new toilets he installed, he also installed a new kitchen faucet which was not on the work order. It helped that we were both Seahawks fans.
-
Great work, and friendly/professional plumber got my water heater straps on, as challenging as it was! Tiny tiny space, but got it all done!
-
Excellent service! Had a small job to re-seat a toilet and install a deep sink.
Very thorough and professional. -
Eugene Taft was our plumber 70 years ago and the family has given us flawless service ever since for wells, pumps, septic systems, etc.
-
Brand new build. Absolutely poor quality. Kitchen sink pipes leak, master shower does not turn to hot and when informed of our problems, they were non responsive and did not/have not fixed it.

Taft put in a well and then installed a new septic system they helped me with permit process , everyone was very polite and patient with the small area they had to work with I don’t think I could’ve had a better crew here , they also installed a new septic for me in 2018 and there were a few issues that came up and they were real responsive and have been helpful in my needs in these areas since 2018 thanks again Taft plumbing and staff

He was incredibly nice, fixed my problem really quick and told me what went wrong and how to avoid it in the future. I would definitely recommend taft. They were great!

Went to get a aerator adapter for a 13/16 27 male to 55/64 male 27(Kohler). Was told by the woman behind the counter they did not carry anything. I had a portable dishwasher adapter in my hand she did not even look to see the it was threaded on both the outside and inside so I needed a male to male a very common adapter. Found the correct adapter went up to the counter with the adapter I found Found out they do not take cards below five dollars. Left was going to get cash at a local store to buy the adapter but decided that taft did not deserve my business. Went to Omen the sales person got the adapter for me. Do your self a favor and shop at Omen

My experience with Taft Plumbing was awful. I am not one to leave reviews but I am writing this in hopes it will save another family some money, time and frustration. It has taken me 5 months to calm down.
I feel we have been robbed by Anna Taft. Money was demanded, services were never received and to top it off our water system was worse after receiving their “service”.
In short, I would NOT RECOMMEND Taft Plumbing for well water services.
Here’s the full story.
There’s a lot to it. But I think it’s worth the read.
We are on a well in Naselle. Our water is full of iron and we also have slight water pressure issues. There are 3 filters in our pump house that we have to swap out every couple of weeks because of the iron build up. If they get too clogged it affects the pressure in the house.
We had dealt with this for too long and wanted to finally solve all of these issues by having someone come out and replace everything/tune-up/repair it etc…no matter the cost.
We called Taft’s office (Ocean Park, WA) and were told that since we live out in Naselle it would be $100 to even come look. We said please do. A nice man named Brandon came out and explained to us that it might be the pressure tank that is causing our trouble. We may have to refill it or buy a new one (as our current one may have a leak) to solve the problem. He filled it and installed a new pressure gauge.
He also said if that wasn’t the issue it may be the starter pump control box. He couldn’t work on this portion though because it was an electrical job.
He left and told us to keep them informed of the pressure and we could go from there.
In the meantime we had great pressure for a day or two. Which I called and gave praise for. After that though, the pressure was way worse than it ever was. Sometimes we would turn on the faucet and there would be nothing. NONE. Not even a trickle.
I called Jim in the office and gave him another report. I told him how it was great for a day or two but now we have nothing. After 3-4 days of our water not being reliable (sometimes it would work & sometimes it wouldn’t) and me calling to demand help…someone finally came back.
We were not home when they visited. I happened to see the van in our area so I called the office again to ask what was going on. Jim told me our system was too robust for their capabilities but “Kinetico” would be calling us with service options (5 months, still no call). They also recommended Wadsworth Electric to inspect the control box. I called and left about 5 messages with a receptionist and never received a call back.
In the meantime, after thinking this joke of a service was going to cost me $100…I checked the mail only to find a bill for $523.19! FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for making our system WORSE. I was furious.
I was able to talk with Anna about solving this issue and she was only willing to refund $95.00. I’m not sure she understood that their “service” caused the disruption of our water flow to the house. I couldn’t have been more clear. It was awful. We felt like we were camping in our own home. So not only did we not have reliable, running water but we still had to pay $420.49.
Next step call my Dad. He’s a busy contractor who lives 3 hours away. He diagnosed the issue over the phone, came down asap and fixed EVERYTHING in FOUR HOURS!
Hallelujah I can shower!
Starter Control Box - $80
80 Gallon Pressure Tank - $693
12 Gallon Pump - $665
Misc. Supplies - $117
Travel (6 hrs.) - $510
Labor (4 hrs.) - $380
Work From My Dad: PRICELESS (Taft could have made over 2k)
She even told me over the phone that they don’t do work in Naselle…
Uuuuuuuuh then why accept customers?!
No thanks Taft. Never again. -
I had used Taft plumbing before, the plumber was pleasant but flooded my home. They took ownership of the damage. I thought to give them another try since they were honest and the plumber pleasant. However in making another appt. they were not good at returning calls since during business hours they did not answer or the one who set appt. was not available. When appt was made to assess the job, I was told that prior to the day they would give me a estimated time. No call back on estimated time. I called on the day of the appointment and was told they would get right back with me. 3hours later no call, called again and women(Kate) who stated she was responsible for scheduling, stated she could not give me a time or estimated time do to owner being on job and would not call to get one, but I was to be available for him to drop in at any time during the day. I requested a call about an hour prior to him coming and was told it was not done, that I might get a call just prior to him coming. Kate spoke with irritated patronizing tone, would ask me a question then talk over me to reinforce that she was unconcern over the inconvenience of one waiting all day, and then state she was doing all she could do to help, which was incongruent and disingenuous. Thus I waited all day only to call back one more time when no one showed up to be told at 4:50pm that he would not be showing up, but I could reschedule next week. This passive aggressive attitude by the "scheduler" does not speak well of Taft Plumbing customer service, or their ability to rise above past professional mistakes.

Not Impressed!
They incorrectly measured the distance between my well & septic leach lines causing me to have to get county inspections done.
I paid them a great deal of money & as far as I know all they did was measure & bill me. They came out twice to do so. They did no actual plumbing or well work. -
Great at installing the hot water heater that was needed, prompt service and the worker that showed up was fantastic. Afterwards was the problem. Dealing with Anna Taft. We were moving out of state shortly after the water heater was installed and informed them of this move. We asked if we could pay for the heater and services and were informed that we would have to wait for a paper bill in the mail. Fast forward a couple months later and we get a “final bill” in the mail which happened to be the first bill we received, with late charges due. After calling and trying to pay them over the phone they don’t accept credit cards. So my bank sends them a certified check with tracking and it was delivered over two weeks ago. Now we get another bill in the mail this week. I’ve tried calling, texting, and can’t get ahold of them. They have the check and won’t cash it. No idea if this is going to end in collections but rest assured I will be getting lawyer if they try and screw up my credit because they are operating on a payment system that is 30 years out of date and are lazy about making a deposit of the my payment they have in hand.

If you need plumbing help on the beach, Taft is a great way to go!
I have always been impressed by their courtesy, promptness and the quality of their work.
As a home owner I have had the pleasure of working with them a few times and each time I have been impressed. -
The team at Taft Plumbing is amazing! We had them perform the work for the addition of our master bathroom from rough-in through finish work. They told us to call them if we had any issues with the fixtures and we had a small leak from the valve in the shower after a week. They came out that day and fixed the problem. Great company, would strongly recommend!

I had major repairs that had to be addressed, figured out and fixed. They called to let me know someone would be out. After the first visit (which was to evaluate the situation), everything was fast, efficient, unbelievably clean and tidy. Two different groups. One for the outside pipes and yard work, one for the inside pipes, hot water tank etc. Extremely polite and very informative. I would personally highly recommend them for any job large or small. It was my first encounter with this business but I will always call them first for any future needs. My deepest thanks to the crew and business.

Taft plumbing has done work for me, both at my home and at work. Both times Travis arrived quickly (including fixing a sink issue first thing in the morning during the AM rush!) and was friendly and professional. When I've needed to purchase items from their retail store Anna or Clayton helped me find what best suited my needs, and when they didn't have the faucet I was looking for in stock, they ordered it for me. Wonderful small town, community supporting business.

Travis was very professional, he was on time. He was kind and courteous. Knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Thank you Travis

Fast and efficient, decently priced! The man who came in and installed a water heater for me was quick, friendly, and super polite/respectful. The office took care of everything as far as filing the permit, and was just super helpful all around!

They are very nice and do good work. Because they are good people, they are busy so you may have a small wait if it's not an urgent issue. But if it is, they make every attempt to work you in.
