These guys really came through for me. My retaining wall in my backyard failed because it was made from rotting railroad ties. This retaining wall was not only holding in my leech field but the foundation of my house which is perched on a steep hillside. John came out and gave me an estimate and was able to start work within days of approval. They then got the job fast and efficiently and exactly on budget. My yard actually now looks 100% better too and is more environmentally friendly since they not ony got rid of the raildroad ties but inserted native plants. I now have a yard full of songbirds who are giving me their stamp of approval with their presence and song. I will definitely be using their services again and update pictures once everything blooms.

Blacklotus designed and installed a landscape renovation for my back yard. The project included a paver patio, yard design and plant selection and installation. The resulting project exceeded my expectations to provide a landscape that was not only natural looking but will provide visual interest throughout the year. Highly recommend.

I am very happy with Blacklotus. They transformed by entire backyard. It was a very colabritive effort between myself, Alex and his staff. My daughter (a realator) and I maintain a list of preferred contractors and Blacklotus is on our list for any landscape needs. Awesome job!!

Black Lotus landscaping did an amazing job for us, building a patio with pavers, also helping us with some walking paths and planting some attractive plants around our property. Our yard looks so much better now. They were very professional and we would recommend them to anybody!

Puget Fence did the fence, Blacklotus Landscaping LLC did the landscaping and Panda Wood Works assembled the pergola and that was my kit I bought and that’s another story...

Sincere company! Although we have not had landscaping services by Blacklotus, if/when we do, I would choose them. Their character and what a hardworking small business strives for, they've achieved. We had an incident where one of their trucks accidentally hit our garbage can and we needed a replacement. Both the owner and his wife were responsive and understanding. It is not often that we see this level of respect these days! Hope the best for Blacklotus and their customers.

We moved into a new construction that had a few inches of topsoil in the front and a real problem in the backyard. I wanted to get 3 bids and contacted 3 landscape companies. Jon came out first and I was impressed with his knowledge, positive attitude and quick response. I had an estimate in a very timely manner.

Jon and his crew worked hard to fit us into their schedule as quickly as they could. They were a pleasure to work with—friendly, and thoughtful, they worked hard every day and cleaned up before they went home. Jon is a very good leader who works right alongside his crew.

Our front yard now has mounded beds with enough soil that the plants can stay alive with plants and trees that fit the space and look great.

Instead of being limited to a “ledge” and a hillside only accessible by jumping off of a wall, we now have a stone stairway that lands on a path winding around the hillside.

Jon has a great sense of design and was able to find an attractive solution for our needs. He’s very responsive, pleasant and competent. If we ever move and need landscaping, I’m skipping getting anyone else’s bids, as I’m confident with Jon that I’ll get a fair price and great results!

We recently completed a backyard landscaping project using Blacklotus. We removed the existing sod and mulch from the original builder, removed two trees, leveled and graded the area, installed a 500 sq ft paver patio, installed multiple raised planter beds with decorative rocks and a dry river rock creek bed for drainage, ran drip irrigation lines and installed a 20 foot wide custom trellis.

Jon, the owner, and his crew were excellent, thorough, responsive and transparent throughout the project. Jon has an excellent eye for what is possible and is very skilled at what he does. He was always transparent with timing and cost. We are very pleased with the outcome and would recommend Blacklotus for a landscaping project without hesitation.

Black Lotus did a fantastic job on our rock garden/river bed! We are so happy with their work. The Black Lotus team was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and friendly. We had excellent communication from beginning to end. Jon had great ideas to make our project unique. We will spend many years enjoying our beautiful back yard and we highly recommend them!

We have sourced multiple trees (mostly western red cedars) from the Blacklotus nursery. The first trees we sourced were 3 years ago and they are flourishing. We had such a positive experience that we purchased another set of cedars and firs last year and more cedars this year. We had a difficult time finding mature, healthy trees and Jon was able to source trees that provided the fill and privacy we were hoping for immediately. Jon is great in helping with selections based on our site properties. We are grateful for both his expertise and focus on native plants.

We had the Enhancement team out to clean up our planting areas. They were great. The guys at Blacklotus are helpful, reliable, reasonably priced and very good at what they do. We highly recommend.

Worked with Jon and Tess on a landscaping design for a 3 acre wooded property in Seabeck. Our property was pretty much untouched and we wanted to add various elements to make it more welcoming to our family outside (garden, livestock, firepit, backyard patio, children's woodland playground). We worked with 2-3 other companies prior to Blacklotus, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else but Jon and Tessa to provide you with the exact landscape you had wished for! They are very knowledgeable about native plants, and native terrain. True professionals and outdoor artists!

Blacklotus Landscaping is the best! I had a very steep pathway in my backyard that provided the only access to the crumbling steps to the beach. Alex designed a hardscaping plan to make a walkable grade path and staircase from the backyard to the beach. The Blacklotus team created a beautiful and functional walkway and steps to the beach. It totally transformed the yard. They also built a wonderful firepit and patio so we can enjoy the views. The team was amazing! They are professional, knowledgeable, very respectful in all of their interactions. They kept me updated on the project and the crew was always upbeat and friendly as they did some incredibly hard and challenging work. The price was also lower than several of their competitors. I will continue to use Blacklotus and I strongly encourage others to contact them. You will not regret your choice.

The Blacklotus team is amazing. After years of neglect my yard needed a complete overhaul. From consult to finishing the project every step was well executed, communicated, and matched what I envisioned. Everyone was kind, honest, and excited to be doing the job and I am incredibly impressed with what they were able to do.

We live just outside of Port Angeles, WA, and we are on almost 7 acres. While most of the acreage is left in a natural state, we have a front yard plus various sloped areas as the house sits on a ridge. We grew tired of our lawn and wanted it replaced with a new planting plan that included natives and ornamentals. Additionally, we sought to “tame” the sloped areas with PNW natives but needed irrigation modified and drip irrigation run to these slopes. We also wanted to achieve a plan that after a couple years of “grow in,” will be much lower maintenance than what previously existed in the yard and on the slopes (Lots of weeds!) We asked Black Lotus for a consult, and Alex came up and visited with us. He had a good idea of what we wanted and prepared the estimate that was detailed and easy to then discuss and decide on items with them. The work, including reworking existing irrigation, was done well and efficiently by a team of people who clearly like to work together, and were good at communicating with us. Mason, Jon, and Nick were the main crew, along with Alex, and they were a pleasure to have onsite. We were very happy with the experience and the result! Without a doubt, we will be calling on BlackLotus Landscaping to help us again in the near future with other chores on maintaining our acreage!

Jon and the Black Lotus team transformed an unstable, steep, formerly ivy-covered slope into a beautiful and safe alpine rockery. They listened to our requests and gave their own expert advice, and the job was done over the course of 3 ½ very full days.

We were especially amazed at Jon’s precision rock positioning; he used a very large excavator on the top of a precarious slope to place each boulder in its spot.

We could not be more pleased, and we could not recommend Black Lotus any higher—I’d give 10 stars if I could!
