Appliance Repair reviews in Poulsbo, Washington

Outstanding! Capable, kind professional. We had a nasty electrical problem with our Jenn-Air range. Bill was persistent in getting it traced down and fixed. Very fair on price. My highest recommendation.

I have spoken with Jay a couple times now regarding my non-functioning older microwave. He has gone above and beyond in every conversation. Even though my microwave may be unfixable, I will be taking it in to him as I have the utmost faith that he will be totally honest with me and will do everything humanly possible to fix it if it can be fixed. I will call these folks first on any future problems I have with any appliance. I am extremely impressed!!

I called today for an appointment to service my front-loader washing machine. After explaining the problem with my machine, he recommended that bc of its age, it would make more sense financially to buy new then to spend the money to have him come out and tell me the same thing. I totally appreciate his honesty and will be calling them for future appliance problems.

First time home buyer. First time appliance buyer. When my family walked in Jay greeted us and was very helpful with information on the new technology available. We have never lived in a home with a septic, have always had sewer. He was very informative about the differences in the amount of water/power used etc. I would definitely recommend Bill's.

We just wanted help to decide if we needed a service call or get a new washer. We called Bill's and got great advice. We use them for service but I was really impressed with their help in this case, where it turned out we didn't need them.

Completed a very difficult repair of a washer/dryer stack in a tight location. Successful, timely and affordable. Cannot say enough good things about the work. Other companies ran away from the job; Bill’s took it on without hesitation. Now my first choice for appliance repairs! Awesome.

If you want an honest repair at a fair price, call Bill's City Appliance. It turned out my refrigerator was messed up because of a small thermostat that had failed. Bill came out and assessed the repair, fixed it quickly, and charged me a fair price. You can't beat that. Best repairman in Kitsap.

I previously purchased some appliance parts from Bill's years ago and was very happy with how helpful and thorough they were. I needed some parts for a rather old dryer that he wasn't able to get for me right away but he walked me through all of the part numbers I would need and even pointed me to somewhere I could get them faster even though it cost him a sale. I am very disappointed I couldn't support this wonderful local business for this particular issue but I will definitely be using them in the future.

Bill's City Appliance Repair is AWESOME! My freezer stopped working, I called before they opened so I left a message before they opened. They got right back to me soon after opening and fit me in that day to come check it out (I live on Bainbridge Island). Bill explained my freezer's problem very clearly but with good details. He's VERY knowledgeable! He then gave me a good estimate of repair versus replacement, and Bill knew exactly which brands were made by whom, and which ones he saw the most trouble with. The cost of their service call and diagnosis was competitive for this area. I'm putting Bill's City Appliance Repair into my Contacts and will call them with all my appliance problems in the future!

I just got off the phone with Bill's City Appliance Repair and was so pleased! Even though they let them know at the beginning of the conversation that they don't service Samsung ranges, which is what I have that needs repair, they still spent almost 10 minutes answering questions for me, including the likelihood of the range being able to be repaired, other options for service companies, recommended brands if we choose to purchase rather than repair and recommended places to purchase new. Although I don't have experience with Bill's actually doing a repair job, I can definitely rate their customer service as 5 stars!

Unable to find our house because they wrote address down wrong came 5 hrs late. No big deal what ever. Asks for cash same day to look at dryer but gets a call later asking for payment. Heard nothing for about 1.5 wks so we reach out and was told they were waiting for a piece to fix it. Ok cool. Calls day of to make appointment with you (after 10:30) and if you’re not available that day, gets pushed out a week. Gave them different number to call since the one they were calling is usually unable to answer during their hours. They did not write the phone number down or they had poor communication and continued to call the wrong number and canceled appointment because the wrong number did not answer to confirm appointment. Second go at it, got the confirmation call to correct number, waited at home all day to get a voicemail saying they can’t fix it and they won’t be coming and good luck with no explanation (meanwhile dryer is still torn apart from when they came to “look at it”) called the next day for an explanation and was told they weren’t coming because we canceled too many appointments and they don’t know if the piece they got is actually going to fix our dryer or not. So after 1.5months of going back and forth with their miscommunication and working with their schedule. We have a even more broken dryer from them “looking”at it and out $300. Call someone else.

I chose Bill's City Appliance Repair because they were local and had great reviews. We have an older model built-in refrigerator...probably over 15 years old. It would have cost over $10k to replace it with a similar refrigerator. It took almost two weeks to get an appt., but well worth the wait. As other reviewers have said, he is knowledgeable, professional, on time...etc. My refrigerator needed a part (circuit board thing) that is no longer made, but Bill was able to find someone to fabricate it. He just installed the new part and voila! Working! AND the cost to repair it was considerable less than what I was expecting. Use this business. You will not be disappointed.

Bill's has repaired our refrigerator in the past. Quickly and competently. So, I recently called and spoke with Jay about my gas oven. He explained that they don't repair gas appliance but then he went on to discuss my issue and possible reasons for it. He then took my model number and called me back about the availability of replacement parts. When he called back a short while later he told me exactly how to diagnose the problem and the relative cost of the replacement parts.
He went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend Bill's City Appliance Repair in the future. -
I have had Bill here twice to repair my 30+ year old Kenmore washing machine -Two separate issues. I was very impressed. Jay the office staff is professional and really nice. Bill was on time, did the repair, cost was fair and machine works better than it has in years. I can highly recommend this company.

True Heroes
After waiting three weeks and making countless phone calls to get repairs to my new Whirlpool refrigerator, the repair company Whirlpool assigned said they were not coming. They proved to have 34 one-star reviews, however so I counted myself lucky.
I called Bill’s City Appliance Repair in Poulsbo to see if they could make the repairs. Jay encouraged me to contact Home Depot to get action rather than spend money with them, saying that they should make it right. I couldn’t’ even get anyone to answer the phone at Home Depot so I called Jay back.
Jay was wonderful. He arranged for Bill to come and make the repairs that day. A skilled technician, Bill efficiently addressed the problems, was easy to work with, friendly, and highly professional. I was even charged less than what was quoted to me on the phone. What really makes these two heroes, though, is that Jay, on his own, called Home Depot on my behalf, explained the nightmare I was having getting repair service for my new refrigerator, and gave them my information. I had a message from the store that very day.
The next day they called and had me send them a copy of Bill’s invoice for reimbursement and scheduled someone else to come to fix the one remaining issue on the appliance. Both Bill and Jay assured me that if the store didn’t make the required repair, they’d come out again and fix it. I have never had service like this from anyone.
They were wonderful! If you have problems with an appliance, Bill’s City Appliance Repair is the place to call. -
I spoke with who I assume is the owner. He was very honest and polite when explaining he likely could not help. I cannot speak to his ability to fix appliances, but I do not think this is a person who will upsell or just try to get money out of people, which is extremely important in a business person.

I am born & raised locally & have heard good things about Bill for over 40 years. I have never had occasion to need him till recently & he was almost 2 weeks out. Not his fault, he's a one man show & he's busy. He does the very best he can. They often don't answer the phone, but it takes a message & someone gets back to you ASAP. They returned my call several times & showed up when promised. His work was very competent
and his charges were very reasonable. You won't go wrong using Bill to repair your appliances. We are thoroughly pleased. Thank you!! -
Though he wasn’t able to actually fix my Viking oven, he was super helpful talking me through how to find support and even technically troubleshoot what was wrong with the thing. He also gave excellent advice about alternatives until I could get my oven working again. Super friendly, and I will absolutely call him in the future for other appliance issues.

Bill just fixed our double ovens. He quickly identified the problem and fixed it just as fast. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He was also very considerate when working in our home. He was careful with our cabinetry around the appliance and was mindful of our carpet and hardwood when working in our house. Thank you Bill!

Jay was upfront about my 2 yr. old washer and the cost of repairing it. We decided to just purchase a new one for the amount it would cost to replace the old one. No pressure, just honest answers. Much appreciated Jay. Thank you.

Bill is a truly skilled appliance guru. We have trusted him with our Subzero service work for many years.
