Just wanna come on here and show my support for valley nursery and the owner Mr Watts. While I don’t know him personally I am encouraged to shop at his business if I ever need anything nursery minded after learning of the letter he wrote to city hall in support of freedom, diversity and the real meaning of inclusion!

I had a few minutes between appointments. Amazing place with really well organized plants and displays. There is a specific section for shade tolerant ground cover and stepables. Will definitely be going back

Very, very helpful staff with a huge selection of flowers, plants, trees, shrubs, bushes, vegetables and more. Everything you could ever need to start or add to a garden. Prices were very reasonable as well. Definitely will return.

What a fun place! All the plants I could want. Too many, in fact. This place is dangerous to my wallet.

The staff knows their stuff and are very helpful. I've been upgrading my yard and my garden here the last few years. Keep an eye out for their spring sale.

Valley Nursery has a great selection of plants, with tropical, desert and pond plants as well as northwest garden standards. They have a staffed question booth with a plant expert to give advice. I have found their staff to be always friendly and helpful.

Valley Nursery is my favorite gardening and plant store in Kitsap.

We bought a large property that needed a ton of love and a total makeover of the garden beds a few years ago. I spent a lot of time at local nurseries purchasing plants to make this property loved and beautiful and the plants from Valley have been our favorites. Their staff is friendly and knoweledgable and the selection is amazing. It's a great place to spend some time just wandering if you happen to like plants. My first stop every time we re-do a garden bed.

Plant selection is great as always! Customer service not as good as it use to be. Wrangling a toddler 4 months pregnant and trying grab a fruit tree and no one offered to bag or assist in loading don’t know if this is new normal

Valley Nursery is fantastic! Kathy Lins at Valley Nursery was the florist and day-of coordinator for my wedding. Everything was absolutely perfect. She is very create and her flowers are amazing. Their hanging baskets are absolutely perfect, they have all sorts of beautiful plants and you can tell they take their business very seriously. I would recommend them to anyone.

The most wonderful folks work here, the service and knowledge is fantastic. Inventory is usually exceptional, however prices are certainly on the high side. Especially during this time of increased market opportunity resulting from quarantine.

I stopped by because I was stumped as to why I am unable to find seeds for starting Chrysanthemums. I love this place and I have changed so much in my garden because of what I have learned here. (best veggie starts too).

They did not have seeds either and there are good reasons I discovered. In order to do want I had hoped to do for the coming year, I learned that I would have to put an 18 month plan in place, using cuttings from plants where I already know the color....or purchase flats of starts (100 in each flat) of each color I want from wholesalers. So, I have a lot to consider now that I have professional based information. Thank you Valley Nursery!

An amazing creekside location, spacious, inviting, wonderfully stocked, knowledgeable staff, very helpful and friendly. Maria and Hope are exceptionally professional and fair. This spot has everything you need to sculpt your yard into your wonderland. Warning, it is hard to leave this place!

valley is great, lots of selection and very helpful staff. They have something for everyone. The only down side is they are a bit more expensive than other places. basically don't expect to shop here without spending an average of $80 per visit.

Excellent selection. Superior Quality. Great variety. Very knowledgeable staff . I have chosen them for Best Nursery in Kitsap for the 33 years I have lived here. Really fun garden “art” and baskets .

Employees are nice. Ceramics and outdoor deco is often damaged and in poor condition, and is mostly items from aliexpress or wish priced much higher than you'll find them at the Rite Aid down the road.

Any other nursery in our area is worth patronizing over Valley Nursery, as it's owner is currently on a scorched-earth rampage on social media targeting other business owners and community members. Oh well.

My perennial go-to for healthy, gorgeous plants in any season. Incredible selection of pretty much everything you're looking for, including pottery, arches and trellises, fruit trees, house plants, and gifts in the main shop. It's a great place to mask-up and take the kids these days, as well. Teach them about a new plant and then go walk over the parking lot bridge to see if there are any salmon running in the stream.

This is an excerpt from a letter written by the owner in reaction to the town displaying pride flags during June. He signed this letter as the owner of Valley Nursery, so let it be a reflection of his business. "You think flying rainbow flags is not about politics? EVERYTHING is about politics today. What's next? BLM flags? Tribal flags?"
If Mr. Watts thinks that's a slipperly slope to be terrified of, then I question his character and don't wish to support his business. I will never set foot in Valley Nursery again.

Edit: I notice that the reply from the new owners does not say anything indicating that the prior statement is not in alignment with their values. They want me to remove it because it's hurting their business, but they won't even publicly say that their values have changed along with their ownership. Also, "new owners" just seem to be the old owner's daughter and son-in-law.
Happy Pride! [Edited June 6th 2025]
