The Laken team are our go-to partners on any hard or soft-scape adjustments to our property. We have had them put in new trees, shrubs, integrate native plants, build retaining walls, pathways, and patios at different points in time. While we often get multiple bids, Brian’s inspiration, flexibility, professionalism, and pricing lead us to continually go back to the Laken crew time and time again. From adjusting options based on budget needs to completing additional unexpected work within the pre-determined schedule, we greatly appreciate their partnership with evolving our property. What stands out the most is the care his team has with each project and those at the site. We never had to worry about getting in their way as they were incredibly kind and understanding of homeowner needs throughout the work. Everyday our home/work site was clean and even when our own kids decided to take over a pile of sand after their day was done, they integrated the trucks leftover into the final touches of the project. So, not only is the result exactly what we were looking for but the process to get there was just as enjoyable. Omar and Pepe have done the most work on our home (big kudos to them), but Bustos and the rest of the team are just as kind, professional, and fast when they've stepped in to help support on larger work efforts. Highly recommend the team!

We recently hired Brian and his team at Laken Outdoor Design & Landscaping for a complete backyard transformation, and the results exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and detail-oriented.

They began by demolishing our old, worn-out patio and replacing it with beautifully installed pavers that completely modernized the space. The craftsmanship was top-notch, with clean lines and solid work that looks built to last.

We also had artificial turf installed, and it looks incredibly natural — a great low-maintenance solution that instantly made the yard more functional and kid/pet-friendly. They added fresh bark throughout the planter areas, which gave the whole landscape a polished, finished look.

One of the standout features is the new landscape lighting. It was installed with care and truly transformed the space at night. It adds both beauty and safety, and we couldn’t be happier with the ambiance it creates.

Communication was great throughout the project — the team kept us informed, respected our timeline, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day.

Laken has handled the landscaping at my house for the last two years with numerous projects in varying degrees of difficulty and scale, and I have nothing but the highest praise for the quality of work, clear communication, and attention to detail that Laken has provided.

I initially hired Brian to provide landscaping for my new home build, which was required to pass city inspection before occupancy could be granted. Brian worked with me on the vision, design, and budget. He provided a clear outline of costs, noting what was needed versus what could wait for a later date, and most importantly stayed within budget expectations while delivering on the design. Brian also went above and beyond when the inspector mandated we needed two additional new trees (of a specific type and height), and he had them delivered and planted the following morning in order to pass inspection.

Laken has also worked on landscaping improvements over the years, including a rock feature with address numbers, building a rock swale to help reduce soil runoff, and planting a green wall for neighbor privacy which included native plant selections, placement of accent lights, and installing drip irrigation.

I am currently on Laken's monthly maintenance plan and for any upcoming projects, I only trust Laken to handle it.

I just need to post what an excellent job that Miranda from Brightview along with Jesus, Josue, Inigo and Guillermo did transforming my muddy backyard into a modern low water oasis. They installed beautiful agregate stones after removing ALL of the soggy nasty grass. They even found a drain that had somehow been clogged with mud and covered with sod. Hopefully that clears up the soggy issue. The aggregate stones they installed are beautiful. These guys were Artists deciding which shaped stone goes where, which needs to be turned slightly or flipped over. They worked well together like a well oiled machine. Friendly banter amongst them for 2 days. I do not understand spanish but it was lighthearted easy conversation. They seemed to share ideas about the project and how stones could be placed. They worked hard. Miranda dropped in twice everyday to check on things and answer questions. What a GEM she is! I am so pleased with my new backyard. Thank you Charlie and everyone at Brightview! The crew workers have lack of experience, the supervisors aren't much more knowledgeable to tell you the truth

I've now had occasion to work with Brightview on several projects, and continue to find them easy to work with and responsive to customer input and needs.

They do our HOA landscaping. When they mow the lawn, you cannot even tell as they do such a poor job. Whoever runs this company needs to check their work. I have to have someone remow the lawn each week.

Used Brightview to trim my bushes down so the trees look bigger. Turned out wonderful. Great foreman. Great Arborist. Easy billing.

Very unprofessional, all the cars on our parking lot after their service looked like they been through an off-road mud ride. Despite that this crew was asked politely prior to be respectful. We spoke to their management before and still waiting for their response.

BrightView should not be trusted in your garden. My grandmother lives in a 55+ community that is currently being deforested by these so called “landscapers”. They recently massacred her fuchsia bush with a chainsaw for what they called a “light pruning”, cut her six foot tall blueberry bush down to two feet and insisted that it was not a blueberry bush (I have eaten blueberries off that bush). They recently cut down a potted maple tree to a single branch for some reason. We will see what they kill next....
Keep these people out of your garden!

If you are looking for a landscaping service that will do the BARE BARE minimum to get the job done you have found the right place. They were hired by our HOA to perform landscaping services. They only mow the lawns that are visible from the street. When I pointed out to them that my big back yard really needed mowed, the person said that they had not gotten to that part of the neighborhood yet. When they packed up their mowers and were leaving, I stopped them as they were driving out and asked the same guy if they were going to mow my large back yard and he said they were called back to the shop. This was at 3:30 pm. Wasn't raining. I don't get it. My HOA should get some money back.

Now known as Brightview Landscape. We have never been under contract with this company, though they still charged us for a whole month of service even though we fired them the month before for poor quality landscape services and Increased prices. Then they had the balls to send us to collections. DO NOT do business with them. You will regret it as l do.
