About 4 years ago I had Chinook out for their roof soft wash (still no moss). I was impressed with them then and decided I'd try their gutter cleaning. Technicians were on time, friendly and efficient. My next door neighbors commented that the guys were very respectful and friendly - they'll be calling soon for window washing. I'm done shopping around - if they have the service I need, I'm just going to call them!

Cory Crosby arrived in the time projected to wash my windows inside and outside. I appreciate his careful attention to details leaving my windows clear and affording my house with a lot of light. He finished all of the work in a timely fashion and made sure that nothing left undone a or poorly done. He even helped me with a couple of things I couldn't personally do to return my house to order. I have and will continue to recommend Chinook Services to frieinds.

Mike did a great job on the dryer vent cleaning. It hadn’t been done since it was new. Showed me the buildup, unbelievable. We’ve had Chinook for 4 services now, and will be back for more as needed. Older couple re-feathering our nest to stay in our home as long as possible. These services are going a long way to that end.

Found 2 phone numbers for them. Both are ALWAYS busy all week long and no reply to website email inquiry (after 5 days) What gives? I guess they are really popular. Good for them, not for potential customers.

The finished job wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. I was hoping the roof and gutters would be much more free of debris than they were. One gutter still had 2 tennis balls in it, which tells me it wasn’t “hand cleaned”. Also, in the process of blowing/spraying off the roof, and in turn the hard surfaces at ground level, a fair amount of debris and dirt was blown onto and stuck to the siding and windows. I really hope the moss that’s still on the roof does in fact die off and “blow” away otherwise, I’m right back to where I started.

A 5 star performance given by Michael from Chinook Services who cleaned some of the house carpets. Carpet cleaning services from Chinook involves several stages: Vacuuming, spot care if needed, then actual cleaning machine, and finally, "raking". The 30+ years old carpets looked brand new when he was finished! He was on time, had excellent equipment, and was friendly when he arrived and left. Great service!

TLDR; only use this service for a move out clean if you are okay with *extremely* (2-3x) inflated costs of service for work that is not any better, and in some ways worse, than what the rest of the city can provide.

I booked a move out cleaning for October 26th, 2024. I should have noticed one of the early red flags, that they tried to rush me to book an appointment over the phone without trying to give me any sort of price quote until I stopped them and asked for it. They quoted a price of about ‘90 an hour’, which sounds reasonable enough for professional cleaning. They also quoted an estimated cleaning time of “probably 10 hours, though it could be quicker or longer”. That seemed a bit high given the small square footage, but I didn’t worry since it was just an estimate. They informed me if they needed to, they’d be ready to come back the next day to finish the job.

I was late to let them in, and they made sure to call me when they arrived to let me know they would start the billing clock now while they waited. Fair enough, not unfamiliar with businesses enforcing strict payment for allotted times.

The cleaning itself was relatively uneventful, other than them forgetting to do a blinds cleaning even though that was booked explicitly as an add on for the service (they didn’t bill for this so not really an issue on its own). The team finished in under 5 hours, and told me to consult the website to handle billing.

To my surprise, the bill stated it was for almost 15 hours of service, with the total well over 1000 to clean a small 1 bedroom unit. When I told them about this mistake, they told me it was because they actually bill for *manhours*, and since it was a team of 3, that meant it took 5 * 3 = 15 hours. I had checked all the statements in emails and their website beforehand, they conveniently never used this word nor implied nor stated that this is how their service is calculated.

In the end, I paid 2-3 times what basically every other cleaner in the whole city would charge (I know from experience + asking around for quotes), for a cleaning that only technically hit the minimum criteria (they actually forgot to clean one of the window frames, but I did not feel it worth risking them coming back to fix it and hit me with another unnaturally high fee), and they made sure to avoid bringing up this fact at every point in the process.

Combine that with all the quirks and restrictions they had (they would not accept using any provided cleaning resources, which is fair since that’s probably due to insurance + safety concerns), not cleaning anything they can’t reach with a tiny stepstool and short extension arm, charging for individual wall cleaning, and you have something that only barely counts as satisfactory. Given how secretive they are about their pricing structure, they seem to know all this and bank on people not digging deep enough into the costs ahead of time, otherwise the obvious lack of value-for-cost would become apparent.

Did a great job and were more affordable than other options we looked at. Cleaners were very friendly and great with my toddler.

We had 3 cleaners come early in the day and took about 4 hours to deep clean our house. Was very impressed with almost everything! The only thing that didn’t seem to be clean or bleached is the shower and bath. It seemed like they only rinsed it down, but everything else was sparkling clean!
