Ozzie and his talented team transformed our backyard into a complete outdoor oasis! Christine's creative design ideas shaped our project, and their crews brought it to life. Their quality of work is top notch from hardscaping to sod installation to our firepit & water feature. We've appreciated their can-do attitude, constant communication, and professionalism. When things didn’t go as planned, Oz and team were fantastic to partner with and they adjusted on the fly and found creative ways to stay within budget.

I was dreading having my front yard and deck re-done because it's a big project and I really didn't want to manage multiple contractors and designers and the whole thing.

Thankfully I was lucky to find Oz and company who not only handle everything but do an amazing job at everything too. They designed a complete redo of our front area but did such an amazing job that I'm still stunned its ours!

From the moment we started talking to them they were quick to respond, friendly, and professional. They spin up a slack channel for you and our designer Christine worked with us to architect a truly impressive and incredible outdoor space.

The craftsmen who did the stone work and wood work were impeccable. As with all projects there were hiccups, but Oz and his team were on the ball about them all, often times being the ones who found the issues and raised them first! In the end we were on budget, on time, and our outdoor space is something our family is going to treasure for many years to come.

Do not snooze on Oz! It is absolutely worth it!

We recently worked with Outdoor Design by Oz to complete a outdoor patio project where we wanted to completely redo the patio flooring. My husband and I went into this not really knowing what we wanted, but knew we were unhappy with our current patio. Christine and Oz were great in helping to take our rather high-level and disorganized thoughts around what we were looking for, and turned it into a design that we both really liked (which is not an easy task!)

From there, we moved forward with the tech, on-site review to finalize the details, materials, space, etc., then they kicked off the work. Both Oz and his teams that executed the work were very efficient, friendly, and engaging throughout the process. They worked extremely quickly and efficiently, and had the project done ahead of our original target completion date. For the most part, I was able to work the entire time with limited interruption from them, only pinging when they had critical decisions needed.

All in all, it is very difficult to find trustworthy and high quality contractors for home improvements given the hundreds of companies. We've had bad experiences in the past, and we're happy that we have their team to go back to for any future projects outdoors. We are already thinking through another landscaping project for the backyard that we will likely partner with them on in May 2025. 5 star resort in my backyard - I have recommended my designer, Christine and my project manager, Renato, to everyone I know. I had no idea what I wanted when I called her. She had great questions about how I wanted to use the yard and what was important to me. She came back with an amazing design at a very reasonable cost. Their communication was timely and professional and the project was completed on time and on budget. I am in my backyard year round now and it has become the neighborhood "bar." The best money I have spent on my house.

We used Outdoor Design by Oz to redo our townhome yard. After an initial inquiry, Kevin & Christine came to our house to understand the space, our needs and budget. They identified improvements we hadn't considered, explained how each improvement would impact the design and budget, and didn't pressure us into any improvements we weren't interested in. Once we had a design we were excited by, the crew Paulo and Bennie quickly made that design a reality and transformed our blackberry forest into a usable yard. It feels like we added a whole new "room" to our home, and use the yard exponentially more than we have before. We'd definitely use Outdoor Design by Oz for any future outdoor projects!

We just completed our second project with Oz - Two years ago, they transformed our weed-prone backyard and replaced it with a beautiful stone patio and fire pit (which we use often!). Our backyard has become our extended family's go-to place as it is very COVID friendly, lots of space and room. Most recently, in the front of our house, our cracked concrete driveway/walkway has been beautifully updated to a HUGE stone driveway and new stone backlit stairs leading up to a new deck to our front door. I had a back yard with crumbling rocks. Christine and Oz came out, worked with my ideas and brought my yard to life. The workmanship, the crew, including Nick was outstanding. My yard turned out better than I expected. I would highly recommend them. They are an amazing team.

Christine and Oz of Outdoor Design by Oz were professional, timely, communicative and engaged from start through finish - and beyond. They aren't a company you use when you seek the cheapest way to get a job done, but one you hire to get a job done well and one time, and one to actively work with you as things come up during the construction. Their work crews were polite and respectful.

Our project was not exciting: a 50-foot retaining wall plus fence, with a wrinkle of removing bamboo the previous homeowner had mis-planted (never plant this evil weed!) in proximity to a shared, clay sewer line.

By removing the bamboo, relocating a large pot, and then filling in those spaces with similar paver stones, Oz effectively doubled our usable space in our small, Seattle back yard. We plan to add some additional outdoor seating so the whole family can gather instead of 2 people at a time and get many years of enjoyment from the project (not that the wall and fence are exciting on their own).

Mario and the Design by Oz team did an excellent install of a retainer wall and vinyl fence! They were diligent and professional, explaining the work they were doing and the structurally sound aspects they added throughout the build to make sure our fence lasts. Additionally when first working through what the project would look like, Christine had a great eye for aesthetics and symmetry to add a crisp finish to the design. Oz and everyone was great at communicating, answering our questions, and keeping us up to date on the project. Thanks to the team for the great work!

We loved their online portfolio and came to Ozzie, Owner, with a very complex large and tall retaining wall project for our backyard. We enjoyed working with their team so much that after our backyard was completed, we signed on to do our front yard and driveway with them!

After our initial meeting with Ozzie and Christine, Designer, they knew right from the get-go that our project will need to go through the 3-6 month permitting process with the City of Seattle. They also let us know early on that a structural engineer, geotech, and site surveyor were needed and they would be handling the coordination process. We felt confident in signing the contract after our meeting since they were detailed in explaining the entire process to us from design conception, permitting, to construction.

Christine came to us with fantastic designs, while making our challenging backyard as usable as possible with the large retaining wall. She listened to our needs, made design adjustments to fit our lifestyle, and also stopped us from making decisions that would not benefit us (very important!). She quickly turned around updated drawings and renderings and gave us great suggestions on where to shop for materials to create our desired look and feel for our backyard.

Ozzie got us through permitting smoothly and we were ready to start construction! He and his team were amazing throughout the entire process. We encountered several material delays that were outside of anyone's control and he was very communicative on timelines while we waited for things to arrive. Ozzie and his team were very accommodating to making adjustments during the construction process to make sure we got things built exactly as we envisioned like pattern layouts, tile layouts, and lighting placement. We loved their craftsmanship and our project turned out beautifully!

Our patio and landscaping project by Legacy Landscapes was done with great professionalism, expertise, and personalized care for us. It is a beautiful and functional showpiece of our home and we enjoy it all the time! The team showed up and worked hard every day, and we were always in the loop about the progress. We could not be more pleased or more grateful for the team at Legacy Landscapes!

We selected Outdoor Design by Oz for design, demolition, hardscape, construction, and lighting services to renovate and transform our Queen Anne cottage.

In short, a great process led to a great outcome! Specifically:
- The “art”: superb design sense on how to employ space, texture and materials. New living spaces were created in front and back of property. Project teams were skilled, professional and gracefully adapted to plan changes that inevitably evolve when re-working a 100+ year-old structure.
- The “science”: strong project management and communications (phone, Slack, on-site). Skilled craftsmen for hardscaping, masonry, and carpentry.

Overall, the project greatly improved access, utility and curb appeal; the homeowner (and the neighbors) were both very satisfied!

Baxter was responsive by text and gave me a thorough rundown of what he could do to prep my yard for the winter when gathering info for an estimate. The dump run ended up being more than he charged me for, but he didn’t ask me to make up the difference! I’ll definitely hire them again and couldn’t recommend highly enough for knowledgeable professional yard work! They were flexible and easy to communicate with from start to finish. 👌🏽👌🏽
