I was looking for a backup power system for my house due to numerous winter power outages ranging from 4-24 hours. Because of close house spacing and small yards(noise), I decided against natural gas powered generators. As I researched solar system battery storage systems, the PowerWall 3 came out. I did not want solar panels but it had the storage and power output that would give me 24 hours of backup. The Artisan electricians were here 2 days. A lot of intricate installation work was needed. They did such a professional job. Answered my questions. Did an excellent clean-up. Everything worked perfectly. I just did a test taking the house off-grid and it powered the house for 30 hours(spring-time). Artisan has answered all my questions and I am confident it will work great in the next winter.

My new solar panels installed by Artisan have been up and running for three weeks. I'm very pleased with the entire process from quoting, to installation and permitting, PSE activation, and final walk through. The Artisan team made it very easy for me. Even though I got a late start on deciding to get solar panels they were able to schedule me in quickly during a very busy time (my project was smaller than most).
After talking to a few other installers I got a recommendation to talk to Artisan. On their website I saw that they use union electricians. I figured that would make them more expensive, and I was willing to pay a little more to support the union, but in the end it was actually less expensive. I also appreciate that the panels they used are manufactured in the US.
I love looking at my app each day to see how much excess power I generated and sent back to the grid!

We had a wonderful experience with Artisan Electric. The sales team was fully available and gave us all the information we needed without overwhelming us with a 2 hour meetings. Their quote was for a larger system for way less money than competing companies. Our system is working very well! By April we already have negative power bills and our rebate is back from our federal taxes. The installation happened on time in December. The installers are union workers who were efficient and respectful. I would highly recommend this company if you are interested in getting Solar panels!

When building our new home we decided to go as environmentally friendly as possible. Solar power was the way we wanted to go and we were very lucky to have Artisan Electric do the work. They were very patient as they had to work with and around our building contractors time frame. Any questions or issues were responded to quickly. The county inspector approved of the company as good and competent to work with and even an employee told us they are the best in the business. Our system has been running now for a couple of weeks and it has been exciting to see the power generated from our solar panels.

My father and brother were both licensed and bonded commercial/residential electricians. Both now gone, I was without the breadth of knowledge and experience and care they provided me for all things electrical. Who should I call now for residential service? With great, good fortune Artisan Electric proved to be a very fortuitous resource. They are a union shop (yay!), utterly professional, organized and extremely knowledgeable. My team showed up exactly when I was told they would. They took time to explain their methodologies and didn't mind one whit tackling all of my questions. They were actually fun to be around! This business is a class act and I am very thankful for its existence and you will be too.

Artisan did a great job installing our solar panels. We had a Tesla battery back up installed so we won't run out of power during an outage. We talked to a friend of ours who had their panels installed by Artisan & they were very satisfied w/ their work. We are happy w/our install. Can't wait to see our 1st bill from PSE. Love looking at the app & seeing how much energy we are storing up for winter. Everyone was great to work with & explained how it all worked. We had some trouble w/the battery & found out it needed an upgrade but it's working fine now. We would highly recommend them.

Loved the enthusiasm for solar from Artisan. They took the time for me to understand what we were getting and also took the time on the other end helping us get the app set up so we can see our energy production.

The folks at Artisan are great: They are knowledgeable, communicative, skilled, efficient, and fun to have around. They clearly enjoy the important work they are doing. We bought solar panels from Artisan for our house in 2013 and then had them upgraded (by Artisan) in the summer of 2024. The project all went according to plan and we are back up and running with panels that are 25% cheaper than in 2013 and that produce 41% more energy. The new app for tracking solar production (Enlighten/Enphase) works great and is lots of fun to work with. Considering the tax incentives, solar panels are now a smart investment not just a donation to the fight against global warming. We did have some challenges with getting some of the union rebates but again the Artisan crew figured it all out and we got our rebates. I highly recommend Artisan. If you have a nice southern exposure, solar panels are for you.

I've always been taught to leave a place better than you found it. Installing our new solar system is a small part we can do to help reduce our carbon footprint. But if you are reading this, you already know that.

For our project, we contacted several companies. Some companies used the "time-share condo sales approach" others just gave a verbal quote over the phone. Others just looked at satellite images and emailed us their proposal. Artisan Electric did not do any of these poor customer service methods.

When I contacted them, they were out to the house within a few days. They took detailed measurements and gave us an initial proposal on the spot. Then they went back to the office to adjust their initial proposal to reflect their site visit and measurements for a revised proposal. All along the way, we were kept informed. Their communication was top notch. When we signed the contract and arranged for the solar loan (they were able to negotiate a better rate for us) we were on the calendar for the install.

Before the actual install week (it took about 4 days to do our project) their job foreman came out to inspect the site as well so that he was aware of any possible issues. The crew were on time and very professional. Their workmanship was extremely neat and professional. After everything was installed their foreman was on site for the city inspections (mechanical and electrical). All passed without any issue. Lastly our salesperson came back out for the final walk-through. He went over the entire system and answered any additional questions. I wish all contractors can take a lesson from Artisan on customer service. I highly recommend Artisan.

Overall, it was a pleasure to work with Artisan. They were very responsive to my questions and addressed all my concerns throughout the entire process of my project. Moreover, they were not pushy and did not speak poorly about their highly rated competition. I truly feel like a part of the Artisan family and give them my highest recommendation.

My only complaint is that there are several people involved throughout the process. Besides the salesperson, I would prefer to have one point of contact for any questions or concerns.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Tyler and Artisan Electric, and I can say without hesitation that they are the best electrical, solar, and energy company I've ever encountered. The project started with the replacement of our old electrical panel with a SPAN panel. Artisan Electric then upgraded our entire service to 125 amps and took care of upgrading one of the circuits and the wiring throughout the house to power our HVAC system.

We interviewed several companies before finally deciding to get our solar roof. Some of the companies were much bigger than Artisan and it was like being sold a used car. Thomas was our Artisan sales person and he was clearly the nicest with a no pressure but very informative approach. The installation was very quick and clean. Today the sun is out and bouncing off the panels. We have been banking credits in the winter months.

I found Artisan Electric when I was looking to add batteries to my existing solar installation. I ultimately chose Artisan as my installer due to their outstanding reviews and honesty. Thomas was fantastic to work with and he helped me better understand my system, its capabilities and its potential for expansion. The installers that came on site were also amazing and communicated what they were doing and why every step of the way.

Since the company that installed my solar panels initially is no longer in business, I will be using Artisan for any repairs needed going forward.

The Artisan team did a wonderful job with our solar installation. From the initial contact to the final walk-through everyone was professional and courteous. The pricing options were clear and they did exactly what they said they would, when they said they would. It's a well-oiled machine! We're very happy with the results and would happily recommend them (we already have).

Installation 42 panels, two Tesla powerwall 3 and a Tesla backup switch. I did a little bit of an overkill, I use a lot of power. I also added a Cybertruck to powershare with the house if needed. I am retired union so this also support union workers.

The Artisan Electric Team was outstanding from initial consult to final installation. They completed the project ahead of schedule and left the worksite as they found it! They even brought their own Porta-potty. Our Electric bill is now next to nothing! The system worked flawlessly during two power outages!

We had solar panels installed on our roof in July, and I have nothing but praise for Artisan Electric & Solar. First, Tom came out with a drone that he flew over our house to take photos so the placement of the panels could be designed. There are panels on the south side and east side (back) of our house - see photos. The installation took 2 days, and the crew was excellent! Professional, neat, quiet, efficient. My neighbors were impressed with their work. They were on my roof during the 2 hottest days of the summer and did not complain! (I got them extra water and Gatorade.) The electrical work was done well and safely - and it all passed inspection with Seattle City Light, no problem. We did have a little connection problem that Artisan responded to immediately, trouble-shooted, and we were back in business. I love the Tesla App where I can see how much energy the panels are generating, how much is being used by my house and how much is going back to the city. What a thrill! It's fun to watch the electrical meter run backwards! And the Tesla Inverter on the side of our house is not an eye-sore at all. (See photo.) Thanks Artisan!

Artisan Electric did an amazing job from start to finish on my solar and Tesla Powerwall 3 project.

Nikeem took the time to understand my goals, walked me through every step, and made sure my request to use all six Tesla Powerwall 3 MPPTs was built into the design. Nikeem helped me not just during sales but from start to finish. He was exceptionally responsive during end to end process.

Isaac, my Project Manager, refined the first design using my feedback to fully optimize performance and layout. He kept everything on schedule.

Alex handled all PSE net metering approvals quickly and efficiently — getting my project fully approved in record time.

Cameron was fantastic with financing. He coordinated seamlessly with my bank and the vendor, ensuring every document and payment went smoothly.

Nick and his crew delivered a very professional installation — neat, detailed, and patient in explaining how everything worked.

Finally, June went above and beyond during final interconnection. He hardwired my Powerwall’s internet connection for better reliability and walked me through all the readings in the Tesla One and Tesla apps.

Making the decision to add a solar installation to my residence was a daunting challenge. So many details, so many issues that can go wrong. I vetted six different contractors. I had very specific design criteria. I wanted the solar panels to be mounted in a way that they wouldn’t be easily seen from the ground; I wanted the storage batteries to be installed in my basement utility room; and I wanted two systems, one to provide electricity for the house, the other for the heat pump – independent of each other; finally, I wanted to integrate this with my propane powered generator. I placed the high level of importance on quality of work, and aesthetics. Finally, I wanted to make certain I was receiving a reasonable bang for my buck, as there seems to be too many less than honest/competent operators in this field. I chose Artisan Electric for my project, and I was very pleased with the outcome. They are locally based electrical contractors that were willing to work with me and address the areas that I felt were important. They showed good commitment to their work, the installation is professional, looks good, and they did a good job cleaning up When they were finished. I would highly recommend Artisan Electric to anybody who’s considering adding solar to their business or residence.

After getting 3 quotes to have solar panels installed, I went with Artisan. Jeff Bennett did such a thorough job of walking me through all the details, process and calculations to meet our energy needs. We replaced the roof first, and they connected with the roofing company directly to insure the proper decking was installed on the areas where the panels were being installed. Install was quick and the team was so professional, great attention to detail, and left my yard clean. The Project Manager walked me through the options of where to run the power down to the box to ensure I was pleased with the location and path! I felt an extra sense of comfort knowing the electricians were highly qualified IBEW members! The inspection went perfect with Seattle Light.
We enjoyed working with Jeff and team at Artisan, we recommended them to our friends and they went with them as well!
We are now happily generating power, reducing our carbon footprint and love tracking it all on the Enphase APP.
