I cannot recommend Artisan Electric enough for anyone looking to install solar. From start to finish, this was a seamless experience.
The process was transparent from day one. Their pricing was not only fair but the best among the quotes I received, and they clearly conveyed exactly what went into that cost. I really appreciated the clear communication regarding the timeline; they kept me updated at every step, from the first payment all the way through receiving the "permission to energize" from PSE.
The installation crew was fantastic. The technicians were prompt, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented. They took the time to answer all of my questions easily and were respectful of my home. They kept the worksite clean and left the property exactly as they found it.
Now that the system is running, it works flawlessly. As a homeowner, I find the setup very easy to understand and use. If you want a professional organization that delivers on their promises, go with Artisan Electric. -
Great company to work with for residential solar installs. I picked artisan for our solar in 2025 to take advantage of the expiring tax credits. I solicited bids from five different companies. Artisan was competitive with the others, they use union labor which I liked, and they have a significant commercial operation. I wanted to make sure I picked a company that would endure sunsetting of the tax incentives with a strong commercial operation. I have to say that even in the stressful time of installing in 2025, they were very responsive, the installers were pleasant and efficient, and now I have a great solar system on our house and garage.

We installed an amazing array with Artisan Electric. It's been seamlessly cranking away for several months now without us having to raise a finger. Communication could have been a bit better during the installation process, which is the only reason this isn't a five-star review. I know they are working on that. This is the second array I have installed over 11 years. I always wonder up front if I am going to have buyer's remorse. It has never happened. I love having solar on the house and being able to run unlimited amounts of AC over the summer while still pumping huge amounts of power back onto the grid. 9/10 recommend, which, these days, is pretty good.

We hired Artisan to install solar for our home. What we loved were the people, quality friendly individuals that I trusted. I also loved how quickly they were able to install (1 day!) and the electrician was great. Some of the trouble spots were getting communication a day or two after a phone call or email, this delayed powering on the system by 2 days and one of the workers smoked which I didn’t care for. Overall it was a positive experience and now we are looking to hire them for an EV charging install. I love that they are local and union workers!

Had them out for a free solar assessment, was not a fan of the high pressure sales tactics, pushing the tax credit potentially going away at the end of the year and urging that I sign before September 1. Their pricing seemed fair compared to the other quotes I received, but ultimately went with A&R due to their professionalism and educational approach.

Artisan incorrectly installed our Generac generator months ago. It drained the battery and the generator cannot start up. We were without the generator during the last power outage. We have been leaving voicemails and emails to try and schedule an appointment for the fix. Radio silence.

If there’s one thing Artisan Electric has truly mastered, it’s how to stretch a simple charger installation into an eight-month masterclass in delay, deflection, and denial.
I had my Tesla Gen 2 Wall Connector installed in April (inspection finally completed in June, after multiple follow-ups). From day one, the charger couldn’t connect to the Tesla app or Wi-Fi. Instead of taking ownership, Artisan immediately passed the buck to Tesla and has spent the next several months “looping me back” to the same Tesla support team that hasn’t fixed a thing.
Every month or two, a new name enters the conversation each one eager to “help,” only to drag things out, entertain for a few weeks, and then hand it off to the next person in line. In this long journey of eight months, I’ve worked with everyone from front-line customer service all the way up to someone who claimed to be the president of the company and remarkably, the behavior and outcome have stayed exactly the same.
For context, I originally had a Gen 1 charger that worked perfectly. Artisan’s rep convinced me to “upgrade” to Gen 2 for more features and flexibility. Turns out, the only thing flexible here is the timeline for not resolving anything.
If your company installs chargers known to have active bugs or doesn’t even bother to check before recommending them that’s not “green energy innovation,” that’s just bad business. And if you genuinely weren’t aware, then congratulations, you installed a faulty product. Either way, the customer loses.
At this point, I’d gladly donate the charger back to Artisan as a token of appreciation for how effectively they’ve turned a straightforward install into a months-long endurance test. All I ever asked for was accountability and timely support instead, I got finger-pointing, recycled excuses, and complete indifference.
In short:
• Zero ownership.
• Zero accountability.
• Zero progress.
• 100% blame-shifting.
If you value your time, sanity, or basic customer service, avoid Artisan Electric at all costs — unless you enjoy endless email chains and a rotating cast of “support specialists” whose only consistency is doing absolutely nothing. -
Artisan installed a system for me several years ago and were great to work with during the install, but I have to say the after care is far from acceptable after paying $50k +… I have called several times for system
Issues and have never received a call back even when they said they would. After reading the recent reviews, seems as if the company is going down hill. Hope they figure it out. For now I will be receiving system service from another local company.
