Home Services reviews in Spokane Valley, Washington

So far I have been impressed with Lawn Doctor of Spokane. I spoke to Ken last Friday who provided me with a ton of advice for my lawn prior to any payment. Nathaniel just came by today for the first treatment and he also provided pointers on watering and overall lawn care. So far so good! 5 STARS..

Nathan, with Lawn Doctor, came by our house this morning for another fertilizer application. He let me know the fertilizer mix and what he wanted to accomplish.
Nathan is an excellent technician. He is not only knowledgeable but very friendly. We also talked about watering schedules as we move into warmer summer days. I’m impressed that he goes about his work as if it were his lawn!
Lawn Doctor is priced right with “top flight” technicians. Our lawn looks great! -
10 out 10 would recommend using this lawn care team! I have been using them for my lawn care needs for 2 years now and it has made a big difference from when we started. They are honest, and helpful not just trying to sell you products or services you don't need. They have easy payment plans so that it's very simple to budget with no surprise hidden fees.

Have had these folks now for 3 years couldn't be happier. The grandson referred me to them, being in the business himself. They are the best for the buck!! Their lawns are always WEEDLESS AND GREEN!! First picture needed to be mowed second picture first mow of the season! Love it so cushy and soft!

Zak & Colby always show up bright and early and are extremely quick and quiet. They always make sure to latch the gate when exiting our backyard and leave our doggies treats on the front door. Thanks, guys. We appreciate you! Our lawn is GORGEOUS!

Lawn Doctor performed an aeration and overseeding service I never requested, never approved, and never confirmed — then blamed me for not canceling something I never agreed to. They refused to correct my bill and have since ghosted me. It’s a shady and dishonest way to do business, plain and simple.
They texted me several times asking when I wanted the fall aeration and when my sprinklers were marked. I never marked my sprinklers and never agreed to the service; therefore, I never responded saying I was ready. I even asked if this was an add-on service and never agreed to it or confirmed I wanted it — because I didn’t. Despite that, they showed up and did the service anyway. They didn’t move the swingset or trampoline, leaving about a third of my backyard untouched, and they aerated right over unmarked sprinklers that could have been damaged.
When I texted to dispute the charge, they insisted it was my fault for not canceling — even though I never scheduled it in the first place. Almost three weeks later, the owner left a voicemail saying he would fix the bill “to keep me as a customer,” but he still has not corrected the bill, and they have since stopped responding. The charge remains due. That’s not just bad service — it’s unethical business practice.
Their regular lawn care is fine, but performing unapproved work, risking damage to customer sprinklers, refusing to fix a clear billing error due to unapproved services, and ghosting the customer crosses the line. Based on other reviews, this appears to be a behavioral pattern when customers have disputes — not an isolated issue. I strongly urge potential customers to read their negative reviews and see for themselves how this company operates. Look at their BBB rating as well. -
I am not one who typically writes bad reviews about a company but felt this was needed as a warning to other people who are potentially thinking about using their service.
Lawn Doctor hit our building with their mowers in several areas causing damage to our siding (see photos). I called the office and they gave me the owners number who assured me they would make it right. I offered to meet him so he could inspect it and he said he was to busy and asked that I send him pictures which I did. Following that interaction I called him numerous times and emailed him repeatedly of which very few were returned. When he would return my messages he always put me off as being to busy but always assured me he would do what's right. In the meantime I got a quote from a siding company on what would be the cheapest and easiest way to fix the problem. I was not looking for an upgrade or a new siding job, just a fix to bring it back to what it was prior to them damaging it. I learned way more about the siding on my building than I ever wanted to and did the leg work he really should have been doing just to try and help things along.
Finally, at the end of the mowing season, the owner reached out and said his guy did not do the damage and they would not be fixing it. Mind you, he has never even inspected the damage which I tried to do with him multiple times.
So, in conclusion, while their prices are below average please know you get what you pay for. Their quality is below average (which I didn't even go into but will put a few photos up) and will cause thousands of dollars in damage to which they will be unresponsive and finally when the season is over refuse to do what's right.
If you choose to use their service.....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! -
We have had Lawn Doctor for several years now. They are no nonsense with text information confirming if upcoming service is alright with the home owners. They are always consistent and thorough. Speaking with the office staff is always a delight...very professional and kind. We have no plans of changing to another company. We have had other companies...big names...and they do not compare.

Wish I could give a 0 star! Bought 2 bags of organic dirt for my pots and it had bugs & wood chip's inside, plus the dirt wasn't able to keep moisture like it says... worst buy ever and the one person I got to finally help me didn't know a thing about gardening, took 10mins to find someone. Plants are over watered too. Buy at a real Garden Center may be pricey but at least you get what you pay for unlike this place. BTW your workers inside the store need to take the hose and clean themselves! smells like s*** in the store it's self.

The State of Washinton paid these folks over $10,000 to help find me a new apartment. I was treated with disrespect and even yelled at many times. The person paid to find me a new place was the worst liar. She told me I would not be homeless and would be put in tempary housing until a new apartment was found. Also I was told my belonging would be moved and put into storage until the new apartment was found. When the time came, I had double pneumonia and none of these things happened. I am 74, disabled and for the the first time in my life I am homeless. I lost most of my lifetime possessions. What a bunch of grifters! Be smarter than me...do not trust them.

We highly recommend Jerry and Lush Spray Service for all your lawn care needs! Fantastic service!
-
I contacted Lush at noon. Jerry was able to come out at 1pm. He gave me a quick quote, and was able to perform the ant extermination all within 30 minutes. Reasonably priced, quick service. Highly recommend Lush!

Jerry has been taking care of my lawn for the past couple years and has done a great job. It is greener and thicker than it has ever been, easily the greenest on the block. Jerry is timely, reliable and always has a tip or two for us in between treatments. Highly recommended service!

Jerry provides excellent customer service! I appreciate his texts to let us know he's coming by the next day. And his notes on the invoice he leaves, letting us know what services he's provided. Jerry seems to always do something above and beyond the basic lawn treatments too. Today it was spraying the weeds in the driveway crack, last time is was treating an area of moss.
I highly reccommend Lush Spray Service! -
About a year ago, after 25 years with our previous Lawn Care company, I was frustrated with the sparse communication and barely there service. Contact was by mail for preseason sign up otherwise email only. I met Jerry while he was servicing a neighbors lawn and spoke with him. I was immediately impressed. I went on a trial basis for one application after he looked over our lawn and made recommendations. I was impressed again. I contracted with him for the rest of the year and we renewed again this year. I have not been happier. Fantastic communication and customer service and our lawn and shrubs look fantastic. I highly recommend Jerry and Lush Lawn Service.

We found Lush last year and we could NOT be happier with his work! We used another local company for years and they were never able to get rid of a pesky weed or get our lawn as green as what Jerry has been able to do. We look forward to many summers enjoying our yard thanks to Jerry :)
-
Jerry is the best! He has transformed our yard from a dry half dead lawn from another companies mistake to lush green grass. Our yard has never look better. Highly recommend!
-
Amazing service. We started using them in the spring of 2025. Out lawn had never looked better. Way better than all the box store stuff I even added to my lawn. Because the results. The tech is very nice. Leaves our gates as he found it and his communication is perfect. We are extremely happy with the service provided in 2025 and can’t wait to resume service this spring. We found the service via a neighbor. And we have turned them on to other neighbors. Great company. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Stump and Grind LLC. They were professional from the first phone call to the final cleanup. The communication was clear, they showed up right on time, and the equipment they used made quick work of some difficult stumps. It’s rare to find a local company that is this efficient and easy to work with. If you’re in the Spokane area and need stump removal done right the first time, these are the guys to call.
