Desperate for a new company to winterize my sprinkler system, after the previous company downsized and left us, Marko's was happy to add us to their list of new customers and provided timely, outstanding and thorough service! Michael showed up first thing in the morning on the scheduled day and worked his tail off to complete the job on my extensive system. He patiently went above and beyond to communicate with me via text and phone over the course of two days to be completely sure he had completed the job to meet my expectations.

When Steve Marko and his brother owned and ran this company, it was top-notch old school service. Before Steve sold the business, his son (the install manager) and his service guys did a lousy, fast job and left me hanging with a botched new install with many subsequent problems. I am a mechanic and I noticed the deficiencies as they were doing the install. I complained to Steve but his hands were somewhat tied. His employees simply did not care about the work that they were doing - maybe because they knew it was going to be sold ? All his son cared about was doing a hit-and-run job and getting off of one job, and on to the next job. After Steve sold the business a few years ago, it continued to go into the toilet. I called and left three messages at the office of the new owner about getting some help/warranty work done and they never returned my call. They avoided me because they didn't want to cover the warranty that Steve Marko would have gladly upheld. A few weeks ago, I experienced a failure that I predicted would occur because of improper design and placement ( lack of bottom support so the boxes shifted and broke the piping ) of the manifolds and manifold boxes. It was difficult to field repair without digging up the downstream black poly piping, which would have cost ~ thousand dollars.This is because the connections made inside of the manifold boxes allowed no room/made no provision for a field repair. It was repaired correctly without spending a thousand dollars, but it still cost a lot of money and should have not been required for a new install that's only a few years old. Several knowledgeable people told me that the design and install was botched. Potential buyers beware !

Josh showed up early, but called me to make sure that was OK. He shut off the water for me, checked the controller to make sure it was off, and then blew out my lines. He checked to make sure that everything was properly drained

Jeff was an excellent technician during our first sprinkler blowout since moving to Spokane. He was cordial and patient while helping us find the turn-off valve. Highly recommend!

Did not complete the job, billed over $1700 dollars for nothing. Scheduled months out even when they knew we were on deadline. Made a complaint and was told the job would be complete then no follow up. Very disappointing to pay top dollar for low quality work.

Had our sprinkler blown out today by Don @ Mako's Sprinklers. Don took the time to do the job right and then even double checked his work. When finished he asked us if we had any questions or concerns. Very professional and courteous. We love this company and highly recommend them.

Don Skjold was Awesome. Great experience with the entire company, from start to finish. Very professional and knowledgeable. Great communication and reliable. Technician was thorough and on time. Would recommend and plan to continue service with them in the future.

First off, I will say, everyone I have talked to is pretty friendly. That being said they are very expensive and they had to come out three times just to get my sprinklers turned on! Also, they charge you more time than they were actually there for. I called and tried to get this straightened out and they said they would get back to me, but never did. Sucks because the first time I used them a couple years ago, they were great :(

I have been using Marko’s Sprinklers for many years. Don stopped by to do a sprinkler blowout. Don always does a good job. He is nice and doesn’t leave behind a mess with my sprinkler repairs. I enjoy seeing his pink truck. The people who answer the phone are nice as well and are quick to get back to you when leaving voicemails. They get me on the schedule pretty quick. This is why I stick with them and have not bothered to look elsewhere. I will be contacting them in the spring again for my sprinkler maintenance and I hope to see Don again.

I had a fantastic experience with Michael! Honestly, the whole team was incredibly responsive and managed to work me into their schedule the same day I called. The sprinkler blowout was done quickly and efficiently, and Michael took the time to explain my system in detail so I’d be ready to start it up smoothly in the spring. Super informative, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!

Spent $219 to have the tech tell me he doesn’t know what is wrong and left without any solutions. Told me to call this other company to find out what the error code was. I still don’t understand why he didn’t call the company while he was there to fix the problem? Already had a dying lawn and waited three weeks to have them come out? Won’t be calling them again.

These guys actually answer the phone. My lawn had brown spots all over. Jeff and his crew came out and quickly identified the problem and was easily fixed. No more brown spots. I highly recommend.

Today was our weekly mowing. Austin was exceptional as always. First time meeting Blake who handled weed wacker and gas edger like a pro. They make a great team. Effeciant, friendly and professional. They do all they can to make this picky customer satisfied.

Update: it's amazing to me that any employee can leave a crazy long response containing a tiny bit of truth and yet I called multiple times to get anyone on the phone to acknowledge that they literally left a sprinkler head off and didn't discuss, alert or make a plan with me at all. What the picture doesn't show is all the water just bubbling out without me knowing because the employee couldn't be bothered to discuss with me. This guy seems better at being defensive and not real great at customer care.

This company has earned a customer for life and if you're looking for the same, give them a call. You won't regret it. I contacted them and even through miscommunication on my end on the exact service I was looking for (totally my fault), they took the time to communicate,, listen and decipher my request into what I was looking for. Then, Jeff, showed up to my home when he said he would, assessed my system, made a couple of minor tweaks, and offered up what exactly it would take to revamp my system entirely or chip away at it. Communication was excellent. Pricing has been extremely reasonable, and customer service was second to none. I'm not sure I'm going to go with a full revamp at this time. Still have to discuss with my better half, but based on my dealings over the past couple of weeks with Marcos (in what was probably frustrating for them :) ), I will definitely be using them for all of my sprinkler services from now on. 5 well-earned stars. Marcos crew fixed up my sprinkler system to give my lawn the boost it needed to be lush and green in no time at all! Very happy with the end results! Added the before and after pictures for proof!

We have used Marcos since 2007 and they have always done a great job. ALP combines Marcos with lawn and pest services and is just as effective, if not more. Josh did a great job blowing out our sprinkler system and we will continue to use them as they are efficient, friendly, and great communicators.
