Appliance Repair reviews in Tukwila, Washington

WORST SERVICE EVER. Had a technician come out to repair our ice maker on 4/9. Said they needed to order the ice maker and would be out in a week and a half. Had to pay for everything up front and now I can't get anyone to come back out a month later to finish the repair. Spent WAY too much time on the phone with customer service trying to get someone out. Avoid Sears for any repair. All they seem interested in, is trying to sale me a warranty. That's a HARD NO.

I had them come to check my fridge because the ice maker wasn't working and the tech came in a fiddled with it but said "the thing isn't cycling" and said "there's no water coming in" which I could've told him. He said all they can do is order a new ice-maker for $500.00 or sign up for the yearly maintenance warranty but I chose to pay the $99.00 diagnostic only. After he left, I opened the unit and pulled it out just like I watched him do it and there was a piece of frozen ice clogging the intake and all he had to do is let the icemaker defrost...I let it sit on the counter for a few hours and put it back in. This was in April. It is now October. I waited just to see how long it would continue, but the ice-maker is working just as well as when it was new. I wouldn't say Sears is bad, but it'll be a while before I say anything else. I saved $500.00 or the cost of a new ice-maker by calling Sears because the guy inadvertently showed me how to open and remove the unit so I could do it myself. Other than that, they did nothing. It seems to be some scam to sell their monthly warranty. I wouldn't call them again. I did call customer service and they said they may be able to do something about the diagnostic fee since nothing was diagnosed and I fixed it myself, but later they said that since I signed to pay, the agreement was done...like what other choice do I have?

Our technician did a great job fixing our washer. He was courteous and professional (and liked our dog).

Awesome tech! Nice, knowledgeable and friendly!

Charles gave me a call, came on time and was very helpful. He explained everything with detail in a calm manner and made sure I understood.

William was RUDE!
We explained was the issue was with our freezer door, his response was dismissive in our explanation and said thats how its supposed to be. As we curiously waited within the first 5 min, he looked at us and said very rudely, “do u need something??”
So our presence annoyed him! In OUR house.
He later explained what was wrong with our door, which is what we told him in the FIRST place! He was dismissive and RUDE from the get go. -
Needed a technician's report for an insurance claim. I stated this need when I made the initial appointment. Technician came out, saw the problem was the cracked water filter that I already knew (fridge leaked and flooded my downstairs). Tech placed a new filter (that I already owned) in the housing and connected the water line to the hot water. Of course it worked, he then charged me "labor" for about 30 seconds of work that was incorrect because I had to disconnect from hot water after he left (he also stated that he wasn't charging for labor). That was 2/1 and it is now 2/6 and I have yet to receive the diagnostic report. It is impossible to get a person on the phone unless you are scheduling a new appointment and even then, I constantly get dropped. Do not use this service. I wanted a simple diagnostic report that should have been $139 and was charged $248 with NO ITEMIZED BILL. Call a local company, this is a complete waste of time and money.
Updated 2/12: I followed the suggestion to contact them via Facebook and got the same runaround as in the chat feature on the website. Only after filing a dispute for the charges with my cc company did I get a phone call from a real person and the itemized receipt. The CSR I spoke with did not have all the information and was unaware that the tech had connected the refrigerator line to the hot water. I'm still waiting on a decision from them regarding the refund of the labor fee. It took a week of daily messages to finally get the report I was promised within 24 hours. Their customer service is sorely lacking. -
After getting ripped off by another company, the Sears tech was just great. Knew his stuff… opened the back of the washer and found a broken wire. Repair done and not over the top expensive. My washing machine is perfect and we had him do just a look at the dryer to make certain it was in good repair. They are matching units and the same age. Tech was courteous and knowledgeable.

Very unsatisfactory with the many times it took to repair my washer. The wrong part was sent the first time. The second time the repair guy didn’t show up and we were told that there was no appointment for that day and time. Appointments were rescheduled without our approval. Repair guy texted that he was on his way and the appointment was rescheduled without our approval. This was not a good experience.

The technician was great. It took 5 cancellations to get him here. My refrigerator was down for a whole month

Found out most repair services won't service microwaves (relatively low cost to just buy a new one). Since ours was integrated with our wall oven, we wanted it fixed. Our technician (Amarpreet... I believe was his name) was awesome... could not have been a better experience all around!

Sears Home Services and the Service Technician provided exceptionally awesome service I repairing our Whirlpool Clothing Drying machine! The Service technician, i.e. Brian was very efficient in determining the issue with our machine; ordering the repair part; and subsequently repairing our Dryer!

I could tell the technician knew the details of the repair on my 35 year old Fridgedaire refrigerator. He gave me options for the repair and solved the issue.

Second times a charm. Technician is knowledgeable & professional, we’ll see if the part lasts longer this time…

The absolute worst customer service literally no way to talk to a person scheduled my appointment numerous times the first one 2 AM is when they scheduled it the next one the guy just showed up unannounced. The third one was after the parts were ordered. No one showed up for the repair I took the whole day off for this he says it’s two circuit boards they add up to $290. He says it’ll be $1100.
Absolutely do not recommend these people their automated phone system is absolutely the worst if there’s a problem, there’s nothing you can do
Mike Stevens 5/2/24
Sears responded back, asking me to explain this by going to Facebook and explaining it I don’t have a Facebook account in here in lies the problem
Maybe seers should post a phone number where a human will answer it and I can call them and explain this ridiculous service they provided
I would be more than happy to give them a good review when this problem is resolved I just don’t have any hope for that -
This company is terrible. All they do is to get you to sign a warranty with them. When it comes to repair, they send an incompetent technician. The technician is there to collect the deductible. He gives you bunch of lip service and leaves.
Good luck if you want to cancel your service.
We had to call every day to cancel the warranty. Their excuse was that their system was down. They didn’t even bother to call us to follow up. Even when we called back, they charged us another $100 to schedule another visit.
Run , and run away from this company.

It took 6 rescheduled appointments to get a repairman to complete the job. When he arrived he did not know what to do even when I showed him what was done previously. He left parts that were ordered. Not good support from his company. But I could see he did
everything he could see to do. 7th appointments did not happen. No service. 8th appointment he fixed the fridge.
Do not use sears -
The technician was really great. He diagnosed the problem with the dishwasher, made some recommendations and a route for repair. He also fix the light issue in the refrigerator. Over all service was excellent.
