I contacted this company to have some ceiling fans installed. After talking on the phone and sending photos of what we needed done, we were ghosted.
I sent a follow up text days later. He did not respond. Pretty unprofessional.

Had a very unprofessional scenario with Jake (owner of Salmon Creek Electric).
Jake and I had a break down of communication. The installation process was not explained to me thoroughly (I have no clue on electricity/permitting, how many days would take, pulling permit time needed, inspection, etc).

When I heard we were going into my already scheduled contractor time - I was let down, disappointed, and even expressed was going to cry (was on project overload). I told Jake he should had been more specific in beginning on the time he needed. I did not realize it would take over week to run the electrical, I had thought days only. However, and ownership on my part, I should had shared my timeline too. After our initial conversation where he said we were going into next week (where my tone became one of disappointment) I went into the house to call the contractor to reschedule.

When I came back out, next thing I know Jake is upset that I yelled at him. I was shocked. In no way did I “yell” at him. My tone was one of holding each other accountable, one of disappointment, one of being upset, a cry tone on my part. I Never raised my voice.

I apologized if he mistook me. We talked about our misunderstanding. I thought we worked it out. We left it as he would finish the project. Well, About 20 minutes later, I see him leave. I texted asking if he would be coming back. He said no, he couldn’t work in conditions where he was yelled at. Again, I was astonished. He couldn’t even tell me in person he was leaving (when he had just said he was good and would finish the job).

Jake has a Soft/quiet demeanor so I’m sure my disappointed persona (in the project process) was taken a little to much to heart and out of context. But leaving without saying a word is pretty unprofessional no matter the situation.

5 stars are not enough! Jake deserves 10 stars!
He is a rare jem! He is honest, trustworthy, polite, respectful, friendly and most importantly extremely competent and very conscientious! He does excellent work for less than his services are worth! I expected him to charge far more! He truly exceeded every expectation! It's rare to find anyone so worthy of taking a couple minutes to help others choose an honest, competent electrician to hire! I give him 10⭐️s!
I am hiring him to do additional work. *Stay tuned!.......

Would hire again! Needed 2 ceiling fans installed and he gave me a thorough overview of what to expect on the phone before making the appointment. Came and completed the job in a timely manner and reasonably priced compared to other places we called. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable.

5 Stars for Salmon Creek Electric! I needed a panel replacement (old, unsafe main panel) and Salmon Creek Electric was one of the highly recommended electricians in my area. Jake from Salmon Creek Electric was prompt, professional and knew his craft. It was all buttoned up on time and budget. I'd highly recommend. Also, I'll add that the inspector said "That's some nice work."

Jake at Salmon Creek Electric was absolutely amazing. He came after hours to help us get our electricity back on twice as well as the original electrical work we had originally hired him for. He did an amazing job and was very friendly and professional. We would highly recommend him! Five stars! He definitely knows his stuff.

Big shout out to Salmon Creek Electric for helping on a commercial job. Jake was quick to schedule an inspection and book the job, easy to communicate with, on time, and very knowledgeable. He created a game plan and executed it flawlessly on an older building that needed new 240 and 110 lines installed. Highly recommend. Will be using him again in the future for another couple commercial jobs and for some residential work I need done as well.

Jake was as professional as anyone I have ever worked with. He was prompt, professional, very knowledgeable, and a great person. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. Jake with Salmon Creek Electric was able to come help us on a Saturday afternoon at short notice. He was able to figure out the issue right away and even helped with other electrical issues we have been experiencing. We highly recommend him and his services!

Jake has come out for 2 different issues. Installing an EV charger and today he came out to diagnose an issue with a couple of outlets in my garage. He was quick and efficient and was able to replace the outlet and actually caught an issue with the wrong sized amp that could have led to a fire. Thanks Jake!

He was on time, efficient, knowledgeable, and didn't balk when I asked him to check out a couple of things that I didn't mention when scheduling this appointment. I truly appreciated Jake and his professionalism. He is extremely knowledgeable and took the extra time to make sure to explain what went wrong with my electrical issues. I realize I know nothing about electrical, but Jake was very patient with all the questions and concerns I had threw at him.
Not only was he patient with me, he was also vary kind to my curious children and dogs, that had dropped in on him a time or two to see what he was doing.
The work was finished within the time line he gave me, price he quoted and based on our conversations and results of his work, I feel confident that in my decision use to Salmon Creek Electrical was truly the right one.
I will use them in the future and I can easily recommend Jake to my family and friends!

Jake at Salmon Creek Electric has been out to my parents new home twice, and both times he has been exceptional. Very polite, communicative, and clearly knowledgeable. Over the weekend, we were doing some remodels and had some lights and outlets stop working. He was able to come to the house the next day and had solved the problem within an hour. He even changed out an old dimmer switch and fixed the seating of a light. Totally above and beyond. We will continue to call him, as a family, for any electric work needed and will refer him to anyone asking for an electrician. Easiest five star review ever.

Jake installed a new electrical panel for us. He was kind, and informative about the installation. He did an awesome job and we will highly recommend him and will definetly use him in the future for any of our electrical jobs. Thank you Jake for giving us such a great price.

Would hire again no questions asked! The guys did a fantastic job running a 220 60 amp service for me. Their work was signed off by the inspector in under a few minutes of reviewing the work and permit issued.

On time to give bid. Started the job on the promised date. Work was signed off by inspector. No mess was left.

I called Jake this morning and explained that we needed a 30 amp plug in for our RV so that we can run the air conditioning without popping the 20 amp in our garage. He was here within a few hours and the job has been done and the air conditioner has been running since Jake left! Thank you so much for your professional, friendly, speedy attitude!

Jacob from Salmon Creek Electric did an excellent job of installing my level two charger at my home. He communicated well what was involved, informed me about my power requirements for my new EV. All work was performed as planned. I want to publicly thank Jacob for his professionalism, knowledge and his work ethic. This is very important. I didn’t know if my home circuit could handle a EV charger. Jacob did the analysis of my power usage and helped me understand the scope of the project. The next time I need electrical work I will call for Jacob at Salmon Creek Electric.

Five stars for Jake and Salmon Creek Electric!

I recently had Jake from Salmon Creek Electric install an EV charger at my home, and I couldn't be happier with the service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient from start to finish.

Jake took the time to explain my options and help me choose the right options (NEMA 14-50 vs hardwired charger) for my needs. He also pointed me at the links for WA state rebates and federal tax rebates.

The installation was completed quickly and efficiently, and Jake even took the time to show me how to upgrade the circuit breakers in the future if I installed more appliances.

I highly recommend Jake for any electrical work, but especially for EV charger installations: He is very knowledgeable about EV chargers and was able to answer all of my questions. His services are affordable too.

Jake has completed a couple of projects for us. He is very professional, quick to respond, and let me tell you very good and clean at what he does. We had a slight problem one afternoon where we tripped a breaker that we couldn’t get to reset. My husband called Jake on the phone and turned out it was a GFCI. He helped us identify that over the phone. He was so kind about it. He is the person we will go to for all our electrical needs.

I can’t say enough good things about Jake. I have been a professional in my line of work for over 30 years so it is safe to say I have been around my fair share of contractors. Jake did a full electrical service on my Vancouver property and was very patient with all my questions and explaining in detail what he was doing.

He is very easy to be around and was a consummate professional from start to finish. Of course I will utilize his services on all my future remodels and would not hesitate to give his number in the future.
