Electrical reviews in Vancouver, Washington

The Nationwide folks are awesome, we got our questions answered right up front with one visit from their team. They looked at our situation, setup the permitting. Once the state and county were ready, the team got our install itself done in a-half-a-day, ahead of schedule. My wife and I look forward to this house receiving power from the sun directly for years to come, more than paying the investment back.

"Beware of Nationwide Solar! I've been dealing with roof leaks caused by their installation for over a year. Despite calling repeatedly for repairs, they sent Michael to remove the solar panels, leaving them off for two weeks without follow-up. This irresponsibility has caused downtime and I'm still stuck making payments. Very disappointing service."

A great experience! Jon-Michael was very good at explaining the costs and benefits of the system . It was installed very professionally and in one day! When the inspector came out we were told it was a very clean installation. We could not be more pleased.Any time we called Jon with questions he were quick to get us answers.

0 Stars. Please stay away from these folks. They caused my roof leak and asked me to wait for 3 weeks in a rainy seattle in Nov with a roof leak and water damaging my house. Stay away!!!! Not worth your house damage.
Recent Update [Nov/05/2025]: My roof started leaking from underneeth the solar panels nationwidesolar installed. I contacted them and they asked to wait for 3 weeks for them to come to fix. 3 weeks in seattle rain in Novemeber, was so worst and my house was damaging by every hour. They were very inssensitive. I asked if, i can get someone to fix it and if they can reimburese. They said, they wont, and also they mentioned if solar pannels are removed, then it will void my rest of the 30 year warrenty on these installed pannels. So please please do not install any solar pannels. And especially from these guys. You want a business to approach you quickly not only when they are selling their product but also during such emrgencies. -
8/4/2023: They’re real worried about public review. There’s no way they can make things 100% right, but they are apologizing for the lack on their part.
2/4/2023 Update: And yet even more issues with getting solar panels. The finance company (Enium)puts a lien on your home preventing you from getting a HELOC until the debt is paid.
Oh!
AND they write their loan to force you to pay them the govt rebate you get by the end of the first year or your payment goes up. But what they don’t tell you is that the govt only gives you a portion the first year you file your taxes and holds the remaining for the following year. What a scam!!!!!!!!
{Update: my solar system was installed mid July. It is now the beginning of October and I still do not have a contract that matches my system and I’m getting delinquent payment calls from the financial company. I have reached out to nationwide and they tell me that they will have a contract for me to sign and then I hear nothing from them for over a week. This was all due to lack of communication and follow through not being complete. They still have yet to make this right.}
I agree with other reviews about the poor communication. I only heard from them when I initiated contact. One to two months in between. The sales reps sold me on one panel then I got paperwork with a completely different brand. Was also told “this is a better panel anyway”.
I started the process in February 2022. The permit was issued in May and when I called them on it they said it wasn’t issued until June (wrong folks. County website didn’t lie). Didn’t call me to schedule for install until beginning of July.
The only saving grace was the install crew. (Robert, both Jr and Sr, Nick and Aaron from the Vancouver Wa office). Nick showed up early to prep and the guys had the panels on the roof by 2:30p. Robert and Robby finished up the connections and explained everything to me. Thanks guys!
Oh yeah…was also told by the sales team that 25 panels were going up when only 20 did. I signed paperwork for 25. I best not be getting charged for those missing 5! -
Such a process deciding which solar option best fits your home! Nationwide simplified it and gave me very easy options to consider.
Upon going with Nationwide Solar vs the competition, the process was made even easier with scheduling, install and support. There is no better in the business! Ty Nationwide Solar! -
Nationwide installers Nick, Andrew, Jose were awesome. They did an outstanding job and were very thorough. Super friendly and very professional team! Highly recommend!! A+++++

The process to get solar was easy and painless. Very impressive.
The issue?
Apparently our roof was nearing the end of its life. We were new homeowners and they never once mentioned it, even though they were the ones who came to us trying to convince us to get solar.
We were told it'd be a couple grand for them to remove the solar panels and put them back up if we were going to have our roof done.
When the time came, 3 years after we got the solar panels, we were quoted 19.2k, with an obscure discount possible if they do the roofing for us, and about 19k for them to do the roofing for us. So the cost to remove and replace the solar was equal to the cost of removing and replacing the solar, doubling the cost of getting our roof done, which is already an expensive part of home maintenance.
If we had been informed we would need a new roof, we would have waited for solar until after we replaced it.
So here we are, going from around 19k for a roof replacement, to 38k.
I found a company about an hour away to do the solar panel removal and replacement for us. They will charge about 12.6k and cover us under their warranty after, despite the solar panels coming from another company.
I can't ethically allow them to do my roofing even if they would be cheaper, because such predatory practices bother me. I had made the mistake of focusing my research on the price of their system and if it was reasonable, and didn't consider this factor.
Didn't expect to regret getting solar. But here we are. The cost of removal and replacement for roofing alone will make it so the solar will never be cheaper than the cost of just having city electricity.
Another fun issue was, we were told we would receive $17k that we could then make one big payment and reduce our monthly solar bill.
Turns out, it is a tax CREDIT. We didn't receive that money, they just reduce our tax burden and we had to pay $0 instead until the credit was used up.
So we ended up not being able to make a big payment, and our solar bill is around $322, as compared to the $200 or less for electricity that we were paying previously.
Another review also stated Enium, the person who provides the financing, takes a lein on the house, and we can't get a HELOC until we pay off the solar. Which is fun, because I was going to get a HELOC soon.
Sounds like this company really just wants to get what they want and not be transparent about the true cost to consumers. -
This crew was phenomenal. They arrived in a timely manner and in a matter of hours our solar panels were installed; such efficiency. When the job was done they cleaned up every scrap of debris. We can’t say enough good about Tucker, Aaron, Alayla, and German. What a class act!
We highly recommend Nationwide Solar to anyone considering installing solar panels. The company makes the process so easy and keeps in constant contact throughout the project. They all deserve an A+. -
Nationwide Solar is a perfect example of a company over-promising and under-delivering. We had difficulty getting them to install the panels a couple years ago and only got them installed 3 months after the date promised when I threatened to consider them in breach of contract.
We knew we would need to replace our roof in the next couple years and when I mentioned that to the salesman, he said it would be about $1000 for them to remove and reinstall the panels. When the time came to replace our roof, it was $5000. Since we had someone else remove and reinstall the panels, they say their warranty is void, even though the panels worked fine for over a year. -
Great company to work with!
-
Amazing job, roof, gutters, and new skylight look incredible!
-
HIGHLY recommend for exceptional service and follow up. Very professional and rapid response to questions. Thank you for helping us out with our roof and solar.
-
This has been a great experience, the install went very smooth. We have the bifacal panel with micro inverters and are very happy with the upgrade.
-
Everything happened quicker then I thought. Very happy with experience. Enjoyed working with company from sales all the way to the owner. Based on my experience if youre looking for solar I recommend 10/10.

Take the advantage of going green and build your own energy with Advantage Energy Solar. Their professionalism and all around Customer service has been absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Introduction to Solar by Kane, and Solar Panel Installer Gabe from Prolectric has been quick, kind, and efficient. Solar is the way to go.

I have been eager to go solar for years but always had an excuse not to. When Advantage Energy Solutions showed up at my door, they were probably the fourth outfit to try to convince me to pull the trigger. What made me do it with them rather than the other guys was simply how friendly and patient they were with my apprehension. Absolutely NO pressure, they just wanted me to know why I should at least consider the option. They explained all the costs, worked with me on financing and padded it with a rebate to make it so easy to say yes. I also loved the idea that they were a local company rather than the conglomerates that just don't have that enthusiasm these guys have.
If I have any complaint, it's that they didn't come sooner. It took about four months from the time I signed until the project was done, just in the nick of time to take advantage of the summer sun. I haven't had so much fun staring at my new net meter watching the "dial" spin the other way (it's an LCD screen now but who cares, right? It's blinking to the left!!).
I will say we have the perfect roof for this and solar might not work for everyone, but if you have a wide, south facing roof and unabstructed view of the sky, just do it. Yes, even in OR/WA!
With the green movement gaining traction, having your own generating capacity will become an absolute must. Prices are guaranteed to rise, the government is clamping down on fossil fuels, and an increasing number of EVs soaking up electricity are going to become the norm. Supply is limited and population (thus demand) will only grow.
Just consider, daytime outages will be a thing of the past! It PAYS FOR ITSELF, lasts longer than almost any appliance or car you will ever own, it adds to the value of your house and tax incentives make any added short-term cost negligible. I won't say your dumb for not looking into it, but you'll feel that way if you don't seriously consider making the move. Just do it! Don't hesitate to sign up with these guys. -
I have not bought a solar roof because I don’t own a home, but I know several of the the employees and the passion they have for their product is unmatched.
These individuals and this company are servicing the community with something they truly believe in, they are diligent and do not pressure people but rather inform them and let them make their own decision. -
We had a good experience with Advantage Energy Solutions. The timing of the installation and inspections went as they said it would. We are producing the amount of electricity we expected from the panels. The salesperson with whom we dealt, Kane, was responsive to our questions, and put us in touch with the owner on the few occasions when he (Kane) was uncertain of the answer, which we appreciated. There have been no unpleasant surprises to date.
-
When Kane initially came over I was pretty sure we weren't going to get these solar panels. It's a big investment and we simply don't have that kind of pocket change. By the time Kane was finished, I was excited and ready to get started.
Now I'm a bit impatient so getting all the paperwork and financing done seemed so annoying but I know how the agencies work so I impatiently waited. So did Kane and Joe. Thank goodness Joe took the lead and got us moving.
After that everything was popping right into place. We had a little hiccup with my funky roof but Gabe figured it out and everything worked out.
We are just waiting on PUD and then we can go live.
This company has been great to work with. I can't wait to see how much we can save on our electricity bill. Plus the value added to our home.
I've got future ideas for this company as well. It's hard to find reliable companies so I'm going to hang on to Advantage.
Many thanks to Joe, Kane, Raul (and son), Gabe (and his apprentice) as well as all the unknown people. This has been a good experience.
Thank You Advantage Energy Solutions! -
I was surprised at how much money I could save by switching to solar power with Advantage Energy Solutions. They did a thorough inspection of my roof and designed a system that perfectly fits my needs. The installation was quick and efficient, and the technicians cleaned up everything afterwards. I'm enjoying the benefits of solar power without any hassle.
