I can't say enough good things about this landscaping agency! They removed all of my blackberries in just a few hours, and the results were absolutely incredible. The area was completely overgrown, but their team came in, worked quickly and efficiently, and left everything looking spotless. I was blown away by how thorough and fast they were. Highly recommend to anyone needing serious yard cleanup or blackberry removal!

Leo was super responsive and was there same day with a quote. They were flexible on start times and worked through the road construction in our neighborhood without issue. They were very thorough with clean up, as well.

Leo and his crew are an absolute pleasure to work with. He gave a fair price for a gravel driveway installation and a retaining wall I needed on a slope. They worked hard and quickly. The project was done on time and with no hidden fees. If you want great work done and not get overcharged, give L&A a shot!

We had a lot of blackberry bushes that we wanted cleared up. Leo and his crew got it done in three days and sprayed the area so it doesn’t come back. That was a lot of work and we are very happy with the results! The pictures shown are just one section. We will definitely use them again if we need more work done.

Leo did a great job tackling my overgrown back yard. I wanted the weeds throughout the grass actually pulled (instead of just mowed), which was a TON of work. Leo responded to my inquiry immediately, scheduled the job quickly, and was communicative throughout the day while they were working. He did an amazing job... I highly recommend L&A for any landscaping needs!

Leo and his guys are great. Upfront and honest on what needs done. Good pricing. We just had front yard sod done and got estimate for back yard. When i brought up having fence redone he said they do that too! They do more than lawns!

I hired Leo for a decent size project involving leveling and sod as we had removed a pond and a couple flower beds.

Leo was quick to respond and came out later that day for a quote. He began the work a couple days later and finished quicker than I had expected.

Leo and his crew did an awesome job! Tore up all the weeds and put down new soil and made it nice and level and laid new sod and it looks beautiful now that’s it’s all rooted!

Good, responsive communication and quick work within our budget. We had a lot of blackberry bushes (see before pics). Leo cares about his work and seeks customer satisfaction. We will certainly keep L & A in mind for future work.

Don’t make the same mistake as us, cheaper is not always better. These pictures speak for themselves. If you need lawn maintenance or blackberry removal, their reviews mostly prove to be good for that. If you’re wanting a retaining wall or turf installed, please run far away from these guys. Leo was by far the cheapest quote we got and we wanted to save money if we could, so we hired them - bad idea.

Everything was extremely unprofessional from beginning to end, and there were so many red flags that we should not have overlooked. There was no contract, they worked very slow (they said 3-4 days to be done with everything and ended up taking 5 days to complete HALF the job), they left their drinks and garbage all over each day after they left, and they were extremely unprepared with tools and asked my husband to borrow multiple items they forgot, they also made an absolute disaster of the front lawn and sidewalks with mud from the backyard and never bothered to clean anything up.

By day 5, 90% of the wall was built, and a thin layer of gravel was put on the ground in preparation for turf. They were planning on ‘completing’ the rest of the job until the turf got delivered in a 1,000lb roll. Leo was so upset that the turf was not cut into smaller pieces (which as a owner of his company, he should have clarified beforehand) and told us it would cost us $1,500 extra for him to cut the turf. He started telling sob stories in which he “was already under on money from this job (which is his own fault because he bid the job), that now he would have to skip church on Sunday to cut the turf that he did not plan for, is only 19 years old working with his brother and is just trying to make an honest living, and that he’s out there working late nights in the cold”. We asked Leo why it would be $1,500 extra to make some cuts in the turf like he originally thought they would come in. When Leo’s response was “you wouldn’t understand, have you even installed turf before??” At this point we knew Leo was saying anything he could to extort money from us because he underbid the job.

We decided to part ways with Leo but agreed to have him complete the retaining wall (it was still missing bricks on both sides for a completed look and we wanted the wall to be done at the very least). We knew Leo was mad that we didn’t want to pay him extra money and my worst fear happened, Leo retaliated and only filled brick on ONE side of the retaining wall and gave up on the opposing side. They literally just threw some pieces of brick in there and called it good…. Worst thing I have ever seen in my life. We decided to just pay them to get them out of our yard for good and not have to deal with it anymore.

We learned our lesson that cheaper is not always better and decided to go with one of the most expensive quotes from a company that actually knows what they are doing. This new company completed in 4 hours what took Leo and his buddy’s 3 entire days. The new company informed us that the retaining wall that Leo built was completely the wrong pattern, that they did not use the right caulking glue (hence the bright white glue everywhere), that they only filled the wall with 3/4 minus for the first 3 layers and just completely gave up on the last layer, that they did not cap off the sprinkler system so that our turf would have flooded if they did install our turf, that they did not dig deep enough for the rock drainage and therefore the turf would have failed, that they compacted the gravel without ever ripping out any weeds underneath and therefore huge weeds would have grown underneath of it and created big lumps in the turf, and the list of problems truly goes on.

It was truly a blessing in disguise that they had an issue with cutting the turf and tried to extort us for more money, because they had zero idea what they were doing and we would have had to have had everything redone anyways. So much wasted time & money. All this to say, if you need a wall built or want turf installed, please don’t waste your hard-earned money, these are not your guys.

We had a good experience. Leo was very responsive in getting back to me to set up the installation of sod - we all know that once the weather turns warm it’s hard to get businesses to call you back. He and his crew came in and worked very hard, which also happened to be the hottest day of the year, and completed in half a day. I’ve already spoken with Leo about keeping in touch for future work. A good experience and it’s nice to have a local option to call and able to complete most services.

It’s wonderful to have such a friendly family take care of our landscaping needs. We can always rely on them to do an amazing job with our front and back yards. Still love it! The plants have filled in. Every couple of weeks another plant comes into bloom with a burst of color. We're seeing honey bees and birds. Bringing fresh cut flowers inside. And our dogs are loving sniffing whatever visits yard overnight!

I had an overall idea of how I wanted to replace a boring grass and river rock front yard with a more natural-looking, sustainable landscape. Had two conversations with David, and his team installed exactly what I wanted, including drip irrigation! I could not be happier!

We are so happy that we chose Simple Lawns to complete a large transformation project to both the front and back yards of our newly purchased house (the work included removal of a backyard full of river rocks and concrete pavers, installing sod to create a "livable" lawn, installing a French drain, installing additional sprinkler zones, beautifying existing landscaping, and completely re-sodding front yard - whew!). This is a company that knows how to operate a well-run business and one that hires top-notch, skilled team members and uses quality machinery, materials, and equipment.

We chose Simple Lawns for their responsiveness and reasonable pricing. We worked first with David for the estimate who was very informative. When the job got underway, my husband and I were so impressed with the team’s professionalism and expertise. They worked hard, were so efficient, and every stage of the project was handled neatly and carefully. What also impressed us is that Simple Lawns uses specialized teams of experts to come out for different parts of the job. Eddie oversaw the project and was readily available throughout the duration. Alberto and Valente were the mainstay team members who managed the work throughout the week (ask for them, they are fantastic!). Don specialized in irrigation and oversaw the installation of the additional sprinkler zones. And several other crew members were dispatched throughout the week to help Alberto and Valente. Each team member put in their best effort from start to finish with outstanding professionalism, communication, and expertise.
