Installation was awesome, the crew knew what they were doing and they respected the house and the property. I was able to get a lot more then just solar panels and I’m really happy with that. The staff were knowledgeable and the foreman really knew his stuff. I appreciated them working with me on my preferences and what i wanted. Love the look of my roof, I would say the quality of the product and service is way better then my last installation with SolarCity.

For some time now, my wife and I have been thinking about installing solar panels. There were many companies we looked at and decided on selecting Pacific NW Solar. They were very thorough informing and educating us about joining the solar community. We of course were influenced with the state and federal incentives. We had 35 Panasonic panels with Enphase inverters installed. The process was started in late January with sale consultations, changes on our part, and planning the project around installing a new roof prior to installation in March. The project also contended with Covid 19 social distancing. The panels were installed April 15 and completed the next day. The crew were spectacular and they did an excellent job cleaning up after themselves. I whole heartedly would recommend PNW Solar.

Pro-stat was a great choice for me and my husband for our solar panels. Installation was smooth, and they were able to get us scheduled in time before the end of the tax program in our state. We can easily track our panels with an app. The employees communicated with us clearly throughout the process and gave us resources which were helpful. Thank you very much!

Awesome company, who stands behind their work! They got me ALL of the available rebates. I feel great about my solar because of Prostat!

Not happy with this company, but not because their solar panels don't do the job. I am very dismayed because they failed to inform me about financial incentives of more than $4,000 that I could have qualified for through the Energy Trust of Oregon. I knew about federal tax credits, but I only learned about these local incentives a couple of months ago -- 8 months after Pro-Stat finished the job -- and Energy Trust tells me now that they can't apply the incentives retroactively. Pro-Stat is a "trade ally" of Energy Trust of Oregon and should have informed and assisted me in getting their incentives. I took out a sizeable loan to finance the solar panels, and I could have taken a considerably smaller loan. In addition, the Pro-Stat salesperson employed hard-sale tactics -- "make a decision today if you want to get a X percent special discount" -- and later got bent out of shape when the company had to go through extra steps with the city because I live in an historic district. The technical people were good to deal with, but overall I think the company has quite lousy customer relations.

Hired to do solar/electrical/roof package install. Oversold their services on what they can do for electrical work. Have a pending lawsuit against them for breach of contract. So far they have not answered nor attempted any response for resolution. They have been served as well as their attorney No response.

I strongly would not recommend them! They will smooth talk you with promises they cannot deliver on.

Recommend avoiding Pro-Stat for solar installs!

We called and gave the intake person some information. “Matt” then sceduled a Zoom meeting with us. He spent about an hour walking us through a proposed system, including price, which included a $4,500 “discount” if we agreed to sign a contract during the Zoom call. He said to take our time to discuss and then went offline while we talked. When we came back online we told him that we had a couple of questions we needed to resolve before making a decision. His tone changed immediately, he took himself off the video call and asked if those were the only issues we needed to address. We told him that we couldn't make an immediate decision because this was not a typical install and had several things to consider (including other bids). At that point, he said ok, “Happy Thanksgiving” and closed out the Zoom chat - hanging up on us.

    1. The offer wasn’t that great to begin with - we had two other bids that came in considerably lower, even with the “discounts”.
    2. The $4,500 was an obvious pressure tactic to close the deal, and if the bid was that good to begin with, the price should have reflected that.
    2. The Zoom meeting was recorded - he didn’t ask permission to record.
    3. The bid included trenching - Matt said that if they have to trench more, Pro-Stat would just eat the additional cost. Seems like a lot to promise when we ballparked trenching between 100 and 150 feet in terrain that they hadn't seen.
    4. No mention of making a site visit to signing their proposal. This drew red flags, given the complexity of this project.

Pro-Stat's business model seems exclusively focused on making money. If you’re ok with that, just be aware what you’re getting into.

Several days after I posted this, the owner reached out to ask about our experience. We shared a few details and suggest he review the recorded Zoom meeting - that should tell him what he needs to know. We will update if he reaches back out.

I made the mistake of letting Prostat finish their work before PGE did theirs, this meant I couldn't turn the system on until after the inspection which is when the final payment is due. Needless to say the system had broken panels and error messages, it took four months of emails, texts, calls, before I gave up and sent them notice I was going to use the Oregon contractors board to force mediation. Got a call two days latter, they fixed the non-functional panels and then didn't bother with the error messages with the system.

This company is bad, at no point was it nice working with them, every step after they got their last payment was them ignoring me until I invoked the Oregon contractor's board which they couldn't ignore. They email you, but never reply. You call them and no one returns messages. You talk to one person and they say you need to talk to someone else, they promise they'll tell them to call you. At one point they scheduled to come out, when they didn't show I called and the same woman said "I don't make appointments".

I agree with the other reviews that the salesmen are sketchy, other companies just gave us their price, Prostat made us sit through a presentation about how glorious they are. In the end they clawed their way to the lowest bid, at this point I would have gladly paid more to go with the other companies.

If you came here looking for reviews of this company its all bots, no one would write "Pro-Stat Solar Group", humans write Prostat. Every review is just bots and them replying to their own bots.
