Window Installation reviews across the US

AAA+++; Have known VanderLaan Home Improvement for years and they are Honest, Reliable, Courteous and have GREAT pricing.

On 25 June 2025 we had Vanderlaan Home improvement installed new windows in our home and once again give them AAA+++. Dan and Jerron were our installers and were fantastic. Great customer service and professionalism.

Dan and Zach did a great job with our door install. There were a couple of hiccups that were handled right away and made right. Thanks VanderLaan for a beautiful new door!

VanderLaan's service team was efficient and knowledgeable and the installer, James, was excellent! He communicated with me regularly during the installation of my new sliding door and he was very concerned with keeping the area clean and organized. I appreciated his knowledge and friendly attitude. I would happily call VanderLaan's again for another project!

We've had some ongoing issues that showed up early with 2 slider doors that we've had replaced. Up front communication was good, and Eric does a great job at the home on the estimates and in helping determine what we need. We are still waiting on some follow up work to be done before the slider doors go out of warranty, and many emails and calls are going either with no response or with a promise of follow up and then little to no follow up. We're concerned that our doors will go out of warranty with the problems that we have and they will no longer be covered. We're not sure touching them up is going to be a good long term solution, but we're open to your suggestions. We'd like our issues, albeit minor issues, resolved with an assurance of warranty coverage in order to earn more stars. Thanks.

Scott and Cameron came to my home to fix a roof issue. They got into the job and it was much worse than anticipated. The end price was very reasonable and much better than I expected. Very happy to way things worked out.

Eric and Kevin replaced a slider and windows in my home. They were so accommodating, professional, timely and did a really beautiful job. Communication was great. Highly recommend!

James and Zach were very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. They knew what they were doing and did a great job in a timely manner! They even cleaned up nicely. Would highly recommend.

Upon being recommended by a local building supply company, I called Grant at VanderLaan Home Improvement to complete exterior tasks that the builder left unfinished. Grant was responsive and promptly came to the house to look at my projects that needed to be done.

Grant was clear in stating that their schedule was packed and that they may not be able to get to it until October, but if something became available, he would let me know. Grant provided a quote later that day. We accepted, knowing we would have to be patient. He called a week or two later stating that he was just finishing up a big job around the holiday, and wondered if he could squeeze our job in before the next big job. Heck yeah!

Responsible. Timely. Honest. Fair. Did what he said they would do by following through as promised. Professional, knowledgeable, and respectful work crew. Quality work. Clean work site. I could go on and on about Grant and his crew because these kinds of people and companies are nearly impossible to find, let alone those that actually follow through on their word.

I highly, highly recommend VanderLaan Home Improvement. You will not be disappointed. I sure wasn’t. Thank you, Grant and team!

I am very happy with the window and slider I purchased from VanderLaan's. James did a great job installing them. He was very friendly and polite and asked more than once if I had any questions. He made sure the color was right and cleaned everything up very well.

Eric was very prompt to come to my condo to assess the issues with two windows and make recommendations. The time between ordering new windows and scheduling installation was reasonable. James was the Installer. I can't say enough nice things about James. He was personable, professional and took obvious care to install the new windows correctly. We reviewed the final installation together and there were not any issues. Total satisfaction. Thank you VanderLaan!!

Vanderlaan Home Improvement replaced my roof from hail damage. Eric went above and beyond with meeting an adjuster, helping the process be easy for me, helping pick out replacement shingles/valley, and his updates with the actual work performed.
The crew lead by Hector did a banner job tearing off old shingles and putting the new on in under 2 days. I can honestly say that I looked all over the driveway and yard and did not find a single nail left behind. Very professional job! I would absolutely refer them to friends and family.

I thought Zack did an amazing job with all the details getting his attention and completing the tasks in a timely manner. He is very good at what he does and I would recommend him to anybody.

Zac and Cameron did a great job on installing slider door . My whole house is remodeled by Vanderlaan home improvement. Thanks again

VanderLaan's replaced soffit, fascia, freise and gutters in our home. They did a wonderful job and in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend to any and all.

Amazing work and amazing customer service experience the whole way around. We hired VanderLaan to install new windows throughout our home. They made the process super easy and did a fabulous job on each & every window. Tom & James were the primary workmen, and they were both amazing - so efficient, so professional, so skilled and so thorough. We are thrilled with our new windows and are already noticing the difference of how less drafty the house is and how much less our thermostat kicks on.

Thank youVanderLaan Home Improvement for helping us upgrade our home! After talking to a half a dozen window companies, we went with VanderLaan's after a friend of mine mentioned what an amazing job they did on her house 20 years ago! A reputation that sticks. :) We would hire your team 1,000 times over!! Thanks for the great work!!!

I've used VanderLaan several times over the years for home improvement projects including door replacement, installing a new window, fixing siding and replacing old shutters. I'm always very pleased with their work and professionalism. Dan and his crew worked on several of my projects and did a fantastic job! I highly recommend VanderLaan.

Scott and Cameron worked on several repairs on our home over the course of a few weeks. They did a fabulous job! Very detail oriented, professional and very knowledgeable. They kept us aware of things we needed to know, cleaned up at the end of each day and the house looked beautiful when they were done. Highly recommend and will use them again for any future repairs!

Dan and Jeron did a great job with our Alside replacement windows! Our cottage had 50 year-old windows with some sils rotted. They replaced them and wrapped them tight with aluminum. Very professional! If you need new windows I highly recommend Vander Laan!

Vanderlaan Home Improvement did an amazing job on my roof. Dave was helpful in picking out the shingles and did a very thorough job inspecting the roof ahead of time...He even went into the attic to check it out. When his crew was removing the shingles they found extra layers they weren't expecting but did not try to come to me for more money...They honored their quoted price and even brought in another dumpster to haul everything off. The crew was very prompt (there at 7:30am each day...before sunrise) and worked hard all day. I can't speak to the longevity of the roof and I will say that it snowed the next day so I didn't really get to inspect it yet but I am confident it will look great and perform even better for many years. Thanks to everyone over at Vanderlaan for a job well done. Merry Christmas to you and a happy New Year.

Zach came to my home to replace an old window and he did an amazing job. He’s not only skilled at his job, he’s also friendly and respectful. He explained the entire process and he also addressed me by name, which in my book is a big plus! I highly recommend VanderLaan Home Improvement and Zach, they will not disappoint!

Had a great experience with Vanderlaan. They quoted replacing four windows for my business, had the best price, communicated well, installed on time. One of the four windows they had ordered for us came in with a small crack, and they came back and replaced it really quickly. The installers were great, very professional, and they took care to not interrupt business while they were working, even parked out of the way. Very happy with them and will use them again in the future!
