Reviews of local pros in Baldwin, Wisconsin

Great selection of plants. Very informative and it was wonderful talking to him about hostas. He took the time and asked questions as to my likes and dislikes and suggested plants that were to my liking. He also gave great advice on how to be more successful growing them. Thanks a million!

Met Rich and had a great time. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Gave us lots of time while wandering the flower beds. Plan on going back a little later in the season to check out the growth of the gardens.

Purchased some beautiful hostas from Rick!! ALL OF HIS PLANTS ARE TOP SHELF!!! Rick is extremely helpful in making your selection of plants and will help you in your bed design and on the best way to properly plant them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RICKS LANDSCAPING!!!

I would highly recommend Rock Landscape and Gardens! The plants are of the finest quality. Rick takes time to explain the plants, talks you through care and maintenance. If you have a chance to visit the gardens, you will be amazed and charmed.

Thank you Rick and crew for our ongoing landscape maintenance. It's very difficult to find post landscape project services. Your knowledge and care to our extensive property plantings is just wonderful. Plus to have your service cost to come in under bid!!!! Thank you and see you again soon.

Rick and his crew did an amazing job landscaping for our new home. After building, we needed a lawn and were dealing with lots of sloping terrain that had the potential for erosion and water damage to the house. Rick took NO shortcuts putting in our yard and it is now paying off a year later! We needed a lot of erosion blankets and waterways created, and two retaining walls. Rick also took his time to talk me through what I would need to do for maintenance to ensure the grass would grow. During all his work, he found problems left by our home building contractors - shotty excavating and crushed drain tile - and he went above and beyond to fix it all for us! He didn't cut any corners, even through all the difficult grading, to ensure we were satisfied, and we are! We'll have Rock Landscape back for our next landscaping project!

Bought several hostas from Rick and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on all his plants. Just came back from buying some more for our new landscaping. Highly recommend Rick and all his beautiful plants for your landscaping needs!!! Thanks again Rick!!!!

We visited Rick today and had a great time looking at all the varieties of plants. We picked up some great finds! Very knowledgeable, and willing to give advice for our soil and landscape types.

Choose Rock Landscaping & Gardens of Baldwin, Wisconsin!

Rick was punctual, professional, and created ideas to enhance my hosta masterpiece of a garden that he helped create several years ago. Rick spent quality time on a Sunday with my sister, a family friend, and me as we toured the gardens at his business and discussed ideas for all three of our yards. Those ideas were followed up with selection of the perfect plants and accent pieces for our yards.

Thank you, Rock Landscaping and Gardening, for creating such wonderful yards for all of us! We will be back!!!

I have known and dealt with Rick Rock for over 10 years! Never been disappointed. He does what he says he'll do and better than you expect. He sells hosta and other perennials which are of great quality. He has built and maintains gorgeous gardens at his home/business. I have seen many designs he has done for others as well. Rick's attention to detail is unsurpassed. You won't be disappointed! He is a great go-to person for plant and design advice as well as for problem solving. Highest in my review is his straight forward approach and honesty along with excellence in his work. He goes above and beyond with each job.

My sister and I visited Rick's place last week and enjoyed a personal tour of the gardens and plants. Rick was so kind and picked peonies, lilacs, alliums and other plants for us along the way. We ended up with an amazing bouquete of gorgeous flowers. Rick's place is full of the most beautiful and strong peonies and so many varieties of hostas. We were so happy we stopped by!

Highly recommend Rick as your source to buy hostas and companion plants. His gardens are beautiful and the plants are healthy and disease free. He takes the time to sterilize tools equipment before and after digging and pruning plants.

You can walk around the gardens with him or on your own and pick out plants that interest you. He will give you a price based on the size of the plant you want. You can buy the whole mature plant, a division from it, or smaller ones growing in pots in the nursery bed. If you need help deciding what will work and look great in your garden, he will take time to help you with your design.

During our conversation while making my appointment, he said “ I want you to be successful”. After being there, I know he really meant what he said. I left with beautiful healthy plants and also an education to successfully grow them. Well worth the 3-1/2 hour drive for me to get there. I’ll definitely be going back!!

Thank you Rick!!

I called Rock Landscape & Gardens to see if we could do Senior pictures for my daughter at their property. She wanted flowers and she wasn't disappointed. The owner, Rick, was very friendly and knowledgeable. While we were waiting for our photographer, he walked us around and told us about his gardens and showed us some good spots for pictures. His gardens were beautiful, and we had a great time. Thank you Rick!

I am completely delighted with my first purchase from Rock Landscape & Gardens! All of the hosta plants I received are nice, sturdy, healthy specimens with excellent root systems, and at reasonable prices. They were very carefully packed, and shipped without issue. Rick takes time to offer guidance on planting methods, and is very responsive to questions asked. I'll definitely be ordering here again, and highly recommend this company!

Rick and his team completed clean up, maintenance and mulching to restore of the large perennial beds around my home. The team was very courteous and friendly with an excellent work ethic. Rick is very passionate about plants and gardens. He has extensive knowledge of perennials plants and their care. Rick is very easy to work with and I appreciated recommendations made to enhance the perennial beds. I highly recommend working with Rick.

Richard and his crew were very professional. The work was maticulous and done in a punctional manner. The price was reasonable. I am very happy with the landscaping job that was completed at my home.

We contacted Rick to help us figure out what to do on our new (to us) house. The landscaping has been neglected for several years and is out of control. Rick came out and went through my entire .83 acre property step by step, plant by plant, and told me what needed to be done. We looked at trees that need to come out. Some were very damaged and in danger of falling that I hadn't even noticed. We went over the techniques to get rid of the weeds and keep them from coming back, which ones are weeds and which are flowers (I was surprised!) We covered what to plant to keep my gardens low maintenace and easy to take care of, how to prep the lawn for grass, how to trim my overgrown bushes to make them look better, and discussed a few longer term, bigger projects that could give my yard an amazing facelift. We spent over 2 hours going through everything and for a very reasonable price! (And he wasn't even bothered by our terrible mosquitos) Rick is a wealth of knowledge and is willing to share it, rather than just pushing for a huge contract (which we wouldn't be able to afford and we would be back to square one.) I'm glad I called Rock Landscaping and I will do it again when we want to tackle some of the bigger projects around the house. Call him today, you won't be disappointed!

Rick has such an amazing variety of plants and all super healthy. His Peony gardens are breath taking. He has so many different hostas- I never knew some of the varieties existed or they could get so big!! I highly recommend stopping out to see his gardens and having a chat with Rick- knowledgeable and always willing to help with your landscape/garden projects! A must stop for sure!

Landscaped around my whole house. Love the design Rick drew up. Made my new house look really nice when you drive in.

The products and service were excellent! Time was taken to show and explain how to take care of my garden plants and the pricing was very reasonable. Two green thumbs up!

Go to Rick’s in the fall for the past few years. Spend an entire day with Rick walking through the gardens and talking Hostas. Leave with a full trunk every time and have even made a special fall garden for our the plants we get until we can move them around the garden in the spring. Great guy, great plants and great experience every time.
