I’m always happy with the results and find everyone so helpful and friendly. You can plan projects so that you can start small and build up to what you need by adding projects as you can afford them. Great way to get started when you buy a new home. We’ve been with them for over 20 years.

We have been using Ganshert and Errin’s expertise specifically for over 5 years on various projects. Most recently we built a new house in a neighborhood that has ties with a larger landscaping company. Errin drew up a plan to bring our front rock wall area to life like no one else in the neighborhood. We aren’t even close to it looking like it will when everything is mature but we have heard numerous unprompted comments from our neighbors about how incredible our front rock wall area looks. I give her, her visualization skills and the Ganshert crew the credit for that. Also some to my wife for the upkeep :)

Ganshert has a process in place that takes clients all the way from the initial inquiry, to property visit, to design, and execution. I've never met someone as passionate about her work (and every single tree or shrub!) as Errin. She takes a lot of pride in each landscape design that she creates. I've also had the opportunity to get to know Shelby; she is a friendly voice that might greet you when you first give Ganshert a call. Also - a fun note - Ganshert's facility is housed in a wonderful old barn that has you take a spiral staircase through the silo up to the office!

Paul and his crew designed the landscape for our yard, did the installation and now maintains the landscape. The yard looks amazing. Paul is incredible easy to work with, has high standards, and is very responsive. I could not be happier with the results and the high level of service.

I've known of Ganshert Nursery and Landscaping for over 11 years now and only just this year had the pleasure of experiencing their work. Not often are my expectations exceeded, however with the whole Ganshert experience we were blown away. Sean did an excellent job layout a plan for our plantings and patio and was extremely diligent in his response time. The crew that came out to install the plant material and haul away our old waste where great to work with. Courteous and professional- and HARD Workers. Mike and his crew did an exceptional job with the patio it looks like it came out of a home and garden magazine! So thankful for the work they did and couldn't endorse them more wholeheartedly!!

Ganshert is a fantastic company! They not only care about their landscaping clients but also truly care about their employees. They continually go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. After 70+ years in business they aren't going to leave you hanging like other flashy companies that have only been around a year or two. I'd happily pay a little extra to avoid headaches and redoing things later on. Don't hesitate!

I have been a client since 2020. As a longtime, zone 4 gardener, I had a long list of "must haves" for my new home in Madison. I worked with Sean Pratt as the designer and I welcomed his suggestions for new plants. Sean and Zach Meyer have extensive knowledge and were focused on getting the tasks done efficiently. Although the yard is small, everything was needed from excavation to accent lighting. I continue to rely on Ganshert for landscape expansion and replacing trees due to storm or animal damage. The communication is excellent and Ganshert has a talented crew.

Ganshert replaced our decades-old timber retaining wall with a good-looking stone wall. Everything was handled professionally and courteously from my initial inquiry, to scheduling the estimate, to asking the foreman a zillion questions during the installation, to site cleanup. We could not be happier, both with the result and with the process experience.

Ganshert did both hard scape and landscaping in my yard two years ago, and it is even more beautiful this year than it was when they put it in. Sean is an incredibly talented landscape architect and brought my vision for a park-like setting and gorgeous curved patio to life in my challenging little near-east side yard. We get daily compliments from people walking by about the yard and the plantings. Fairly priced and just wonderful work!! We are using them again this year to landscape our front and side yards.

A windstorm toppled a very large backyard hickory tree, causing significant landscape damage. Rather than just removing the downed tree and living with what plantings survive, we decided to have a couple landscape companies design a plan that would be aesthetically pleasing, long lasting and useful. Sean and his crew totally exceeded our expectations with the installation of a flagstone circular patio, numerous plantings that add color & texture and terraced the area where the hickory tree stump was removed. Taking several weeks to complete, we were always kept informed and they never hesitated to give us suggestions for little "tweaks" that we might like. The crew was always courteous making sure the site was picked up at the end of each work day. We were sad to lose our hickory but so happy that Ganshert transformed our backyard into an inviting place to enjoy going forward.

Sean and his team were fantastic communicators AND excelled at attention to detail. A rare combination to find! As a professional horticulturist, I recommend them with complete confidence. The small details, that could have easily been skipped to expedite the process, were not. They shared ideas, mid-process, that enhanced the project.
