Was looking but didn't buy anything
Tried working with them for a washer repair and they had to reschedule twice, each time moving the appointment 2 months out. Each time I call them, they are unable to help or escalate. Terrible service and unable to keep technicians.
Sears Home Services (SHS) was assigned to me by American Home Shield (AHS), a home appliance insurance company. Our Clothes washer quit on us on March 2. I filed a claim with AHS and was assigned to SHS immediately, with a repair date of March 6. SHS asked, and I gave them details and photos of the washer issue. On March 6, I received a text from SHS saying that we were rescheduled to March 20 and that they were ordering a part for the washer. On March 16, I received a text saying the repair was still on for March 20, but they would like information about the issue (although I had sent them everything already!). I resent all of the information. On March 19, I received a text saying that the repair was completed. I went to the Sears site, and there was nowhere online or a phone number to talk to anyone. I called AHS and explained it to them, asking for expedited service. They got a hold of Sears immediately, and I received a text within minutes saying the repair would be done on March 26 - almost a MONTH after the washer quit! I just got another email from SHS... they need information and photos on the issue needing repair... One star is too high a rating!
If you have a service dog or a disability, never use their service. My mother’s stove top does not work and for Christmas I hired their service to come and fix. I am in the United States Marine Corps and I have a PTSD service dog that is by my side 24 seven. When the technician came to the door, he refused to provide me any service because I had a dog, telling me my dog had to be separated from me. When I declined and told him he was a service dog, he shut the door in my face and walked away without further conversation. He refused to talk to me about rescheduling a service. All he did was scream at me that they will not work if a dog is present and he’s not risking getting bit by a dog. My dog doesn’t bite. He has been trained professionally for my needs. Sears refusing to do a service based on my disability is disgusting. The technician’s name is John Welch ID number 08220. Sears, make this right.
Mike was prompt, courteous, and honest. Service was quick and done right the first time. Love this company!
I had several appliances that weren't working well. I made one phone call, and within a week Michael came and identified the problems. We had to wait a week for a part, but the he returned and fixed things up right. It's a lot cheaper than replacing appliances, and now they work as good as new!
