We contracted with COR to put a sun room addition on our house. It was roughly 14' x 21' plus a full basement below. The sub-contractors were all coordinated and kept to their schedules. The quality of the sub-contractors was excellent. The only variance from the original estimate was where we needed a couple of changes due to some underground electrical and water lines not found via Diggers Hotline and some HVAC changes we opted to make due to equipment age. The final result was on time and on budget and turned out great. I highly recommend the company and Maretes, the owner really has raving fans.

COR did not provide the quality and value that we expected for our recent, March 2020 to August 2020, bathroom remodel.

Design, coordination, communication, workmanship and efficiency were not up to reasonably expected standards. Our house was not even properly secured when work was done in our absence.

The little 5 by 9 bathroom project that we were told would take about 4 to 6 weeks ended up taking 18 weeks. The project also consumed an unreasonable amount of our time and energy to monitor results and point out errors i.e. tile laid improperly, half-wall not square, etc.

We would not use COR Improvements again and would not recommend COR Improvements to others.

I heard nothing but wonderful things about Maretes and her company. I was really impressed with her communication and the work she produced that I decided to hire her to build my salon suites at Good Hair Day MKE. I started working with her back in mid December 2014-March 2015. It was a MAJOR renovation job, 2000 sq ft, 9 suites, manicure/pedicure area, bathroom, and waiting area, all built from scratch. Custom build cabinetry/countertop with shampoo bowls installed in each suite, new flooring, electrical, plumbing, HVAC system, fire sprinklers, painting, putting together equipments, etc. It was the most stressful time I went through from purchasing my salon to completing construction in 2.5 months in order to open on time. There were a fair share of unforseen stuff that occured which was out of our control. But Maretes was always quick to work around the unforseen stuff, made my life so much easier because she was on top of every aspect, regularly stopped by to make sure everything was running smoothly and made sure everything was up to code for inspection to pass. She also communicated with me on a daily basis, calmed down my nerves and went above and beyond. She even went as far as making sure the inspector would show up to the salon as scheduled and when that fell apart on the day of (the scheduled inspector called in sick at last minute), she kept calling the supervisor and demanded that they send another inspector which he finally gave in and showed up himself. If she did not go above and beyond to make this work, I would not have been able to open my salon as scheduled! And the best part was I had no idea of the hot mess that transpired that morning until after giving me the good news that I could officially open my salon. That alone shows us what a great, hardworking person she is, that she will take on any issues that arise just to alleviate your stress! I honestly do not know what I would do without her and her team. Another part that stood out about her is the fact that she throughly listened to all of my visions and was not quick to shut down any ideas I had. If there were any part I was unsure about or changed my mind, she was quick to work around that.

I hired her again around end of April 2020 while my salon was shutdown due to Covid. I had to install new floorings due to water damage coming in from outside building (which the condo association is working on). Maretes, her project manager, and her team was able to complete the flooring and repaint within two weeks and right in time to reopen. It was a wonderful experience working with her and her team again. And BONUS, they have a really cool set up where you can check through an app daily and see the progress they made, posted daily updates, information and pictures. I communicated with her project manager daily which was still great and very effective.

I will always stick with Maretes and her team for anything I need, especially future projects. I am hoping to expand and she will always be the person to go to! She works really hard to be one of the best company, to go above and beyond, have excellent communication skills, makes sure she hires top notch reputable contractors, have trustworthy team staff, and will work with ANY issues you may have. She will always make sure you are left completely happy with the results!!

We did two back-to-back projects with Cor improvements. One was a complete bathroom remodel (with age in place features) and the other involved taking down a supporting wall between two rooms (and making it one room.) Their communication with us was extraordinary during the project and they were very responsive when problems arose. They dealt well with the surprises that arise with remodeling in older houses. The quality of the work is excellent and they dealt well with the village inspectors.

COR Improvements has been amazing to work with. Their attention to detail is remarkable, and the transformation that took place with our kitchen and bath was amazing. We received at least weekly communication with updates as things progressed. Every person who came in to do work was professional and so easy to work with. This was the second project we have used them for and as far as I am concerned, the only company we would use for our improvement projects.

COR Improvements was great to work with from beginning to end on our kitchen remodel. They listened to what we wanted and worked with us to create a design at a manageable budget for us. The project included a complete kitchen remodel and new flooring and trim throughout main living space. They were professional, responsive, on time and within budget…not sure what else you could ask for.

We hired COR to do a complete remodel of our kitchen/dinning room/bathroom on first floor. The project was a big undertaking requiring walls to come down and relocating a bathroom. Everyone at COR from the staff to the contractors were professional and great to work with. They were great at communicating updates as the project progressed and following up with us on things they needed from us. We have heard horror stories of others who have done remodeling projects and are happy to say that COR was the complete opposite and a joy to work with.

Maretes was just the best to work with - so professional and fun to work with on this project. They really took our vision and made it into a reality. We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to do a remodeling project and would use them again in the future!

Still waiting. Problem "acknowledged" but nothing has changed since photos below. I am spending money to go through a tedious legal process two months after the leak that COR caused was discovered. Our living room ceiling under the MB looked like this 3 weeks after master bath and kitchen remodel finally "finished", and almost one year after the start date. Flaw in the shower construction and hole in ceiling not fixed yet.
Contractor made a hole in the ceiling to try to find the leak and now trying to get me to sign a waiver to release obligation for further claims BEFORE THEY REPAIR THE HOLE THEY MADE!

"We are willing and able to repair the drywall on the ceiling and move the piano to its original location.
Based upon your recent statements regarding other issues/concerns, we will be unable to perform the above referenced work until you execute a full release as to past, present and future claims against COR"

Verbatim email from the owner- trying to use the hole they made as leverage to stop me from trying to get them to fix their work.
Do you want to deal with a contractor who treats you like this when they already got your money, the work is under ^warranty" and there is a problem? Refusing to fix bench seat that slopes AWAY from shower letting water pool and causing leak. Their solution was caulk (that doesn't even match) on the surface of the bench seat as a cover up to a failed water barrier underneath! I can and will go on about this company. Long list of missed deadlines and screw ups to follow.

The reason we chose COR Improvements was because of their reputation for their high touch client experience. We were not disappointed!

From the beginning their attention to detail and setting expectations was clear and easy to follow. Each team we encountered was easy to work with, responded quickly to all of our questions and communicated often and clearly throughout the remodel. We ran into an unforeseen delay, as is likely in a remodel, and new plans were quickly put in place to minimize the delay.

The teams that COR Improvements brought into our home were nice, polite and efficient; I’m glad we didn’t have to organize all those moving parts!!

Following flooding, we contracted with COR to restore our basement to service. They did a wonderful job of listening to our priorities and restoring things to match our vision. Communication was excellent and the project proceeded smoothly with an early and on budget completion. They even graciously took on a few additional small household projects midstream. Maretes, Jim, Lee and all the contractors were very considerate and professional. We were away for part of the time they were working, and they took good care of our home. When minor challenges occurred, they were quick to discuss options with me and to address the concern effectively. My husband and I are very happy with the work they provided. I would not hesitate to call them again for additional remodeling work.

Above and beyond customer service. I reached out to COR Improvements with a project request that ended up not being within the services they provide. While most companies have just not responded to me, COR emailed me back promptly. Not only did they let me know that my project wasn't in their scope, but they also sent me a short list of their recommendations of contractors that could support me. It was generous of them to go out of their way to provide recommendations outside of their company, without even being asked. If I do have a project within their services in the future, I will certainly be getting a quote from them.

We recently worked with COR Improvements on an addition to our home in Wauwatosa. We couldn't be happier with the results and the experience! Our project was a bit complicated — it involved building a new garage with a second-floor master suite above and connecting it to our existing 1920 home. COR managed the process with expertise and creativity. We've received numerous compliments from our neighbors regarding how the addition blends perfectly with our existing home and "looks like it was always there." Throughout the project, the COR team was thoughtful and professional. Their communication was outstanding. They consistently provided updates, guidance and suggestions; and kept us well-informed during construction. Perhaps most important, all of the people involved in the project (both from the COR team and their subcontractors' teams) were great to work with. It was evident that they cared about our project. When engaging in a large construction project that involved a lot of people in and out of our home, it's great to be working with people that you like and trust. Absolutely outstanding experience! We did a kitchen remodel. We removed a wall to do an open concept to make our small home look and feel larger. We LOVE our space! Maretes was incredible from day one with our kitchen and guest bathroom remodel. We did a full kitchen remodel and almost a full bathroom (we left the existing floors). She listened to what was important to us as the client and used that information to draw up her plans. In less than 2 months, we were able to see her vision come to life with a kitchen more beautiful than we could have imagined and a modern, stunning bathroom. COR did a wonderful job on our large home remodeling project in Waukesha. They did the full design and construction, and took the entire house down to the studs and delivered a wonderful, high-quality project. New kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living spaces. New Garage. All new equipment. Completed on time and on budget with very few change orders, all of which I requested. No surprises. This firm is very honest and do what they say, when they say they are going to do it. I would hire them again to do any sort of remodeling project in the future without hesitation. 5 STARS.
