I called Affordable Tree Service on a Sunday around noon to grind 4 stumps (smallest of which was 12" in diameter and was a job that another company claimed they couldn't do). Within an hour, David got back to me and asked if he could come out that afternoon. Upon arrival he asked me about the job and what my intentions were for the area around the stumps he was going to grind down. Once the plan was figured out, he immediately got to work. When completed, he asked me to check the area over to ensure my satisfaction. He definitely went above and beyond even helping me move boulders (4 or 5 of them and each at least 200 lbs). I would definitely use Affordable Tree Service for future jobs. Thank you David!

Prompt, professional, polite and personable! Trimmed three mature trees and they look amazing! They were careful not to tear up the grass with their large equipment and left my yard immaculate, carrying away all of the branches they trimmed. I highly recommend this team!

I initially called Affordable Tree service this spring for a quote to cut down 12 ash trees (first of two phases). I was looking only to have the trees dropped in place and the branches chipped. None of the trees required climbing or topping. I planned to cut and chop the wood myself. The owner, Dave, arrived and immediately assumed a surly attitude. When I attempted to point out the specific trees to remove, he stopped me, and verbally quoted me $8,500. He launched into a diatribe about other tree services and how he wouldn't be the least expensive since he had expensive equipment and needed to pay for it. As I mentioned that I already had a couple quotes, he pressed me for the names of the other services. I didn't share the other vendors or their quotes. I ended up with 3 other quotes that all fell between $1,200 and $3,000. Ultimately, I chose a vendor who did a terrific job for $1,200.

A few days ago, I was in the process of getting quotes for the second phase (12 additional ash trees + stump removal), and I contacted Affordable again to quote (frankly I forgot about my earlier experience with Dave). Dave came out to my home. It quickly became apparent that Dave had no intention of quoting. As I started to point out the trees, he cut me off to say that he wasn't going to waste my time or his as he would not be quoting me. He then proceeded to lambast me. He indicated that I was clearly not a loyal customer as I did not give this additional work to my original vendor. Further, the original vendor had done a very poor job as they had not cut off the stumps close to the ground and other complaints. He ranted for another few minutes before I politely thanked him for his time and showed him off my property.

Dave is a stand up guy. Cant say enough about his willingness to help, professionalism and dedication to the art of arborculture. He has built his business on honesty and hard work. Great to see a good guy succeed.

We had a "treemergency". A tree was going to fall on our house. Dave came out on a Sunday, looked at it, rearranged his week, and was here on Monday removing the dangerous tree! Additionally he cleared out a whole bunch of dead stuff and removed trees that were growing around our chimney. He was really friendly, professional and great to work with! I will recommend Affordable Tree Service to everyone I know.

Called Dave to pick up wood that had been cut earlier. He came the same day on a Saturday. He was at my house within an hour and finished rather quickly. He also took my stumps down to ground level which the other tree cutters didn't do. Excellent service!

We used Affordable Tree Service a number of times, Dave is great to work with, always on time, all his workers are very courteous. The clean up is unbelievable when they are done with the job. Dave got down on his knees to brush saw dust off one of my plants.

I have called Affordable Tree Service on 2 separate occasions when I have lost trees in wind storms. Dave responded immediately both times and provided same day service, which wasn’t expected, but sure was nice, especially since one of the times was on a Saturday and the other time my driveway was blocked by a fallen tree. Dave is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. The cleanup was exceptional, beyond what I’d expect. I also like that he offers stump grinding.

Dave and his crew are absolutely top notch. We have used Affordable Tree Service for various tree issues over the past 7 years (tree trimming, large shrub removal and stump grinding, and more recently, partial tree removal plus storm clean up) and have always received high quality, honest, professional, and friendly service. Dave is exceptionally responsive and is a great guy to work with. They get to work fast, are very respectful of your property and always clean up afterwards. Dave is great! Easy to work with and got the job done quick. 2 large trees both hanging over my house. Cleaned up the yard nice and even cleaned out my gutters. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with Dekrey Tree Worx. Chris removed 5 trees, ground the stumps, and even installed a thru bolt to support another tree. He worked carefully around multiple complex obstacles—power lines, a fence, chimney, and garage—which was really impressive to watch. He was professional, efficient, and made the whole process completely hassle-free. The cleanup was as good as you can expect with tree removal and stump grinding—really impressed overall. Would definitely recommend!
