I have used Hillestad on 3 occasions this past year ( 2 preventive maintenance visits and a whole house humidifier install). Each occasion was pleasant and professional, from the scheduler in the office to the technician (Tristan) that came to our house. I recommend Hillestad.

Ryan and Justyn were professional and knowledgeable. They did a great job installing a new AC unit for us. They even cleaned up the area around the unit and made it look good.

Our AC unit stopped working in the midst of a heat wave. I called in the morning for service and a technician came that afternoon. He correctly identified the problem as a faulty capacitor, replaced it, and the unit works well again. I was very impressed, and the price of the repair was reasonable.

Installation of new Bryant AC and Furnace to replace very old units in our 100-yr-old house. Major compliments to our installers who made special adaptations to our vintage duct work and wiring. Very clean, thoughtful installation inside and out, followed by a clear explanation of the operation of the new system. Highest recommendation.

I recently had Hillestad recommended to me from Association where I have a vacation rental. The furnace and air needed replacing. So I hired Hillestad. When it was done I was contacted by Nick Lange, who I initially dealt with.
By chance I went up to rental property to set up for season. Upon checking the furnace , I was horrified. The duct work had huge gaps and openings through out.I had been literally air conditioning the crawl space the entire week after they were done. And new thermostat I paid for was never installed.
I immediately wrote Nick and he followed up with a call. He said his men were very good and had been with Hillestad for awhile. He said he would personally check it out and make necessary repairs, which he did.
I've yet to have a chance to see repairs and need to arrange to have Association review it.
Hillestads' quality of work was sub par in my case.and it is questionable that my particular case is an anomaly.

Horrible customer service with attitude. I am glad I did not even hire them.

These guys came in to our business looked at a refrigerator we purchased, Misdiagnosed what was wrong with it on several occasions. Finally because they missed a slow fan and couldn’t figure it out, they allowed our compressor to burn up! Now they won’t make good on the repair, they’re in complete denial, won’t answer emails etc. stay away at all costs! This company is crooked.
