Electrical reviews in Madison, Wisconsin

Recently bought a house and had a ton of electrical work done including: canned lighting installed in the main living room/hallway, chandelier installed with new electrical, ceiling lights/fans installed in every bedroom, dimmer switches added, and several light fixtures installed throughout. Matt was wonderful to work with, he took the time to explain the situation and what work needed to be done before doing it (which I really appreciated), and he made great recommendations, and made our vision for design come to life. And he's just a great person overall with a good attitude. We spent over $12k but it was worth it. Would recommend to others.

Jacob and his helper did an excellent job installing a charging unit for my EV.
I will definitely use Helping Hands Electric for any future projects. -
I was impressed with the level of communication Helping Hands Electric gave when we were looking for repair/replacement of the outlet to our dryer. Calls were answered and returned promptly by Chris who was informative and helpful. I received a text showing that Peter would be arriving with his picture and vehicle information, providing a level of safety that I appreciated. Peter was friendly and explained the process completely, giving options on the level of work that was needed and other work that was optional if we wanted to add services. His work work was efficient, thorough and well-done. I would highly recommend Helping Hands Electric and we plan to call them again in the future!

As always, Helping Hands did a great job helping! We have had them install much new ceiling lighting plus help solve problems with existing lighting. They also installed a charging system for our electric car. They always do a wonderful job!

Our electrician came on time and I discussed the problem with ceiling lights. Mathew offered two possibilities that caused the problem. One was changing a dimmer switch or the second was an issue with the light sockets themselves. The second would involve replacing the sockets with updated and better sockets. The second would cost more. After discussing the options I decided to change out the dimmer switch and buy some higher quality dimmerable bulbs. I was given an estimate for the second option. If changing the switch and bulbs solves the problem, good. But if the problem returns, I will replace the sockets with the upgrades.

Employees are knowledgeable about available rebates and how to apply for those. They are friendly and provided multiple quotes in order to have options to meet financial needs. It was a great experience utilizing Helping Hands!

Matt is exceptional in every way. There wasn't a question he didn't answer, a speck of debris he failed to remove. He took a difficult installation and made it look easy. All while smiling and being cordial. I will be proud to recommend him to my friends who need a good electrician

Wow! What a great electrician. Peter came to our house and fixed what had been a stubborn problem with our breaker box and one main floor room. He explained everything he was doing and showed me the bad breakers so I could understand why the outlets and lights were flickering and finally went dark completely. I paid $600 for 4 hours of work and parts. He left the room looking much better and safer than when he arrived. I will definitely call him again.

Helping Hands Electric is amazing. I was able to get an appointment in just a couple days. They texted when the technician was on his way, with a photo and a real-time map so we could anticipate his arrival to the minute. Matt arrived on time, explained everything very thoroughly, and was extremely safety conscious. The price was pretty reasonable for the services provided. Matt was very professional and cleaned up everything afterward. He even offered to take our old ceiling fan to dispose of it for us. I will definitely call them for any future electrician needs. I highly recommend this company and Matt!

Helping hands electric couldn’t have been more helpful. They were on time, they asked what we wanted, and then made sure that it would happen. They were personable and respectful of our personal space given that they were working in our bathrooms. I can’t see enough good about them. We’ve had bad experiences with electricians, but this was such a great experience, we now have new electricians! Hire Helping Hands! You won’t be sorry!

Quick, affordable, and professional. Chris helped set up my service call within 10 minutes of my calling, and Ader was at my house within an hour, and the job was done in a few hours. I will be recommending this company to anyone in need of HVAC or electrical service!

They got me in the schedule 2 hours after I initially emailed, project was complete that same day without any issues. About as seamless and friendly as one could ask for. Matt was our electrician, prior to arrival we got a text with his photo and approx time of arrival, he was super friendly, patient and honest, not to mention efficient and courteous of our home. Before any payment was asked for we inspected the project together and he made sure it was as expected.

We needed to move our dryer outlet and convert the outlet to a 4-pronged 200 amps. When I called them to explain what we needed done, Matt came out ths next morning to give us an estimate. Matt was extremely professional and knowledgeable in what needed to be done. He said he could do it that same day. I did not expect that. We called a different company and received an estimate several days prior to calling Helping Hands Electric. They wouldn't be able to do the work for 2 weeks. They also needed 2 electricians to complete the work. Matt had the work done by himself in about 4 hours. I would absolutely recommend Helping Hands Electric!

This is the second time I've used Helping Hands and couldn't be happier! Their communication process is streamlined and transparent, which makes planning for house projects a breeze.
Matt W. completed the work on my bathroom exhaust fan and was quick yet thorough. He also did a great job of cleaning up after himself and even greeted my dogs on his way out. :) I'll continue to use and recommend Helping Hands in the future! -
One of the light switches in our small business (hair salon) jammed out of nowhere. This switch controls half the lights in the salon, so we needed help ASAP. I called Helping Hands early on a Monday morning, and Ader was able to arrive within 90 minutes. He was very nice and replaced the light switches in a timely manner. The price was also very reasonable! Especially for something so last minute.

I wanted to wait a little while before leaving a review, just to be sure I had a reliable experience to review.
I had under cabinet lighting put in about 6 weeks ago. A couple of weeks before that, Matt came out and told me pretty much everything they would need to do to get the job completed. He also gave me a tour of where what would need to be done. Shortly after that visit I was sent a quote.
When making the appointment, they made clear the difficulty and how long it would likely take to complete.
Day of, Matt and AJ made faster work of the wiring with far less wall repair needed (I have plaster and lathe walls) than I expected. And since I was home, they gave me options for how I'd like them to approach each issue they encountered; I always took their advice because it seemed logical.
I am super happy with the work Matt and AJ from Helping Hands did for me. I'll call them again. -
I was surprised to find out that installing a Level 2 EV charger in my garage would cost over $3000 (including for the Universal Charger which I purchased online for $600) but I was satisfied that the estimate was fair and the work done by the electrician Jacob Partoll was first rate! Our electric panel was located on the other side of the house from the garage. My wife has a Toyota Rav 4 Prime but my daughter and her husband drive a Tesla so it is nice to be able to charge both vehicles with this Universal Charger. The Waunakee Utility provides a $250 rebate and the US government tax credit of up to $1000. I presume that the EV charger installation will be an additional selling point for our home down the line if we decide to down-size. So, I decided to proceed despite the cost.
