Our Generac standby generator needed warranty work and we found Richland Home Power on their website. We called and Lucas was out within a couple days. He quickly diagnosed the issue and coordinated the warranty claim with Generac. While he was here, he also installed a whole house surge protector which we knew we needed. Lucas was extremely knowledgeable and professional and we’d recommend Richland Home Power.

We had Richland home power out several years ago to install a whole house generator for us. The entire process was very professional, and very comfortable. The quote is exactly what we paid and the work was done on time. We’ve had several power outages since we’ve had it installed, and it is worked exactly as we had hoped it would. We would highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible experience. Jeremy, Lucas and The Master Jim were outstanding in every way. Requested a quote from Generac on Saturday morning around 10. Even though they were closed Jeremy called around 11. Appt scheduled for Monday at 1. We accepted the offer and our standby generator was installed on Tuesday. Propane upgrade was finished by Wednesday and activation finalized on Thursday. Im told a new world record for Richland Home Power. Hands down these guys get it done. My wife and I could not be happier. Richland are the electricians youre looking for.....

My Kohler generator was having "issues"! It would not start. I called Richland Home Power, talked with Jeramie and described what was happening. Jeramie said, "I will send my son, Lucas, over. He is certified to work on Kohler generators."

Lucas thoroughly cleaned the generator, identified the problem and has the generator up and running. This young man (and he IS young; yes, he is old enough to drive, I asked him!) takes great pride in his work. I could see the sense of accomplishment in his face and eyes when the generator was performing as it should. The grin from ear to ear was priceless.

Before Lucas left, we talked briefly about the generator and he answered my questions. He was very polite and treated me with respect.

Called regarding warranty work on a Generac home standby generator. Person I spoke with was argumentative off the bat and made it clear that they had zero interest in performing warranty work on a generator that was installed by somebody else.

I've never found myself arguing with somebody so shortly after starting a conversation with them in my life. Would avoid like the plague.

Response to owner:

1) Right off the bat you tried to find any reason not to come out to service the unit, even though I was willing to pay for a service visit

2) I specifically told you that the unit was 2, maybe 3 years old... I don't know where you're getting 4 from

3) Page 25 of the service manual states "Generac Power Systems, Inc. recommends that all maintenance work be performed by an Independent Authorized Service Dealer (IASD)."

4) If none of the certified dealers are willing to come out to perform maintenance, how am I supposed to maintain the unit? I was told when I purchased the unit that maintenance could be performed by Generac service dealers

Being told "Fix it yourself" is not what owners of these units are looking to hear when they're having problems.
