Full Spectrum Solar installed out rooftop system in Jan 2025 and turned on Feb 2025. The process was transparent from initial proposal to the changes requested by me all the way to the final installation. I am very happy how the system has performed so far and their support through the initial start and answering questions and providing guidance the first few weeks.

I chose Full Spectrum Solar based on positive reviews on Nextdoor. They made the process very easy, answered all my questions, and did the work efficiently with no mess left behind. They even petted my dogs! I am very pleased!

Great job from Full Spectrum on our rooftop residential install. The price was fair. The work accommodated our needs around appearance (great job to electrician Rick on his conduiting), and care for our roof. Brent, our project manager, stayed on top of WE Energies to make sure that all of the paperwork kept moving forward. We definitely would recommend Full Spectrum Solar.

Had a contract in Madison for solar installation. The family situation changed and we moved to Waukesha. We needed to build a garage so Full Spectrum Solar redesigned everything for the new garage, worked around the building schedule and with We ENERGY. I am extremely happy with all phases of the installation and performance of my rooftop solar installation from Full Spectrum Solar. Ron Chester, the project manager, was thorough and careful. His analysis of my home and what would be the optimal installation was far more detailed and evidence-based than any of the competitive bids I received. He did an on-site inspection (not done by others) and gave me a proposal that considered among other parameters the roof angle and orientation, the possible need for additional roof support, the presence of surrounding structures, and my electric usage for the previous year.

All the staff involved from start to finish, from the electricians to the roof installers were on time as promised, efficient, and respectful of my property. They cleaned up after they completed their work. They answered all my many questions thoroughly. It turned out that the installation was less complicated than in the initial bid, and they reduced the cost of the installation accordingly. Their followup up after the installation has been superb.

I recommend Full Spectrum Solar without any hesitation whatsoever.

Full Spectrum Solar installed a 7kw for our home in Waunakee. Everything went great. Very good communication and fair pricing compared to the "door to door" competition.

Ron at Full Spectrum Solar was very helpful on solving the microinverter problem. He gave me detailed instructions on how to contact Enphase to assess the problem. Within 2 business days after receiving the replacement microinverter, they were here to replace it.

We've used Full Spectrum for 2 projects - an initial installation and a subsequent addition to the first installation. In both cases the required paperwork was clear, the projected timeline was fairly accurate and the price quoted was the price we paid. I have a small quibble with the placement of one panel in the addition, but on the whole our experience has been positive, and I'd use them again. (Follow-up: After reading this review, Full Spectrum reached out to me and addressed my one concern. That level of customer service is VERY impressive!)

Full Spectrum installed our rooftop system in 2021 and went the extra mile at every step to make sure things were just as we wanted.

From the initial consultation with Nick to installation with with the electricians and crew, every member of the staff made sure details were to our liking and well suited to the house: from shading analysis to equipment specification, placement details and conduit routes.

Their production estimates were much more accurate than those from other companies, and the complete system looks great. Everything is nicely packaged from roof to meter.

Full Spectrum knows what they are doing. They are definitely the pros in town, and they always get my full recommendation to friends and family interested in home solar.

Some call him the bearded man, others the solar shaman, others still, Todd… all I know is he should be running the company. We expanded our existing system by adding 75 panels, the bearded man made it happen. He should really be running the company. Additionally, instead of a chipped corner, the solar shaman gave us unexpected symmetry to our array geometry. He really should be running the company. Todd also generously made some personalized tie dye shirts which was very much appreciated. Did I mention, he really should be running the company.

Full Spectrum Solar installed solar panels at Mary House of Hospitality in October of 2018 and we are extremely happy with the project. Mary House is a small non- profit providing hospitality to children and families visiting the Oxford federal prison. Full Spectrum really worked with us to make the system affordable and helped us with fundraising by being willing to put time into designing and planning before we were in a position to sign a contract. They made several site visits even though we are about an hour north of Madison, and they were extremely helpful in planning and sizing the project to work with both our electrical usage and our budget. They put extra time into designing several options, and were very patient with the time it took us to settle on a plan. They worked with us to design a structure to mount the panels on, and helped us save quite a bit by generously coaching us through building the structure ourselves. (Even being reachable by phone on weekends!) They did a wonderful job of working with our local utility company ( Adams Columbia Electric Co-op) to be sure everything went smoothly when the system went online and to help us qualify for a Focus on Energy grant. They were flexible and easy to work with in scheduling the actual installation and all of their work was excellent — they were prompt, well organized and efficient, enthusiastic, kind, patient and very professional.
Full Spectrum Solar also installed rooftop solar panels on my house in Madison in 2016, and that system has worked flawlessly. It was a much smaller project, but the company was every bit as helpful, responsive, professional and easy to work with. They’ve checked back several times to be sure the panels are working well, and I’m totally confident that they’ll be available if I ever have a problem with the system.
I would absolutely recommend this company.

Just an update - it’s a year later and our system is working flawlessly- having survived a wind storm last fall that flattened our wood shed, a hail storm, heavy rains, and the coldest sub-zero, snowiest winter anyone can remember!

They did an excellent job installing 26 solar panels and went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. Ron, the manager, was exceptionally responsive and a pleasure to work with—always quick to answer questions and provide updates. Thank you to the entire team for the great service!

A++ communication and professionalism from Full Spectrum Solar and Ron Chester (Program Manager)! When we rebuilt our shed in rural Beaver Dam township, we designed it for solar panels which will generate about 80% of our total home electric needs (including charging our electric vehicle). Compared to working with the building contractors, Full Spectrum Solar was amazing— they were on time, on budget and they cleaned up the work site. Ron answered all of our questions, even the technical ones (we had a lot of them). He handled township permits and all of the Alliant Energy utility paperwork. He even submitted the Focus on Energy rebate for us, and we received that check in the mail before our final installation invoice was due. We are 100% satisfied and highly recommend Full Spectrum Solar.

We really enjoyed working with Full Spectrum Solar to get started producing our own residential power. Staff were very knowledgeable, capable, and pleasant. Felt like we were welcomed into a movement towards more sustainability. We originally envisioned panels on our house, but learned that the roof could not support the weight on this almost 100 year old house built of recycled wood. Full Spectrum Solar came up with an alternative plan to use our garage roof and we are pleased as punch.

After researching for a while, I decided to work with Full Spectrum for our solar install, and I am delighted with the outcome.
From the beginning, the PM (Ron C.) was helpful, knowledgeable, and transparent with the process. He has remained involved from the proposal through the final install.
The install crew was pleasant and efficient, both on the roof as well as in the home for all electrical work. And the attention to details - you won't find this level of quality with the door-to-door solar installers. Small things like leveling of panels, taking extra time to hide the conduit (honestly, who wants a giant run of electrical conduit run down the side of their home?), to picking up the smallest pieces of insulation after being in the attic - it all speaks to the quality, care, and pride that Full Spectrum Solar has in their work.

Jennifer Linden, project leader, answered all of my questions promptly and thoroughly. She kept me informed on every step. Her easy-going manner, sense of humor and extensive knowledge of solar technology made the project fun and exciting. During the commissioning phase, she explained in detail how the system works and she and Ron Chester spent extra time making certain everything was in perfect order. Dieter Dettling, technician, went above and beyond in assessing all the possible panel configurations to achieve the most efficient output. If you’re looking for a solar company, this is the one!
