Charlie from Olson updated our carbon monoxide detector in the underground parking garage. I like to review the repairs after to understand what and why. Charlie explained how the sensor worked, and explained all the process of installing and checking the sensor. Charlie (from Olson Heating and Cooling in Mt. Horeb, WI) installed a new smart thermostat for me. I'd had a look at the "easy installation" instructions, but after I removed the old thermostat, I realized that it was going to be way more complicated than the web video had made it look.

Charlie was on time, efficient, and effective. He went one step further and suggested that he install a "com" wire to greatly reduce the need for battery changes in the new thermostat. It all took very little time. I was impressed at his efficiency, friendliness, and professionalism.

I'm pleased that Olson Heating and Cooling is in town. I recommend them and will use their services again if ever the need should arise.

The gentleman who installed by new water heater did an excellent job. I commend them on how they cleaned up after the job was completed. Be proud of your workmanship!!!

A bit frustrated with the cost of the service. Everyone was nice to work with and they were great communicators, its just tough to swallow a $150 call charge and $80 for the small amount of work that was done. All I expected was that my blower CFM wasn't quite set right and now I'm paying a $240 bill... I guess that's on me for not inquiring about call charges and hourly rates. $150 just to come to your house seems excessive, I want others to learn from my mistake.

Stan, Charlie and their crew members are always on time, on budget, communicative and genuinely and a real pleasure. They installed both a ground-source geothermal system and a mini-split system for us. They are the absolute best!

We are still waiting to receive our bill. The service was excellent and so far the unit has been working. We got heat and the unit has been keeping up on these cold days. Yea.

We will be lifetime customers of Olson! We have an old house and that creates tons of fun challenges. When I was pregnant, we spent months and thousands of dollars trying to make the nursery warmer. We used other companies who were usually fine, but we still didn’t have the room warm enough. When we got a crazy quote from one of them, we called Olson, and we’ll never use anyone else! Charlie had a creative solution that turned the coldest room in the house into the warmest room in the house. After thousands of dollars… Charlie had the answer, and was the least expensive thing anybody had tried. I wish we’d found him sooner! Charlie has also come out same-day when our AC broke, and has fixed our boiler. I can’t rave about Charlie enough, it seems like he knows everything!

Olson installed the geothermal system for the previous home owner 10+ years ago. When we as new homeowners called them, they remembered the house and were very courteous. Charlie came over for an inspection and regular maintenance. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful (and was a pleasure to talk with). I highly recommend them!

The installation of our new furnace was quick and convenient for us. The price was much lower than we were expecting. We have been with them for 21 years and look forward to the continued service.

I like dealing with Olson Heating for a couple reasons - 1) I have their contract, meaning they are proactive in scheduling both summer and winter maintenance. Secondly, although I wasn't planning on getting a new furnace, Stan made the decision of selection painlessly easy. I'd spent about $800 in '24 for some gas part and this year the blower fan went out, requiring a $1400 new fan and A-coil (as it froze). Rather than having these impromptu repairs, I suggested looking into buying a new furnace, replacing my twelve year old system. Meanwhile, Olson put in a loaner fan for zero cost until the new furnace could be installed. IMO, very generous to do that. So, purchased a 2-stage, variable-speed gas furnace which was painlessly installed by three technicians. It is so quiet I don't even know if it is running. The warranty is very generous. I'm a happy camper.

Our furnace went out right after Christmas, and we were hosting our elderly parents, and our daughter and her family including a baby. We desperately needed help, and Olsons was able to service us right away. We were so grateful! The men installed a new furnace that same day. They were kind and respectful of our property and did a great job!
