Legacy Outdoor Services is the only service of this type that I will use. They have done multiple projects for me over the course of the last few years. Their workers are always respectful and courteous. As a woman with workers on my property, that is very important to me. They truly go the extra mile in making sure that I am completely satisfied with their work. Whenever the opportunity arises, I am happy to recommend Legacy to anyone who needs work done, and I do so with the utmost confidence in the caliber of work that they will provide.

First let me say that my wife and I are extremely pleased with the work. More importantly, Abraham and his crew were phenomenal. They were cognizant of the fact that my neighbors and I are all working from home and kept the noise at a minimum. They went out of their way not to leave a mess after the first day after asking what our HOA restrictions were. When they were finished, they had filled in the large hole my dogs had dug and placed down a few pieces of sod to cover some bare spots. Truly outstanding service.

Lastly, when they were finished, and before they left, your team saw one of my neighbors struggling to unload a trailer. They offered to help unload the heavy item for him. They were truly great ambassadors for the company.

We have some pretty grand plans for our back yard that will stretch over the next couple of years. After this experience, I guarantee that we will be reaching back out to Legacy Outdoor Services.

We chose Legacy Outdoor Services to implement the first phase of a multi-year landscape plan for our new house. It was an excellent experience all around and we are very, very pleased with the results. Everyone there is a pleasure to work with. Paul walked through the project with us when he did our estimate, and proposed several changes to our designer’s plan that were improved solutions to fix our yard’s drainage challenges. Jessica, the office manager, was always responsive to questions, and Tami did a great job hunting down the plants we selected — which wasn’t that easy in September. When they couldn’t find the specific plants on our plan, she collaborated with us to select acceptable substitutes.
Austin, our project manager, and his crew were wonderful. They are great guys, hard workers, and do an amazing job. Even the installation was a collaborative experience. Austin suggested an additional dry creek bed on the side of the yard to deal with the excess water that funnels into our yard from the neighbor’s driveway. We are looking forward to working with Legacy again next year when we install the next phase of our landscape plan!

Where to begin?

Legacy did a large backyard project for me during a pool installation. I contracted Legacy to do grading, backfill, retaining wall, and concrete work as a part of this job. The frustration I experienced throughout the work cannot be expressed enough in this review. Not only was Legacy terrible at communicating, Paul (the owner) outright blamed me for problems that were encountered.

Paul helped lay out a plan with me verbally, but never gave me any drawings or CAD work with what was to be done. This resulted in me having to spend every single day watching the crew work to make sure mistakes weren’t being made since Paul very rarely showed up at my house. Here’s a short list of things that went wrong:

- Legacy delivered 3 separate loads of gravel and dropped them in the street in front of my house without notification and without a plan to use the gravel for several days. No safety cones, no reflectors, nothing. Just a gray mountain of gravel that was a huge risk to traffic during night hours.
- My retaining wall was built several feet from where it was supposed to be based on our design.
- The stairs for my retaining wall were built crooked and with no plan for consistent step height; the crew said they’d just figure it out by shortening steps along the way.
- My concrete has multiple areas of inconsistent mixing that has resulted in it literally breaking away like wet sand. Legacy repaired one of these areas, but has refused to return my calls for warranty service to address the others.
- The drainage plan Paul told his crew to implement was one that would result in 1/4” drop over 40 feet. Code is 1/4” per foot. When I confronted Paul about this, he expressed frustration at me and said I should listen to him because he knows what he is doing.

This project ended up taking months to complete because Legacy continued to prioritize other projects in the middle of my work, forcing me to wait for the crew to return (sometimes for weeks). When they did show up, it was unannounced so I really had no idea what to expect day to day.

I don’t blame the actual landscaping crew for any of these issues - the workers were friendly and hardworking. I believe Legacy management has set them up for failure with the way the business is being run by cutting corners on project planning and supervision.

When it came time to settle up on payment, Legacy presented me with a list of additional fees they had itemized during the course of performing the work at my house. Never was a single one of these fees discussed with me at any point during the course of the work. I signed change orders based on some additional work I requested along the way, but this did not prevent Legacy from making up an additional list of items they thought should be charged extra.

In the end, the completed work is acceptable and the price was fair, but it came at a massive mental investment in dealing with frustrations along the way. If you’re planning a big project, I highly suggest you reconsider using Legacy and look for alternative contractors.

We recently contracted Legacy Outdoor Services to do some major landscaping. We highly recommend them since they were professional and did an excellent job. The work called for removing some very large holly trees and a large yaupon, and replacing several 13-year-old bushes along the front of our house.

Paul came to our house to create a long-term plan that not only included this project, but additional work that we want to have completed later. He listened well and thoroughly assessed our needs. We received his estimate the next day.

Tami is very knowledgeable about plants and bushes and showed us pictures of her ideas on her laptop. She designed an attractive plan for our front yard and went to several local nurseries. She personally supervised the placement of bushes around our house.

Abraham and a small crew reporting to him removed the old plants, planted the new ones, and mulched the beds. They focused on their work and cleaned up the area each day before leaving.

We are pleased with how this project turned out, and we look forward to the next phase and beyond with Legacy Outdoor Services.

Legacy Outdoor Services did a most beautiful job landscaping my front yard. They installed a stone border around my flower beds and perfectly matched the stone with the stone on my house. They added so much color to my yard with yellow, red and green shrubs and added even more color with flowers. It is outstanding and I am extremely pleased. The landscape workers are very professional and polite. They were always on time and did what they promised each day. The owner, Tami, came by most days to ensure that I was happy with the way the job was going. They are very flexible and allowed me to do add-ons as we progressed. I plan to re-landscape the back yard next and I will be using Legacy. Their work is excellent!!!!

We hired Legacy Outdoor Services for a drainage issue. We quoted several other companies as well. Not only did Legacy provide a detailed quote with the scope of work to be performed it was very priced very competitively. The entire staff is to be commended. I was kept informed as to when the job would be started without having to follow up. When the crew arrived they were well prepared and ready to work. This is by far the best crew I have seen. They worked extremely well as a team. This was a messy job to say the least. The clean up was amazing. When they left you couldn’t even tell they had been there! I would highly recommend Legacy for your outdoor needs.

We began working with Legacy a very long time ago, many many years ago! It started as a backyard pool and landscaping project that was on track, and they were hugely patient and involved with the create design aspect, and the many changes in design and budget. Our plans were disrupted by COVID and were sadly paused. We have very recently actually started the backyard project and are excited and thankful to be working with them, as it is a stressful time to have many moving parts and trying to visualize it all coming together. We are excited to have started, and irrespective of the project and how it all rolls out, we have come to care about the Team at Legacy. We have spent a lot of time with them over the years, in planning and designing and they are just lovely people. More to come later on the project and completion. In the years our backyard was in limbo, they helped us on a big office project, and also a smaller home project. 5 stars on both!

About a year ago Legacy helped us close out our office space on a new building purchase that was only 80% completed. This involved cabinets, flooring, counters, electrical, adding a bathroom, moving walls, creating larger offices, changing entryways/doors, creating unique things like a pass through space. The team, and everyone involved in the company are always professional, polite, kind, resourceful, available, present, and listen to your vision and do everything in their power to bring that to reality. This entire project is deserving of its own review with pictures, which I will do very soon as a huge thank you! They minimized any disruption to our customers, staff, and patients, and we were able to carry out normal business operations without closing one day! They were cognizant and respectful of the work we do, and organized a plan to do a rather massive project without disrupting workflows. Rather amazing, to think about all that happened retrospectively. Sometimes we get busy and forget to say thank you.

A few years back, Legacy also successfully managed a bathroom project that stemmed from a bad builder and walk in shower design (water seeping below the shower & into crawl space!). The did the necessary work quickly, without much disruption to our home life, and the finished project was great. Shower, flooring, and now the proper water protection needed for a walk in shower.

We added a pergola and some concrete flatwork around our backyard, and the team at Legacy Outdoor was great to work with!
Everything went smoothly from the first quote to the last bit of landscaping. We especially appreciated their quick and detailed communication. Would definitely reach out to them again for future work!

We are so pleased with the work that Legacy Outdoor Services just completed at our house. They installed and sculpted the most beautiful waterfall feature in our mountainside back yard, along with up-lighting that really looks awesome in the evening. Additionally, they put in a flagstone patio with a gas fire pit, with beautiful natural landscape features and mulch beds all around. We have had many compliments on it, and it is surprisingly low maintenance too! We just love it!
We had several unforeseen complications which were out of Legacy's control, related to our gas line installation and inspection, that Legacy patiently and proactively worked through. We appreciated their high level of customer service and commitment, and will certainly use them again in the future!

Absolutely Great Company and Employees! Everyone was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable but, most of all they do what they say they will do with impeccable results (see photo).

Legacy recently do work screening in our back porch. They did an excellent job. The customer service and quality of work done was great and I would highly recommend them for any home improvement projects.

Legacy built a beautiful back porch with stone. They worked hard to obtain correct colors and the railing that I wanted. They were professionals. Good job!!

So I wish I could give a higher score for this company, but after having our fence replaced and having a patio built there were a few issues along the way.
The good: The patio turned out very nice and is almost exactly what we envisioned. The fence is a huge improvement over what was falling down before.
The problems: While replacing the fence the fence company went in and cut out many plantings and bushes that they deemed in their way without any warning to us they also allowed the fence to fall on some bushes causing the bush to break off at the ground or die. They also placed an obviously seen sprinkler head into my neighbors yard that I had to move back to my side. The fence was supposed to be an exact replacement but it had been moved here and there slightly and the gates were now a larger size than before which would be fine but we had border walls that lined up with the gates that were now out in the open. When told the job was finished some things were left undone/unfixed or in a mess and we had to point them out and state how these things were done by legacy and should be completed/fixed by them.
In the end we had about 5 issues, legacy fixed 2 of them I fixed 1 but nothing was ever done about the plantings that died. No one has contacted us to ask our feelings on how it turned out which I find odd when this much has been spent on an improvement. Waited a while for work to begin but once it started it was knocked out quickly. Would use them again but would make sure that the workorder was thoroughly defined.

They are an awesome company and do great work. Family owned, felt like they really cared about a job well done. Highly recommend!

Abraham and his crew were professional, courteous, and performed everything that I expected, while keeping me informed if anything unexpected came up.

They fixed some major drainage and erosion issues in the back yard (see before and after photos) by burying downspouts, building a French drain that went out to the road, and tying the downspouts into the drain. It is super satisfying to watch tons of water just pouring out of the drain into the street after a heavy rain.

They also graded and re-sodded the yard with Zoysia for less than it would have cost me to personally buy the Zoysia and lay the sod myself. I highly recommend Legacy for your personal landscaping project.

We hired Legacy Outdoor Services to put in brick borders for our flower beds and then to put in a concrete and brick patio with flower beds in our back yard. From the very beginning they were professional and timely. They kept us well informed on when work would be done and honored those schedules, very unusual in construction these days! They worked with us very closely on plans and were happy to adjust when something needed to be changed. Their main concern was that we were happy with the results. It was a pleasure to deal with everyone who was involved with our project. We couldn’t be happier with our patio and we enthusiastically recommend Legacy Outdoor to anyone needing landscaping work done.

Miller and his team were absolutely incredible. They not only revitalized my hardscaping, they rebuilt the hardscaping for my fire pit and my grill, and installed beautiful gazebos over each of them. He also built a gorgeous stone wall around my koi pond that is a work of art. Miller was fantastic to work with, and exceeded all my expectations. My back yard is an oasis now.

Miller and his crew did an excellent job replacing a funky concrete patio that pooled water. The new pavers and drains look beautiful. And, when I asked the crew to be mindful of our nesting bluebirds while they cut the crew was great. Our winged family thrived.

They do amazing work! Very professional and on time. I highly recommend!!!
